I suffered with panic attacks for most of my life until it was something that was finally identified in the 80's. After some nightmarish years of crippling anxiety verging on agoraphobia, many trips to doctors/emergency rooms, and frantic calls to my supportive sister, I saw a therapist who specialized in phobias and anxiety and it helped tremendously. I finally stopped thinking that every attack was a heart attack, symptoms of a brain tumor, etc. and learned strategies to cope when the panic hit. In those days there were not many effective medications to help people to deal with anxiety effectively while still being functional. When SSRIs were introduced, I was prescribed Paxil and it changed my life ( I now take Lexapro). I hope your son will seek assistance....chronic anxiety/ panic is not something he can overcome on his own. Your support is valuable, but he needs the help of a medical professional to get himself to a healthy place. God bless♥️
Anxiety and panic disorder is tough, especially if you’re told to “just be strong and don’t think about it.” It’s different for everyone and I can understand your concern for your son. I've had to finally go on medication for panic attacks Antonella. It has changed my life. I couldn't go out of my house for almost 2 years. I was in the ER all the time thinking I was dying. I pray for Phil.

It can’t help his anxiety that his parents live on a fricken boat. Maybe go and live near him or with him for a while? Maybe he’s worried about his parents! You’ve been on the boat long enough. It should be your hobby, not your life.
Our adult children worry about us more than they let on. How long do you plan on living on the boat? Just curious. So many of the QVC hosts that were let go are back in some capacity. You are a great salesperson. I bet there’s a place for you back there (if you want that) or at another channel. Good luck to you.
