You won't regret it! My love for Sarah and her music spans almost 2 decades and there is so much beauty, sadness, hope, love, and connection in her body of work.
There should be more comments here. Sarah is well respected but I think she deserves to be more widely recognized for her interesting melodies and song structures. She's closer to pop than Joni but she's on the Joni side of pop to me. I can recognize her melodies and they're unpredictable but make total sense and are very catchy. Some songs have a lot of detail and take you to a specific place, others use metaphor to describe, like this one, a person you're on friendly terms with but have to keep your distance from after getting too close. Like Joni Sarah is a big activist especially where the environment and native peoples are concerned. Sarah I always think your concerts are like singing around a summer night campfire. I'd love to one day harmonize with you on the chorus of Lodestar around a campfire. Thanks for closing your Massey Hall set with that one! Much love to you, see you next time!
