You forgot about the 365 HP dale 1970 1/2 RS camaro that I built with 4-11 rear trans am swaybars and 13 inch wide tires in Daytona yellow. It's a great car... dale.
u should read up on the mark 4 series which came out in 1970 it even says they changed the angle of pistons and pushrods which means a all new block even my 67 yenko is consider a aftermarket car not factory even the 70 chevelle that got the ls block is a aftermarket not factory they pulled the 454 bbc and put a ls 6 454 in it my 67 came with a 396 factory and yenko dealer ship put the 427 in it which means it is a aftermarket car
BUT for me the seats factory recline too much for me in that whole generation. I have to sit up straight or it kills my back. IF you put the seat straight up then my head is in the hoodlining. So give me a 70 Mustang,, for me far more comfortable or even a Mopar
Me as well, mainly due to nostalgia, and my father having rebuilt and owned one when I was a young teenager. I remember driving I back from the shed when he got it running sitting on a milk crate.
The 427 was a much better engine than the 454. The L-88 & ZL-1 put out up to 585 HP right from the factory despite being rated at only 430 HP. Thanks insurance companies.

1st gen is my favorite... Back in the day there were several very quick ones around my area (lower NY State) running 327's. My 2001 325-HP. 6-spd - WS6 Trans Am Brand New , beat a LT4 Corvette on the freeway, 3-5 gear, my car only had 200 miles on it, and walk that 340 HP LT4. then later added full exhaust , tune,& 373 gears, From a roll it would beat any car that ran low 12’s in a 1/4 mile . Put a smile on my face every time I would shift those gears . 😅😅
of all my muscle cars i miss most, is my 87 IROC. not as fast as my old 02 SS by a long shot, but the s3xy styling can't be denied! bought one new back then in dark red metallic, with the gold trimmed wheels. had some good times in that old IROC. went to many a rock concerts in that car. spent endless summers at the lake with it. everyone wanted to ride in it.. just nothing but great memories. and funny enough, the Silkwood kids lived right up the street from me where i used to live in S OK. they had just got their settlement from the Kerr McGee thing, and the son got a new Grand National, and his sister got a Trans Am. so we were kind of the bad boys on the block, or street! lolz.. the 80s were great, but wouldn't of been the same without those specific muscle cars! ☮
Local Chevy dealer back then made the news and Paper Every single IROC had its wheels stolen overnight....many were stolen off lots back then. Those were instant classics back then. If you had a Z or a 5.0 stang you were the cheez back then ll
also had an 87 iroc...........ive owned chevelles,6 other camaros,a few trans ams and i loved that iroc.i also had a chance to drive a lb9(305) 5 speed, high ratio rear formula(i think a 91-92) and that would be my first choice, quick, light, nimble, dead sexy.or of course a firehawk
The D EATH of the Camaro is NOTHING SHORT of GM aka M Barra (2013) INCOMPETENCE. When the Gen5 Camaro Relaunched in 2010 - it OUTSOLD the Mustang and Challenger for the first 5 years, 2010.11.12.13.14. Coincidence that Barra became CEO and Camaro DECLINED continually after her 1st year? I think NOT. Bringing back the 'Maro as an EV will be a DISASTER. NO REASON why you can NOT have a RENAISSANCE, the Technology is there and you can squarely go after Entry Porsches and M series BMWs.
I had a boss, named Dave, who owned a burgandy IROC Z. Great guy. He would only pull it out on nice days. I don't know how rare the last gen LT1 Camaros are, but I'd love to own one of those❤
I'm surprised the 1970 LS6 Camaro didn't make the list. The LS6 was originally on the RPO list for the 70 Camaro, but GM removed the RPO pretty early on. But one was ordered, built and sold before the RPO was removed from the option sheet. It still exists today, it's a silver SS.
the 302 DZ motor was every inch a valid competitor to the BOSS 302... Thank the automotive gods we have both so we can endlessly argue which is best...
I have a 87 IROCZ convertible black with gold trim but my first Camaro was a 69 pace car and I was hooked on Camaros I've had about 10 Camaros since I loved them all
My first cousin bought the 2nd Z28 sold in Ga in 1967. He was drafted to Vietnam in 1968, and his mother sold it while he was gone, because she was sure he would kill himself in it if he ever made it home. He did, and he never forgave her, and I took him with me when I turned 17 and found my Camaro, a 1970 1/2. He was proud for me, and I had to let him drive it home from the person I bought it from. Marriage and family came along later in life, and I had to sell my baby too, but I'll always have the great memories of both of them.
A guy in my grandfathers car club had a 70 1/2 rs/ss 396. Gold car, I can’t remember but I think it was automatic. He bought it from the original owner who bought it as a graduation gift for his daughter. I can’t remember why but she wanted something else. The car was stored and then bought by this man in Avon Park Florida. GM often asked him to purchase the car since it has such low miles. They wanted to add it to the museum. They even did small and large work to the car to keep it on the road. He told me they picked it up and freshened the engine. Man I wish I remembered his name. My grandfather would be 75 now and this guy was slightly older. Hopefully his kids or someone picked it up or sold it to GM. Awesome car.
My Camaro ownership: 69 350 4 speed 69 350 3 speed automatic 68 350 3 speed automatic no a/c (Originally 327 w/factory a/c) 2010 RS 2LT My 5th and current Camaro also a 2010 RS 2LT, love(d) them all!
Excellent video!! So many videos in this format, which look like this one, are full of crap, but this one is not!👍 My friend has an '81 Yenko TurboZ, a silver Stage One. And when I was two or three, I got to ride in my Uncle's new '68 Camaro SS396, but I'm pretty sure that his wasn't an L78 - it was a 4 speed though. White with the black stripe over the header panel, and back across the doors, and five-hole Rally Wheels.
Amityville Chevrolet who supplied Joel at Motion MANY LS-7’s. We used to put them in Racing Boats. Joel had two in COMOTION his boat. I changed a L88 cylinder head on it. Amity adversed the seven as: Horsepower to burn 660hp LS7! Miss you Steve!
It's a very lovely luxury muscle car, and it's a serious improvement from any stock car from Detroit. The only cars that could eclipse it are some of the later restomods of classic '60s and early '70s American muscle cars. The level of technical sophistication, craftsmanship, and design put into some modern restomods is just amazing.
The anniversary LT4 Camaro may have been a truly cool piece of "American" engineering, but it was actually a Canadian car. That generation of Camaro was built in Sainte-Thérèse, north of Montreal and shipped to SLP Engineering's plant in Lachine, another Montreal suburb, for transformation into an LT4 anniversary model.
Stage 2 Yenko 2nd gens super cool! 97 SLP SS was a huge deal back then too. low 13s real cold air intake. Good stuff...LT4 was GMs farewell to the Gen 1 sbc
I own a Red 91’ 1LE 5 speed, LB9(305) car. Bought it in 93’. I have my GM Vintage documents for it right now so for your info: the 305 made 230hp and the 350 (L98) made 245hp. Says here that 1570 Z28s were imported to Canada. Of those, 134 were 1LEs. Mine is also an(R7U) car. That’s the RPO for Canadian Players Car. Mine was raced by Ken Wilden in the GMmotorsport Players Challenge and was the proctor&gamble #17 Tide/Bounce car. Ron &Rob Fellows started out in that series. Also have an 02’ Z28 with 45 thousand original km. Borla & Vortech equipped. 520hp at wheels. I’ve been into F bodies since I was a tot. When I was a baby I rode around in dads 69’ bird. Learned to drive in his 86’ iroc. 🙄
I owned a 67' Camaro that was only powered with a 250ci In-Line 6 cylinder. I always wanted a 327ci but the 6 was pretty quick for what it was. I wish I still had that car.
It’s worth noting that GM, as well as some other manufacturers, were sued during the muscle car days. This was because they were being WAY underrated on their horsepower and torque output. If they said it put out 400, it was more like 450 plus, potentially plus a lot more. This was done to get the insurance cost on muscle cars to be lower. This made it more affordable for kids to buy and own the cars. It’s a well known and documented fact.
My first ride in a Camaro was in my 16 year old cousin's 1967 plain Jane green interior, and exterior color 307 , Saginaw 3 speed in the floor box stock Comaro. That was in 1974, and I was about 8 years old.! I thought it was a Hot Rod race car.! It was just a cheap, inexpensive old used car then. Flawless body, paint, and interior.!! It even had 307 emblems on the front fenders.! He sold it when he got his second car, a Trans Am.🤭😉
I feel more videos should mention the switch from gross to net horsepower in 1972. Yes, of course power dropped in the 70's, but it was not as drastic as it looked on paper.
Everyone always gets all excited about the big motored expensive low number build cars. Those are cool for the once over glance. But the ones I like are the more generic affordable models. Those were easy to find, easy to purchase and for the most part in many ways were the best looking ones. Ironically, they were so common and plentiful, very few have survived. It’s often easier to find the rare high dollar limited volume cars today than one of those. That’s why the James Rockford Firebird esprit is one of my favorite all time F body cars. It looked good then, still does today.
I owned a 1986 IROCZ 350/350 SS I had to special order the 350 back in 1986 being that 305 V8 were the normal engine back then it had a 6 speed Borg Warner six speed Black with Gold stripes
I'm pretty sure my neighbor down the road has one of those iroc 1LE.. it's literally sinking into the ground but in an old barn. He said a long time ago it was a rare car for racing, has the smaller 305.. it's appearance looked like a base model, nothing special. It's been a few years since that encounter. What would it be worth in very rough condition?
I have a 70 SS 396 Camaro that Was purchased from a friend (who bought it New in July of 1970) in 1977 missing the engine. I purchased a wrecked 70 SS 396 Chevelle in 79 and put the engine & tranny in my Camaro. It's been in storage 3 times currently since 2015
The 1967 to 1969 Camaro Z-28 was a 327 block using a 283 crank. The 1968 model I know about also had factory installed headers and chambered exhaust that used no mufflers. The engine balanced and blueprinted and the chambered exhaust taken from a factory Corvette exhaust was street legal and raced in the stock factory class quarter mile.
Called a DZ-302 the crank was same stroke as a 283 but it was forged steel instead of standard cast iron one from a 283. They had camel hump heads with the 2.02, 1.60 valves. Also had 800 cfm Holley and 11.0:1 compression ratio. The headers were never factory installed and were an option that came in the trunk the buyer had to install extremely rare a dealer may do it but that was like a buddy’s only thing. As far as the No muffler chambered exhaust that wasn’t a thing they all came with mufflers from factory have to remember 68 was first year of new smog regulation bs. Oh and all engines are balanced and blueprinted if they were not balanced they wouldn’t run and blueprinting just means someone wrote it down😂
Like the blue Camaro you had it had a name badge on it I remember when you bought it into harbour city cycles your blue Camaro now is quite priceless it was the one the factory would allow replacement parts the now selling for $700,000 USA your particular car had a name badge on it on the grill it started with b and that's what we're going on about they are priceless on today's market remember the front shape of your blue Camaro it's amazing how much they are so cherished on today's market 700 American be looking at 1.5 million for the condition your car was in people are grabbing them and restoring them I wonder where that ever went to??
The strike has nothing to do with the Camaro coming out late it was tooling issues with the quarter panels on the new design all other 1970 Chevrolets came out as normal in fall of 69
Here's a cool story: I had a '72 RS/SS 350 4-speed Camaro. One day, i decided to look for the build sheet. I found it under the right rear seat cushion. It said "72 Z27 402 Engine Turbo 400 transmission" Wait a second! My VIN was for a small block car. Sure enough, the VIN did not match. It also said black paint, black custom deluxe interior. My car was gold with black custom deluxe interior. How did these seats get in my car? Years later a lady walks up to me in a parking lot and says, "This was my boyfriend's car. Do you know the story on it?" I said, "No, tell me." She went on to say he lost control and went off the road into a ditch and under a barbed wire fence. Then the engine caught on fire. The interior burned up and they swapped it with another car and it also got a new wiring harness. I finally had my answer. And at sunset, if you looked at the repainted hood just right, you could see a faint line under the paint that went from the front to the back - that was where the barbed wire scratched to the metal and showed through the paint.
Hi, I was a backyard mechanic in the late 70's and into the 80's. I worked on many cars. I worked with a guy that wanted a motor for his 78 z28 camaro. I changed it for him. The car was different because it had a stainless steal or aluminum trim that was roughly 6 to 8 inches wide, it was located in front of the back window and went from drivers side to passenger side. I've never seen another one with this. I'm sure it was from factory because it was a perfect fit. Would you know where I could find out more info on it. I'm sure it was one of one car.
Wrong. The LS7 was slated for Corvette production and was not a replacement for the LS6. Again wrong on the statement that " there were only a few left around". You could buy the LS7 Crate CE over the counter until the late 80s. One made it into a factory 1970 Chevelle SS as a press car.
I tried to buy a 1LE 89 IROC. I talked to John Heinricy at GM on numerous occasions. No dice. I wasn't a sanctioned racer. He wouldn't let me order one. The good old days when you could actually call GM on the phone and talk to the people making these cars.
So General *Motors* is in the business of electric motors? Ford Motor Company? A motor mount is only for electric motors? A motocross is only for electric motorcycles? Are motorcycles electric only?
And I still think you failed to mention the auto form 2 seat roasters of the third generation F body from 83 to 86 they made around 1000 to 1100 of them and they were GM approved because the dealer had to send them a brand new car to get the conversion but it was a $6000 options on a $14,000 car❤❤
My father had a type LT Camero. I'm not sure of the exact year but it was a special package and was powerful fast pretty quick. It was a sleeper model that put irocs to shame. It was a 4 bolt main 350 small block. It had the turbo 400 auto 4 speed tranny. Sway bars suspension package. Brake's Etc. it has the Corvette engine in it. I'm not sure if the rear end but it was a built special package and was a beautiful brown. No spoilers true sleeper model. It would spin the wheels without touching the brakes. Just give it a little too much accelerator pedal. It was quick and fast smooth and controlled. Air conditioning power brakes windows sound system it was nice not quite Cadillac but nice. Tilt wheel. Cruise control. But my father let me drive it as mine for about a year. He drove his Lincoln's caddy's BMW's and Mercedes car's he owned a lot of car's plenty of muscle car's I basically got to drive about any car you can imagine. He owned maybe 50 car's at a time sometimes All his. That Camero I think was some special addiction or something. It could beat a lot of other cameros. He definitely had faster car's but yes that was a beautiful very nice Camaro. Type LT
What about the Black/Gold Panther Camaros? Could only be had with 327’s or 427’s…..I saw an article about those a few years back…..I think those were from a Canadian dealer along the lines of Gibbs, Yenko and Motion
hillbillymark here from ontario canada- you could look at the first of Gorries CHEV Toronto Canada BLACK PANTHER Camaro 1967-68 427-435hp built in 1966 for the owners son of the famous MOSPORT RACE TRACK. built ahead of Yenko and Baldwin motion
6:37 dude, you seriously should do your audio in that garage. Sounds 100% better. Back to regular video it sounds like you're talking through a tube. 11:23 i saw one of these running around my small town one summer. Poof. Gone. Wonder if the guy wrecked it or put it in storage.
Then you are missing out, because the 5th generation, TR6060 6-speed ZL1 is an excellent track weapon to put even a Porsche GT2 RS in his place on the race track, and I quote an exasperated GT2 RS owner after a few rounds on the track: "but I'm 450 kg lighter!" "Good for you."
@@my1vice sure, but this ain't about cool, it's about putting mechanically disinclined idiots and metrosexuals with Ferraris, McLarens, Porsches and all that automatic transmission garbage in their place on the race track.
Without knowing it i owned a 67 built RS/SS 302 4 speed disc brake 12 bolt in Quebec city Canada. It was red but the factory color was yellow with a black top and interior. When i bought it for 200.00 around 1972 it had no engine or transmission or front seats in it and i put a Vette 396 4 speed in it to make due. Sold it to get married and guess which one i miss more? Back then they were just old cars. i believe it is still alive in Quebec but the owner has no idea what it really is?
I put a hot 350 in a monza it tore the front Half of the monza apart ,a big block or a small block won't live long in a Vega or a monza ,there built like a ford lol
@ yeah the cars weren’t finished by them it was by GM is my point. Kinda like the difference between 67-68 yenko we’re done by him but in 69 they were done by GM after they made a deal.
Half the cars in the video were upgraded by companies other than GM. I forgot SLP (30th anniversary car). Callaway is no different than those in the video.
Almost bought a black 02 SS back in 05 but the huge shelf dash, engine under cowl goofy floor and front of door placement turned me off completely. Great driving cars, but not my cup of tea
I am by no means an expert when it comes to cars, but I know enough to get on someone's nerves for a while. But I didn't know they ever made an SS model for the 2nd Gen Camaro. I thought they only offered the Z/28 for a performance model. I always enjoy adding new information to the library of useless facts, taking up space in my brain.
Nope, the Motion cars put a different front end on the Vette that made it look like an Opel. Poor choice in my opinion, but that's one of the changes that Motion did as a package.
Some were just cars Modified by the dealers, I could have done the same in my backyard doesn't make them special, maybe unique but not worth anything, anybody can make cars like that if they were made by the factory itself then they would be special and unique anybody can make a car like that.
first thing a LS 7 is a 427 and it came out in 1970 and LS never built a bbc it was built by GM racing division as a small block in 1970 the 454 bbc was a ho 454 which is also in a 71 and 72 they only put a ls 6 in a 1970 chevelle at 212 and 6 with the ls 7 427 both were small blocks chevy never built a ls engine even to date they came from gm racing division they do make them a optional engine or stock today started in the vett in 94 and in 96 in other rigs . this is all on the LS website. i own a 67 ss rs 427 yenko plus a few other years. after 1970 chevelle the only way u could get a ls engine was as a crate engine. i have 3 bbc 454 modeled after the 70 chevelle ss ho 454 450 hp at 485 torque the ls 6 454 came out with 485 hp with 525 torque. this is all on the ls website which u can buy a new ls 6 454 modeled after the 70 chevelle ls 6 then only thing they did to a ls block was upgraded the block with sensor ports in 1984
I worked at freight company and we had one guy that had a 7442 hardtop and another guy that bought a 01 the new Camaro and parked by each other out in the parking lot and you would think the the Cutlass or 442 would be a little bit 01 convertible it looks smaller and you can only get four people and that's what two small people in the back of that Camaro Chevy really screwed up by not making a lightweight long nose short trunk car and putting that LS motor in
Other than the first gens and the one off's I'll stick to the one I had over anything beyond second gen. 77 unbadged with a 68 327 jeep motor (327 375 hp stock) that had a different cam intake and carb. Pushing a Borg Warner t 10 4 speed. Was soooo fun in the 90's eating them 5.0 wusstangs all the gurlies had whos boy friends "thought" they could drive like M&M's in a movie theater. They would top out in rpm and I would drop from 4th to 3rd and leave them in a haze of smoke punching their steering wheel and screaming..
Uh, you do know that the Camaro was discontinued back around 2002, right? While the Mustang badge has never been out of production, now at over 60 years. I hear hooves in the distance, coming our way.
Hey guys, I gotta question…. I’m 18 and new to history or newly found the love of the history cars. I used to go to the Top Fuel drag races with my grandfather. I asked my grandpa about this but he gave me an explanation I don’t think I can repeat.... Why do people throughout history give J€w$ a hard time? And do they deserve it?

From a roll it would beat any car that ran low 12’s in a 1/4 mile .
Put a smile on my face every time I would shift those gears . 😅😅
You missed out on the 272 L - 89 aluminum head , SS 396 / 375 Camaros built in 1968 .
Available in 69 as well
@donnysmith946 yep , but they didn't make as many '68s ,, hence they fall under the heading of the rarest Camaros . The '69s aren't as rare .
of all my muscle cars i miss most, is my 87 IROC. not as fast as my old 02 SS by a long shot, but the s3xy styling can't be denied! bought one new back then in dark red metallic, with the gold trimmed wheels. had some good times in that old IROC. went to many a rock concerts in that car. spent endless summers at the lake with it. everyone wanted to ride in it.. just nothing but great memories. and funny enough, the Silkwood kids lived right up the street from me where i used to live in S OK. they had just got their settlement from the Kerr McGee thing, and the son got a new Grand National, and his sister got a Trans Am. so we were kind of the bad boys on the block, or street! lolz.. the 80s were great, but wouldn't of been the same without those specific muscle cars! ☮
Local Chevy dealer back then made the news and Paper
Every single IROC had its wheels stolen overnight....many were stolen off lots back then.
Barra was also one of the Fiero engineers.
I had a boss, named Dave, who owned a burgandy IROC Z. Great guy. He would only pull it out on nice days. I don't know how rare the last gen LT1 Camaros are, but I'd love to own one of those❤
Last yr Lt1 camaros arent really rare just tough to find a stock one thats not hammered.
Can confirm have the 302mo block engine as well as the 302dz block engine with the winters crossram intake. Rockin little engines.
Imagine how the cars of the 70's and 80's would have been if there had never been the oil crisis of the early 70's
I have a 87 IROCZ convertible black with gold trim but my first Camaro was a 69 pace car and I was hooked on Camaros
I've had about 10 Camaros since I loved them all
Thank you. Nice presentation 🏆
I remember those. 69, and 70 Yenko's. Used to see 'em on 8mile all the time.
Awesome video! Thank you so much for putting it together!!!
I've always liked Camaros, but I dig the Firebird styling more. I had a 74 and a 67. I'd love to have the 74 Firebird back!
Buy one!
I enjoy my 67 400 'vert.
@@TheHsan22 My next car will be a wagon, most likely a Dodge Magnum, I need room to carry my drum kit.
Great vid. Thanks!
My Camaro ownership:

My 5th and current Camaro also a 2010 RS 2LT, love(d) them all!
Thank u. Great vid. I have a 72 chevelle with L S 1 on nos. With a 5 speed. I love it. Chevy is amazing
Excellent video!! So many videos in this format, which look like this one, are full of crap, but this one is not!👍
My friend has an '81 Yenko TurboZ, a silver Stage One.
GM.. put that Chambers exhaust.. on all GM's.. but you had to order it.. then they discontinued it... Too much publicity
Most people have heard of all of these.
you forget the fact i live near woodward and we have a dreamcruise. so i have
but i appreciate your stories
Of course I like the video
I feel more videos should mention the switch from gross to net horsepower in 1972. Yes, of course power dropped in the 70's, but it was not as drastic as it looked on paper.
Cool video. I knew about them all though
You should do your research before you make yourself look like a total fool.
Oh and all engines are balanced and blueprinted if they were not balanced they wouldn’t run and blueprinting just means someone wrote it down😂
@@Thumper68Yeah, I was gonna say almost none of that is true, haha! Glad to see someone beat me to it.
The strike has nothing to do with the Camaro coming out late it was tooling issues with the quarter panels on the new design all other 1970 Chevrolets came out as normal in fall of 69
Nice Video, You forget about 3rd gen Magnum Camaro build by Mecham
I know of a first Generation Camaro that is a one of one. It's the one and only 1st Gen Z/28 convertible
The Camaro production really ended in 73 everything after that was power challenged.😮
3:37 wait what?? Thats strats. I know that place. They host car meets all the time
Rarest Cameron z-28 1967 z-28 conv made fora GM executive dark green one of one ! Raymond
It was a 1968 Z28 and it was built for Pete Estes
No.. it was a 68
Here's a cool story: I had a '72 RS/SS 350 4-speed Camaro.
If you watch the video of the guy driving the 69 ZL1… he blows right thru a stop sign lol!
I think the 1969 Z-10 should have been on this list as there were only 400-500 produced
Traco 350 IROC Camaro were petty fast and cool in the first IROC series 1974
I tried to buy a 1LE 89 IROC. I talked to John Heinricy at GM on numerous occasions. No dice. I wasn't a sanctioned racer. He wouldn't let me order one. The good old days when you could actually call GM on the phone and talk to the people making these cars.
A motor is *electric*. An *engine* is mechanical. Engine. Engine. Engine.
your point is meaningless, motor, engine same difference
Yes !! I agree, and you ride a motorcycle not drive one.
So General *Motors* is in the business of electric motors?
Ford Motor Company?
A motor mount is only for electric motors?
A motocross is only for electric motorcycles?
Are motorcycles electric only?
Seriously who gives a shit
No... An engine is internal combustion

Awesome job on the video, btw.

I only knew about three of these because of being featured in the gran Turismo series of games.
i had a beat to shit 1973 LT (fake SS). God I miss that car.

2012 45th anniversary with a Callaway SC572 package. Only 5 anniversary cars were built.
He’s talking built by GM.
@Thumper68 Baldwin, GMMG, were/are tuners.
Yenko also...
I gotta be honest, Camaros are cool, but the 4th gen have been growing on me, when I used to disregard them...
Almost bought a black 02 SS back in 05 but the huge shelf dash, engine under cowl goofy floor and front of door placement turned me off completely.
Great driving cars, but not my cup of tea
The top 4 guys in chevys is cool but ? Dana Camaro 427 4spd all aluminum no heater or radio 488 gear .?
I am by no means an expert when it comes to cars, but I know enough to get on someone's nerves for a while. But I didn't know they ever made an SS model for the 2nd Gen Camaro. I thought they only offered the Z/28 for a performance model. I always enjoy adding new information to the library of useless facts, taking up space in my brain.
1:06 , that’s a Opel. Not a Corvette.
Nope, the Motion cars put a different front end on the Vette that made it look like an Opel. Poor choice in my opinion, but that's one of the changes that Motion did as a package.
That is a Vette, the headlights were one of the signature additions that Balwin Motion did, like the stripes and sidepipes
Umm... No. It was a Corvette.
I thought the same, but yeah with a good look it's a bastardised Corvette.

The Camaro was released in September 1966, for the 1967 model year.
Some were just cars Modified by the dealers, I could have done the same in my backyard doesn't make them special, maybe unique but not worth anything, anybody can make cars like that if they were made by the factory itself then they would be special and unique anybody can make a car like that.
The first story was B.S. a 1970 454 swapped into a 69 Camaro big deal.
You forgot the Macho Z! 1 prototype built in 78, 7 produced in 79.

first thing a LS 7 is a 427 and it came out in 1970 and LS never built a bbc it was built by GM racing division as a small block in 1970 the 454 bbc was a ho 454 which is also in a 71 and 72 they only put a ls 6 in a 1970 chevelle at 212 and 6 with the ls 7 427 both were small blocks chevy never built a ls engine even to date they came from gm racing division they do make them a optional engine or stock today started in the vett in 94 and in 96 in other rigs . this is all on the LS website. i own a 67 ss rs 427 yenko plus a few other years. after 1970 chevelle the only way u could get a ls engine was as a crate engine. i have 3 bbc 454 modeled after the 70 chevelle ss ho 454 450 hp at 485 torque the ls 6 454 came out with 485 hp with 525 torque. this is all on the ls website which u can buy a new ls 6 454 modeled after the 70 chevelle ls 6 then only thing they did to a ls block was upgraded the block with sensor ports in 1984
I worked at freight company and we had one guy that had a 7442 hardtop and another guy that bought a 01 the new Camaro and parked by each other out in the parking lot and you would think the the Cutlass or 442 would be a little bit 01 convertible it looks smaller and you can only get four people and that's what two small people in the back of that Camaro Chevy really screwed up by not making a lightweight long nose short trunk car and putting that LS motor in
Get it right. There was no LS engines until either 1998 or 99. Back before the LS, they had LT engines
You missed the 5th generation COPO Camaro.
Other than the first gens and the one off's I'll stick to the one I had over anything beyond second gen. 77 unbadged with a 68 327 jeep motor (327 375 hp stock) that had a different cam intake and carb.
