Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

YES please revisit the races and break the records
When you were building the plane car I had an idea. How about a car that when it doesn't detect the ground, wings pop out of it and it become a glider. Then when the vehicle is on the ground the wings go back into it. I think to give this some challenge is to make the car look like it doesn't have wings until it is airborne.

Hey 1 tip... For every race.. Or usually every race. Landing on your back wheels helps you maintain your speed on jumps👍. Also it softens your landing
Do Cliff Land again a few times. I did it until I think 12th place? It taught me so much about weight distribution, aerodynamics, drag, and power.
1 dragon engine, 1 raw thruster, and I think 4 mini thrusters. Using some fins and thrusters on rotating servos (25degree up or down) to increase downforce on the front end when turning, and reduce impact when hitting the ground after jumps.
Boost with raw in opening and sparingly throughout the race.
Tons of 1x4, 1x3, and 1x2 wedges.
Moar aerodynamics for more zoom
Do a video where you test all the recommended vehicles in all levels

If you have trouble with high speed turning, use vertical tailwings outside your wheels. That will help a lot.

quick question, why do you have both spoilers and wings? downforce and lift don't really coexist at all...

he already tried that. huge fail since the motorbike seat has a center point but none of the servos have one.
When you visit the races again can you use the vehicles that it wants you to build and complete it that way 😀😀
You should try your trophy truck on the last race of the video, I think it would do good.
Try to do some F1 car races for multiplayer monday with the wings mod so you're gonna have more traction, so no thrusters, no glitches but wings pushing you into the ground
I would say just do them all but give yourself a scorecard, and only attempt a higher ranking 5 times for each race. this means you can make a vehicle, edit it, or start over only 5 times before accepting your placement. you can have as many practice runs on the original vehicle you used though to get a feel for the course.

If you re-create scrap man’s car the suspensions tunes I found work the best or full stiffness in the back suspension and stiffness of one in the front suspension for the ending car
also, why slick tires have less grip than profile tires in this game? ^^ (i know it is a game but, idk whatever OK)

the flying part was strange, yeah, had to rely on seat controls a lot^^
I actually built a flying car in the story mode, because my airplanes sucked at landing on small islands ;P
Way easier to just drive towards the island you wanna land and use gimball jets ;P
using a spoiler and wings counteract eachother and make it so its like you have neither but you're heavier
Then why did their recommended vehicle use wings with spoilers too?
@@scrapman in real life anyway. maybe they coded it in a way which makes both effective depending on altitude or other factors but it shouldnt have been doing either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I assume fins have a larger effect than spoilers. So the spoilers are a way to dampen the wing effect when riding on the ground
Try to make a vehicle that can clear every race in rally mode!
You cant. The earlier races only give you 1 or 2 power core and theres no way to win the later races with that.

They need a way to make more money. You win less money than it cost to buy each race And I still have a lot of cosmetic blocks to buy

The last car was to low to the ground which is why it kept self destructing whenever you landed from a jump
You should come back to do the rally challenges again with all the knowledge and expertise that you've gained over the last few years; see if you can smash some of the records and reach top 40 or better.
