Amesoeurs - Amesoeurs (2009) [Full Album]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лис 2024
- Founded in Summer 2004 by Neige, Audrey Sylvain and Fursy Teyssier.
The band split up after releasing their first full-length album, due to an inability to agree upon the future of the band. They performed one live show back in 2005.
The meaning of the word Amesoeurs is "soulsisters" or "soulmates" in English.
Songs:
1. [00:10] Gas in Veins
2. [05:17] Les ruches malades
3. [09:36] Heurt
4. [15:37] Recueillement
5. [22:38] Faux semblants
6. [27:00] I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV
7. [31:51] Trouble (Éveils infâmes)
8. [33:34] Video Girl
9. [37:45] La reine trayeuse
10. [43:19] Amesoeurs

Audrey S. [Vocals, Piano]
Fursy T. [Guitars, Bass]
Winterhalter [Drums]
Released in USA and Canada by Profound Lore Records, with catalogue # PFL-044.
Issued in a super jewel box.
The CD booklet pressing has printed the tracks in the wrong order showing songs "I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV" and "Trouble (Éveils infâmes)" switched, while the tracklist on the back cover has printed in the correct order. The tracklist depicted here is correct.
"I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV" is an encoding of "Amesoeurs Is Dead" in Roman numerals.
Track 11 lasts for 11:17 overall and contains "Au Crépuscule De Nos Rêves" which calms down at ~5:37 and then after a silence gap an untitled hidden track till the end
Translation of track titles:
2. Sick Colony
3. Collision
4. Meditation
5. False Pretences
7. Disrupt (Infamous Awakenings)
9. The Queen Milkmaid
10. Soulmates
11. To the Twilight of Our Dreams
"Recueillement" uses as lyrics the poem with the same name written by the French poet Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867) and published in 1857 in the Les Fleurs du mal collection.
The booklet features a reproduction of "Roosevelt Island Voyeurism" by Baris Gunal.

Yes, great job on the detailed description!
BTW, if you translate each numeral in "I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV" into the corresponding letter of the Latin alphabet, it reads "Amesoeurs is dead"
Oh, wow! I don't know why I didn't figure this one out before. Cheers!
and that's why I don''t like it lol it's heartbreaking
I freaking love this garbage so much

I love the usage of the pixels from space invaders, that's a nice touch :3.
Although I will say you got something mixed up: "I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV" is the actual track 6, while "Trouble (Éveils infâmes)" is track seven.
AtrocityEquine Yes, indeed... Although, the actual CD inlay gets it wrong, too ^^
Wait, or was it the other way around? I don't have it in front of me right now
Benjamin Philipp Well the actual CD says it's first the roman numeral track and then it's Trouble, but in the booklet, they screwed up and put Trouble first.
***** Understandable =D. I still love this "full album video" than the other, due to it's creative usage of rain, as well as the using the album text/pixels from the back booklet.
Thank you!
