    I shot my first wedding last week, which was much smaller than this one is, with a friend of mine and it was so hard for me to get good looking shots although we were two people. Biggest props to you for shooting this one all by yourself ! The BTS footage helped me a lot ! Thanks man.

    after watching all the parts back to back.. I learned SO much from you. and I definitely cried watching it all come together. such talent you have!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us. I have been wanting to shadow someone for a while now because I am a visual learner.... I came across your channel today and I no longer feel the need to shadow anyone because I just did it in the comfort of my home. Again, THANK YOU! this is so helpful to me!!

    Hello Kraig, I'm watching every video training but I would like to know if will be posible to watch the final edited video of any of you weddings, how long do the final video lasts, because the trailler is from 5 to ten minutes correct, do you use the same party music or do you replace the music, that is what confused me a lot and became dificult if I have to use two or three cameras. Please I need your help. I live in NJ and love to do video and photography.

    haha craig, love the ingenuity with the speaker connection. I've actually had to jerry-rig something on a rack system that was set the morning (filming in afternoon) and nobody was around to show me where a line out was. So what I ended up doing was opening an access panel using my XLR y cable to split the output from the amp to the speaker with half going to my Roland R26 line input. Speakers were mounted on the ceiling so I couldn't do your method. Worked a treat. In this case I would have probably split the mic xlr in a similar fashion to cut down on the noise. That was actually my one critique with your final film - if you use audition or a good plugin like iZotope you could have greatly killed that background hiss coming from the mic.

    I have a question. What do you do if there is NO "pause and resume" button?
    Example#1: What if you are currently filming the bride and then you wish to film her bridesmaid who are outside. How do you shift from "the bride" scene who is inside the room to shoot "the bridesmaids" outside the room? Do you just keep the camera rolling while you are heading outside to shoot the bridesmaids and then just cut out the "irrevelant scenes" later as you edit the videos? I may sound silly but in smartphones, it is easy to press the pause button so that you won't have to film unnecessary/irrelevant parts of the event. Then, just press the resume button when you are ready for the next scene without creating a new file. Please help me understand. I am a newbie. I never had a dslr camera before. I plan to purchase a C100 because I like the old features compared to the newer Canon models.

  • @onenarrowdoor
    @onenarrowdoor 8 років тому

    American weddings are (largely) so much more lavish than British weddings. I have noticed that American couples are so keen to 'work it' for the camera, compliant and patient with direction from videographers. The English in particular are camera shy and happy with any old shite as long as the vows were filmed. They also want everything for £250 tops but think nothing of spending four times that on a photographer. Looking at wedding videographers outside the bespoke London companies, they are light years behind in terms of art.

    • @lamosos
      @lamosos 8 років тому

      Yet somehow the majority of those lavish Americans still don't get the video for their weddings.

    • @andrewtregoning
      @andrewtregoning 8 років тому

      are you a wedding videographer?

    • @onenarrowdoor
      @onenarrowdoor 8 років тому

      Not even part time and probably won't be for some years - the market over here is either London bespoke companies charging thousands or Uncle Ted charging ten pints of bitter and a sausage roll at the reception. In between you have a few very poor videographers cleaning up at £600-800 (unaware middle class clients). There is one bloke in a city of 1million people cleaning up with some dreadful work. I would put a link but just look him up (birmingham wedding videography uk). Going to just do the odd wedding and look towards documentary work instead. I did one last year and found it easy.

    Somehow I have to learn to get into the short film mindset, where all you need is a few decent looking shots and good audio.

    • @WeddingFilmSchool

    First off you are awesome. I have never attended film school, just youtube and you are definitely my top professor. I have done some photographer in the past, however your videos encouraged me to give video a try. I just received my drone 107 cert and recently started a small business on the side. But the link below is my first wedding video that I filmed. I took a lot of your advice, techniques, and used some of the gear within my budget. I filmed this with two 70d's but used a lot of the other stuff you recommended. Definitely some shaky areas but I felt it was pretty good for my first one. Thanks again keep up the videos. ua-cam.com/video/WfJhWH_h3aY/v-deo.html
