Not a whole lot of new cards in the set that I'm excited about, but there are definitely some really cool cards here. I just hope they keep this token style in sets going forward, it's pretty cool. Now I just need some spirits in this style

I do like these new tokens. Actually slipped my mind they changed them until I saw one last night at Prerelease. Limited seemed slow and grindy but it was fun for a Core Set and I'm glad they changed the rules on when it can start. 8pm>12am
That's currently the most expensive card in Core Set 2020. Usually the best time to sell is soon after set release, since the card supply increases as people open boxes. Except when cards get popular in tournaments and the price can go up higher!
No, usually when sets leave Standard, the prices crash heavily. Only particular cards that remain popular in Modern or Commander formats retain or increase in value.
Local stores will normally only give you 50% of the value, or a little more if you trade for store credit. If you want closer to full value, you'd have to sell online on TCG Player or eBay.

Yes, these still have a decent amount of value and good cards. I think they may even be better than Throne of Eldraine in many respects.

Here in the US the stores are allowed to sell boxes on prerelease weekend, but after that, not until July 12.
