@@Leratomogase well studies have shown that richer people tends to be smarter since they have more money to afford better education so wealth and knowledge does have a correlation.
🤠😎Excellent work. Tnx for video👍 🇮🇳
Why feel the need to put flag of such a shitty country (literally) on here?
They're minerals, Marie!
Thank you❤
Her eyes were shining while talking about the stones :)
Double reflection in Benitoite jeweler said Great properties.
Double reflection in Moissanite jeweler said bad properties.
Mohs scale only 6. It just a glass will it have wear and tear overtime.
Funny they didn't value it by their light properties and physical properties but just build story around it and up the price.
Moissanite is a synthetic gemstone. People understandably place high value on natural stones as they always have. There is only so much benitoite in the earths crust. The price is reflective of the actual scarcity.
Cindy you might want to go to (Benitolite) found in California . They are small 80% of the gem is lost when cutting 😢. It is a double refractive stone
Been up there numerous times. It was fun. I found quite a few gorgeous pieces for display. I have a very large rock, about 35 pounds. Haven’t explored it yet. But have hope there are some decent gems hidden in it. I’m a rockhound. I like my specimens in their natural state. But they are beautiful when faceted.
They're rocks
Ah yes, because we definitely need one of these in our life
I would love to coat my phone case with this gem and show off my status symbol to everyone by throwing it in their faces.
@monster x monster most people wouldn't know honestly. I'd probably think it's some plastic bead.
beautiful
Only one place to get to make it so expensive. Very good.
The mines are all closed. They are sorting yet again through tailings. The actual mining was what, 30 years ago.
Can you make a video of the guards of the tomb of the unknown soldier?
i read too much HnK, my mind is now polluted with depression each time a gemstone is mentionned... good job fosufofilaïto!
and now the supply is finite? the supply was always finite!
I really have absolutely no sympathy for the entire jewelry industry
Meaning?
Thank you very much for sharing this information. Super rare stone..
So it’s the Vibranium of the new world without all the cool sci-fi qualities… unless… there’s an entrance to an advanced hidden Native American city in the desert of San Benito built with all the good stuff
❣️🧚WOW BEAUTIFUL ❣️🧚
I like how the woman is so into her job :)
So beautiful thanks for this🙏🙏🙏
So, they take this supposedly ultra rare stone and grind away 80% so it looks prettier? Hmm
Hate to burst your bubble but all cut gemstones loose about 80% of their weight when cut. If you want a cut stone, you make that sacrifice. Otherwise just wear them raw?
Benitoite is scarcer than Black Opal or Yogo Sapphires. That is super rare.
Talk about "why is everything expensive?" next
wonder how good a optical lens of this material would be
Garnet.
Are those bulletholes in that fence? 1:03
probably, afterall even cats in usa own guns
So how much does the artificial counterpart cost?
Synthetic benitoite does not exist. No known method for growing this crystal exists.
Guarantee there's tons more under the ocean
I hv naysaburi turquoise dark green color, it looks like black. Not polished yet so i can see it naturally, the matrix formed number 8. i'm happy enough enjoying art of nature
Yes
Please make a video on why caviar is so expensive?
Over farming, the fact that you have to wait until the eggs are at peak maturity, the cost of running the boats, the tax levied, the small market share because few have the money to buy it, the cost of the sea salt to season it, the cost of the packing...
because fishes arent laying enough eggs to meet human eating demands
You guys are doing an exception job bringing this very rare item to surface I just read through the comments on this video and I am amazed at the ignorant of these people the rare and beautiful things of this Earth we're made by God for mankind to enjoy I don't understand that finding such error and beautiful thing takes a fantastic amount of time and effort and more than anything else so when it boils down to it they're cheap compared to the efforts put into finding them mining them fastening them and putting them on the market keep up the good work and don't let the naysayers ever influence your dedication to the Future
I like the paler stuff better - the blue stuff just looks like tanzanite...
My backyard, SBC.
Wow! Hello! How are you? You have a very cool UA-cam channel. Very cool work. You are a very talented person. May God keep you! I wish you and your channel success!
May you have 10 millions subscribers! You're cool!
wow at 6:13 it looks like an irl primogem
Oh, it sparkles more? ...take my money! hahaha
I think the same thing when I hold normal dirt in my hand…What an amazing universal event that could lead to the creation of this planet, but I guess dirt isn’t as expensive or as rare.
Let's tear up the environment because; stones... pretty...
Dang, barium, titanium, and silica (glass) makes a very expensive mineral.
If we can artificially make diamond, this one should be possible as well
Should be, but isn't. Try as we might, there are a whole host of natural gemstones with no synthetic counterpart. The mystery of the precise conditions required for their growth still eludes scientific knowledge.
Yeah this sounds better than diamond for a wedding ring
I once asked a buyer for Tiffany's why they didn't promote benitoite. He replied, "We can't get it. Why should we promote something we can't get?"
If aliens land on earth and ask "why would you price a stone that's EXACTLY the same molecular structure and macro look via human eyesight differently when geologically formed vs lab grown" we would be the galactic laughingstock
THANK YIU FO THE VIDEO SWEET
I'm sorry but can we please talk about the dog's eyebrows? 5:17
Not to be confused with bentonite (the stuff in cat litter)
Yeah, just thinking bentonite has many uses...gem stone is not one of them.
I have one that's tiny. Shame it can't show the mystical look in rough photographs
It’s so funny I don’t even know how this video popped up for me it’s just ironic because I live in Hollister and I go to new Idria just to shoot guns out there in the boonies I guess I got to start looking a little more closely on the ground haha
The actual spelling for Chris Benoit's name!
One of my favorite & Ruby's are better then Diamonds I make my own Gems these days!!!!
😂😂😂not everyone understood this
I happen to have a friend who has recently been teaching me the lapidary trade who dug up a piece of Benetoite before the lady closed the mine. He was friends with the lady who owns the land back in the 50s. She used to let people onto the property until they started renting big equipment and tearing her land up. As a matter of fact i know where a rough piece is sitting right now in South Missouri. But im not telling :)
You story dont make sense. There's only 3 places for this stone. Cali Japan and Arkansas. So your story is a lie. Sorry not sorry but facts are facts. That stone is fack
I prefer lapis.
Would you like a crown?👑♥️
2 Timothy 4 KJV
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
♥️know♥️
1 John 5 KJV
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 Corinthians 15
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 3 KJV
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
That’s a radioactive gem. I wonder if wearing it long term could cause illness.
No it isn't radioactive. There are no heavy unstable elements in this gem which undergo decay. Safe to wear as long as you'd like to.
That looks just like a tanzanite which is only found in Tanzania look it up
Similar not not identical and it’s rarer than tanzanite I think. At least in the video they don’t have big ct, for tanzanite you can get huge one.
7:08 A rarified confluence of events.
How reminiscent of the tanzanite industry - except it’s in Cali, this time. Well, well.
Well, it always used to craft in VH😂
They make this video look kind of sad, yet, it's just to support a $20 a hour employee and not a $10 employee. Those people will never tell you how much money they are really getting. $50? An hour? "not much"
Thats why I have 5 rings with these gems
this looks like potentially profitable avenue of exploration for the man made diamond industry. not a mineral expert but if they can create man made diamonds maybe those same machines could be used to produce this
Diamonds are one element (carbon) smashed really hard, this is a more complex joining. Also, to be fair, man made diamonds are mostly industrial quality.
@@mwater_moon2865 they've actually come a long way and I seen some amazing gem quality man made diamonds. in fact Producer Michael has a video on the largest man made diamond for jewelry. still not giant but they're reaching multi carat sizes.
I'm sure if they put enough thought into it, they could replicate it, but it'd likely to be incredibly cost prohibitive.
@@diogeneskoolaid8437 I am aware of some of those, as man made diamonds made from people's or pet's ashes have been a thing for well over 2 decades now.
But 1) those are colored, usually blue or yellow fancy and 2) they're "multi carat" in raw form, which once cut down into the pretty sparkilies we're used to seeing total about 40% of the original weight with the largest cut and polished D-E color (colorless), IF clarity (you can't see any inclusions with a jeweler's loop), stone topping out around 1 ct.
White diamonds are just now hitting a point where they're commercially viable, and only b/c DeBeer's has kept such a stranglehold on the US diamond market for so long to "maintain price stability." That won't keep flying if the Russians become desperate enough to try to dump theirs via back channels.*
And MORE to the point, Benitoite is NOT the same as a diamond.
*while the US has embargo'd cut diamonds sold directly from Russia, they aren't doing anything about all the ones going through Antwerp or being cut in India and then coming to the US despite origins in Russia.
