Insipired by Brad Owen and Rampage Poker, I am a Live Low-Limit No Limit Texas Holdem Poker player who wants to push out great poker content and build a community of PokerBEASTs, where we can learn, grow, and enjoy this beautifully complex game together.

Hey Cato- I went to Jamul and played last Friday. I made sure to let the pit-boss know I was there because I watch your Vlogs. He was very appreciative for the info. and said he would pass it along to the manager. Seems like you guys have a good thing going. Booked a $400 win over 3 hours of play. The dealers were nice and the game was good. I'll go back soon.

On the last hand I think your best options are A. Lead $140--this keeps him from checking behind with a draw or pocket pair and gets most of your stack in (this can be a shove if you want to price out his draws a bit). B. Check/shove the turn. You aren't folding to any riv, so just calling gives him a chance to save $106 by folding or checking back on the riv with a lot of hands he would've had to call if you shoved the turn. Nice session and good work building the blog!

He said he was just getting into poker, but played very well from the start. Plays daily, uploaded almost daily. Went to Vegas to play just after starting out in poker.

Played last Saturday at Jamul. First session I won 375. Second session I was even (500 in stack) and got KK vs some lady who just sat down. I raise 25 pre and get 3 callers. SHe ended up flopping a set of jacks and stacked me. Lots of action, I was just unlucky.

You could have filmed almost everywhere in Vegas but you messed up by asking for permission instead of doing it like everyone else and asking for forgiveness if they had a problem with it

He most definitely went about it the wrong way. If he was going to ask that should have been done weeks in advance of his trip based on everyone who needs to approve it, you can’t really think you’re going to walk-in, ask to film and be told yes.

I gotta say using an off-color chip to mark stacks into 20's is unique. NEVER seen that, ever. Noticed before, of course, just felt like commenting now. Nobody busting your chops for a "dirty" stack?
No one in game, people do here all the time. The only reason I do it is so I can better count the chips while editing without straining my eyes

Long time no post, I hope everything is alright with you. I just need more material from you. You said at the beginning of the vlog series that you’d be posting nearly everyday and that this would be one of the best poker vlogs. You started off strong but with only one post in the last two weeks, I’m starting to wonder if everything is ok. Or what’s going on, I know you went to Vegas and you couldn’t really record but it’s been a little while. Have you just been going to places you can’t record, taking some time off, playing tourneys, or got Covid or something that’s preventing you from playing. At any rate, just saying we miss you and need more vlogs and hope everything is ok with you and nothing serious happened. Hope you’re having a great day, and look forward to seeing more videos soon!

@@PokerBEAST I wasn’t feeling great, fighting a migraine, but did play for 3 hours. Results were poor, ran into some bad spots and with a migraine I didn’t stick around to get it back. Will post the vlog in the next couple of days. All I really know is that Jamul loves you. It’s great that you and the poker room have such a great relationship. Wish that more casinos can see the benefit of vloggers. Free advertising!

@@dougmccuskerpoker I am with you @ Doug McCusker...but I'm guessing the Casinos that don't allow vlogging are concerned about cheating and protecting the integrity of the game!!! Otherwise why would they not want the free advertisement!?! At any rate keep up the great content...both you guys!!
@@nicciblack2671 I think their major concern is privacy for their patrons. If they see that vloggers are responsible and protect people’s privacy by not using names or showing faces, I feel that the attitude towards vlogging would change. I can personally say I would have never visited Jamul if it wasn’t for Cato’s vlogs.

It really is interesting when there are some poker players they allow to film. I've asked at rooms where other vloggers have filmed and been told no as well. I'm guessing there's some super secret squirrel way of doing without the room knowing. Would love to figure it out.
They just do it and for the most part unless someone openly complains they wont say anything or they politely tell you no filming and then just stop there. It's why most Vegas vloggers rarely lift the camera or get any different angles, they don't want to be super obvious about it to the poker floor. It's even easier now with more spaced out tables and the dividers at some casinos.

Mind you, this is right after we pushed all in into a multiway pot holding J8( but they were suited). We are putting $200 stacks in pre multiway with any two......and this is the right direction?
Roulette pays better odds of you just want to gamble. And btw, there are only 36 ways to lose there.
J8 has pretty good odds.....against what? Dog to over cards, way behind over pairs, like maybe 40% against nines and tens, really bad against any better J
And a coin flip against under pairs. For what odds? Slightly better than even money.
I gotta question this line of thought.

what i like about you vlog is that you show the crap hands you fold. that is a part of the annoying thing about the cherry picking that happens on so many vlogs out there. Well done. Also sound decision making during play.

Great stream! Hope you’re doing well. Kind of odd you can’t use your camera in Vegas casinos but Brad Owen can Andrew Neemee can. Etc. Remember though they created meet up games all over the map. They brought and had multiple players to establishments = dollars lots of them. That’s most likely why they can do there Vlogs at Vegas casinos.

you need to start to realize the table dynamic, if people keep calling your preflop bets, you need to start making it more, if 5 people call $25 pre...make it $35 next time

Nope, the only input of knowledge I get is from watching UA-cam videos. The only people I talk to about poker is you guys.

Hey man are you ok did you get drunk and get hitched at the Elvis chapel in LV what happened to you brah?
With the QTcc hand...there's some merit there to 3b from SB vs late position...but I think calling is also fine sometimes - obviously you could have gotten 4b...some scenarios where he shows up with a Kings or something there and you just have to fold, but in the times where he's trying to trap you with Aces or whatever...or flops a flush draw, he's going to continue on the flop because he thinks maybe you just have AK/AQ, etc and either he's ahead with Kings/Aces, etc or he can get there with his flush draw and you just have him so dominated with your trips. I think a call was fine too tho...just would've been REALLY disguised that you have trips if you'd 3b...especially if you then just lead or raise, as it will often seem as though you're just repping either an over pair or a 10 and there should really only be one combination that 3b from SB with a 10 - 10/10...if it were higher stakes, you'd probably add JTsuited and T9suited, but since you so rarely even SEE a 3b in the low stakes that when you do, you almost ALWAYS think QQ/AK+...anyway...nice hand...thumbs up

it’s for a promotion. Certain hands get you tickets to a drawing. You turn in that sheet at the end of the night and your tickets get deposited

Why not take control rather than counting gonna table full of passive players. Of course they all limp with you.
Next time try $25 or $35. Protect your position.
I don't mind limping AK but don't do it expecting others to work for you. You'll get raises but then what? Fold to a check raise or call. What are they raising with?

it would be nice to see WHAT THE OPPONENT HAVE.
You built your stack early with a semi-wild flip. But you then just limp UTG with AK...I think they saw the stack and didn't want you to start putting it to work, and you allowed them to see a cheap flop. Multiple players behind you saw a scary flop and wasted your AK. Not raising AK pre-flop also resulted in not thinning the herd and getting a sense of the strengths of their cards.

You consistently get your money in bad. Most of the big pots you win you are put to the test for all or most of your chips but somehow manage a suck out. Your game is based on pure luck.
donk leads usually mean they have it in these cash games lol.
Donk lead rivers 100% but flops it’s a lot of draws or weak top pairs and such
You should have won $150 more checking back the queens and folding to a bet on the river
