Can I make a better bug catcher than this $9 one?

I often say "I could make that." But can I? Can I make a better bug catcher enclosure than this one my wife bought?
I paused my 3d prints partway through and stretched a thin mesh over the top, then resumed the print on top. When the print is done, the mesh is embedded in the middle. Pretty cool.
