If you don't find a slot to put in a screwdriver, don't despair! For some ES350 models, the key fob looks just like the one in the video, but after removing the key, it's opened by simply sliding one side of the cover to the side. Specifically after removing the key, slide the side with the L logo towards the right.
Life Saver thank you so much to everyone out there who creates these videos. This is why all these plataforma should exists much love wish I could thank more. You’ve just save me a trip to the dealership 🙏
1:14 for some reason, my battery doesn’t click in and keeps springing back up. Plus is up and it’s a CR2032. I can’t see anything that would be blocking it. Any ideas?
Looks like I’m about to break the tabs that hold the battery in. Probably smarter to take to the dealer rather than risk destroying it and having to buy a new one.
Thanks, you made the impossible, doable in two minutes. How does Lexus think the average consumer could have figured this out without this video?
Glad it helped!

I opened the key fob to change the battery but there is no battery. Do rental companies remove the batteries?
They do not normally do that as the key would not work without a battery
