This is amazing! What you see in a set of dies is beyond what I could ever imagine. But you have inspired me to try to imagine. I hope, with repetition, the options become more 'see-able'. Loved this video.
Thanks so much - I think our biggest challenge is to play without requiring ourselves to make a perfect card. In this set there are cards I love and some I wouldn't make again. It's definitely a process! Thanks for watching!
What a brilliant idea to cut out all the dies of a big set and play with them to get acquainted with the shapes. I have a lot of big die sets I've never used but now will dare to give them a try thanks to your tips. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. I have the same die set and also haven't used it, for exactly the same reason! I was just overwhelmed. I love how you break things down into manageable bits. Your cards are gorgeous!
Same here! Thanks, Ardyth, for the inspiration and reminding me to break out this die set and create. I just had to have it when I first saw it released but have been intimidated ever since. Love your creations and excellent videos!
I love your videos. Yours are about the only card-making ones I watch anymore. Short, sweet, to the point - and oh so creative! Love how you put ahapes together
Hi Ardyth. Wow how creative you were with these dies. It can be quite overwhelming when you are faced with a large die set with so many dies. I loved how you showed us that you can just ease into it by only using a few dies at a time. That snowflake card was truly inspired how you used the snowflake die to line everything up. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Thank you for featuring this die set, as I own it. Yes, I saw the gnome also! So fun that somebody else recognized it! When I first got the set, I opened it up and spilled all of the cutting dies onto my glass mat, and moved them around and played with it. My problem is coming up with a design I want to use on a bunch of cards so that I know which pieces to start cutting and assembling. Thank you for the helpful tips!❤
So beautiful. These are die sets I wouldn't have considered buying before, They're just not my style. But seeing how you worked outside the box opens my eyes to knew possibilities. With your Joy to the World card, I LOVE the red touches. It makes it look so much more striking.
This is such a great video, full of some really great tips. I loved what you did with the snowflake card and the Christmas present card. I had just thought to myself, those trees will look like they're sharing a star, when you mentioned it. I didn't see the present/gift until you said it. I really enjoyed seeing how you tackle dies sets like this one. I'm going to write down all of the steps to refer to anytime I get a new die set. Thank you so much for all you do, you're one of my favorite crafty channels.
THANK YOU, ARDYTH! Not only have you made elegantly beautiful modern Christmas cards, they contain no pink and I can confidently send them out to my male relatives. I used to like the color pink, but have developed an aversion due to every holiday & season now having pink as a predominate color. At least the youtube cardmakers make it appear that way. I used to look forward to the changes in color palette with the seasons. This year I literally cringed when pink appeared for Autumn & Halloween. It appears no holiday or season is safe anymore. Note to the industry - while it may be fun to send a pink Christmas card to a widowed grandmother, the people viewing these videos need cardmaking ideas that appeal to everyone.
LOL! I love pink! But I get what you're saying. Thankfully so many ideas will work with different colour schemes, so hopefully there's still something to take away, even when you don't love the colour choices. Thanks so much for watching!
You are an amazing artist! I love the idea to take a large die set and start by using a bit at a time to get those creative juices going. Now I won’t be so afraid to buy this large Tim Holtz dies or any other large set dies! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas with us!
I am so grateful to you for this video! I have this die set, and was definitely paralyzed from using it due to the number of dies. Thank you so much for your ideas and walk-throughs.
I have this die set and was so excited to use it, but guess what, I was overwhelmed by it, just like you said. Clearly you’re far more creative than I am as you’ve given me so many ideas. Thank you Ardyth.
I loved watching you play with this set! Really opens up the possibilities with it. I may have to add it to my wishlist but I also need to do this with sets I already have. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh my, Ardyth, the snowflake?! You outdid yourself there! I love the idea of starting with the backgrounds and their arrangements. Hope I get time to play this weekend. Thank you so much for the inspiration! Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
I have that exact die set, and you are right, I haven't used it because it looked overwhelming and time consuming. But pulling out just some of the dies, what a great idea! I'll for sure try that!

@@ardyth I definitely will; thank you! I agree: Tim has a LOT of dies in his collections. They're great but yes, sometimes overwhelming. So appreciate you 'narrowing the focus' for us, so to speak. Sending hugs! ~c

I noticed you're using Concord & 9th ink pads. I'm curious how you would compare them with the Catherine Pooler inks that you often use? I have quite a lot of the CP inks but am curious about Concord & 9th and/or Pinkfresh ink pads.
I chose C9 because they are foam and their formulation is similar to CP. I am just expanding my colour choice (Dragonfruit was my first C9 ink). Hope that helps!
Brilliant
Thank y ou!
