Started watching because I'm going on sky princess in November and your videos popped up... I'm invested now. Grandad George is more mobile than me and I'm in my 30s 😂 thankyou for the "this is where you can go If you can't walk far"
Thank You for watching. 😊 Yeah we used to do more but no we are limited but still useful to know what there is near by with limited mobility and a limited budget also. The sky Princess is very nice the service and food is amazing!!!!
I disembarked from this ship the day you embarked ... the ship is great, enjoyed my trip very much, OK there are some rough edges, like insufficient staff in the bars for sailings when the ship is busy but there are so many facilities and activities happening all the time it is a great floating resort. Never had an problems with the buffet but I did time my meals there to avoid the "peak" time slots, anywhere can be busy at peak times.
I really like it, I come over negative but if you watch the full series, you will see my end thoughs. I love the ship and the style and the things to do on board. The food has come on a long way in the several years since my first MSC sailing. And the value for money is fantastic 😊
My son and I are going on the MSC Virtuosa in 2 weeks time, so I am binge watching MSC Virtuosa UA-cam videos... naturally 😅 I have been given a time of 10am to board the ship, I'm curious as to whether or not you were given a time to board? I can't believe how long it took you to board 😮 that being said I'm so impresses with how you keep your cool during the process though 😊 xx
I took a while it's a one of maybe, I'm very negative on the first days so always watch more. LOL Its a great ship, watch also my other MSC Euribia review, same size ship different experience. But you will all have a great time!!!!
We're really enjoying your vlog series on the Virtuosa. We're doing the exact same itinerary on Virtuosa at the end of May. Now we know what sort of crowds to expect. Joyce says hi and can we borrow Grandpa George for Karaoke? 🤣
It was really good I'm doing it again in October just without the Rotterdam part. Been on the ship a few times it's loverly. So that was really busy and it's the price it's affordable and they pack them in to keep the prices low. Watch my last series of videos it was same MSC different ship, same size everything total different experience. This was school holidays the other was in school term, maybe the difference. But it is what it is plan for the worse and if it's better it's better 😊
Oh dear dreading it now..we are assisted boarding..all that queuing and then having to activate your cruise card.. we can't go up and down floors and need the lift ..so can forsee a awful lot of the cruise spent waiting for lifts.
Assisted boarding will make it alot easier. As for cruise card you can register a card before you go which makes that easier. But the lifts and waiting is a thing that can't be fixed. You gonna need to plan ahead and give yourself time. The hardest day will be the last day as the lifts is even worse then. But speak to reception and maybe they can help you.
Thank you for this. Im cruising out of Dubai with my mum and adult kids in March. I have to say your attitude is way better than mine would have been. After 3hrs and then the state of the cabin? I would have had a bit of Karen melt down 😂
I tell you what, I think your gonna love this. Iv only ever done the MSC in the cold. So lovely warm weather and I bet it shines, as the outside decks is massive and I'm sure they will move lots of stuff outside. It's gonna be really good 😊. I stood up for 7 hours on a delayed train home next to someone's armpit 😂. I'm sure the boarding won't be as bad as our experience, but just know all the wonders you have coming your way. Don't forget to pre book drinks package for best price and also the fun pass I think it's called. For £90 you get £150 worth of credit. So the kids small and larger can try put all the amazing things onboard and if your keen to get straight to enjoying the sun, pack your swim wear in your hand luggage. Hope you have an amazing time 😁
@cruisewithmyfather2730 Thanks for the tips! Also appreciated the pre-cruise mini tour of Southampton. We'll be disembarking there and spending a week in the UK, before heading home yo Australia. It's our first time in the UK, so it's all new to us. Thanks again for the upload :)
You’re remarkably upbeat and positive for such a shit show of embarkation. I’d be moaning way more after 3 hours of queues followed by the buffet carnage! Even the dirty cabin you took in your stride. 👏
I won't lie I was shocked, done lots of cruises and big boats even bigger than this and it's never been as slow as this or as rowdy. It all works out in the end and getting off was really good. It was rowdy Tho all the time lol.
It looks like a shopping centre at Xmas time, that’s not cruising its mass chaos, thanks for the vlog it’s convinced me I never want to go on one of these monstrosities 😅 P&O or Cunard all the way
It was busy and did have some downsides. But it was £3000 cheaper than the last Princess Cruise we booked agreed different ports but for the price the MSC scores well and the staff and drinks etc was fantastic.
It's not shocking at all. I go on MSC every year. The buffet has amazing food and the drink cocktails at the atmosphere bar are perfect. Also nice drinks at the casino bar too but thats for night time.

Great video mate, really put a smile on my face. Keep it up :)
Thank You 😊 just a bit of an honest review and fun!!! Thanks for the view.

Thank you for the video. MSC Virtuosa is beautiful. And please call it a ship not a boat. It earns the right to be a ship 😄
Haha, long term channels watches always know I make that mistake a lot lol. It's a beautiful place to be that's got sure.

We did another MSC just last week and there is a video series coming out. Was a total different experience.
Just a question. With the travel insurance I have the company and policy number on my hays travel receipt is that ok with MSC??
Yeah, always if you can try copy of the certificate with you just to be safe.
what time were you due on and what time did you get there?
It took about 3 hours. We was due on at 11 I think and was there for the correct time.
@@cruisewithmyfather2730 good to know cheers.
We are going on this ship in 5 weeks xx
It will be great!!!
Did you have a drinks package?
Yes, the MSC drinks package is very very good and if you can get it when booking it's amazing value.
Jesus, I’ve done a few cruises but every single about that ship looks shocking.
It was busy and did have some downsides. But it was £3000 cheaper than the last Princess Cruise we booked agreed different ports but for the price the MSC scores well and the staff and drinks etc was fantastic.

It’s a city
Thank You :-)
MSC is well known for inefficiency! Would never sail with them
