If I bought a Tesla on AliExpress, this is what would be delivered.
Yes it is as big as an e-tron but it is very cramped inside (Bjorn doesn't recommend it for ppl over 1.75m) , while the smaller ID3 is massive inside by comparison. The software seems Tesla like *on the surface *, but is an unresponsive rip off with lots of bugs and annoyances like the sounds and trip meter that does not go beyond 999 km. :') And on top of all that, it has slow Chademo charging.
So unfortunate that CCS isn't possible, very hard to recommend anyone to buy this.
I drive an Ioniq facelift, so I love the charging speed of the G3, 50KW up to 80% looks fantestic to me ;)

@@chunkychuck in summer i get 45kw till about 44% and then it drops... First to 35kw, then to 25kw and then to 15kw
Charging over 70% gets painful.... And this in Summer 🤣
Beside the charging the Ioniq is awesome and in some points better then a Tesla. 😁
@@Fesslmonster my 27kwh Soul is probably the same way, but I've only fast charged it once, before my home charger arrived. I love it though! I hated using fossil fuels before
There is actually a third 200A CHAdeMO station in southern Norway (Bergen, Danmarksplass) from BKK. Additionally all HPC chargers in Finnmark have 200A CHAdeMO.
As the owner of G3 in China.. I would say the software for Europe version is the only begining and it will get improving day by day...

I really love the interior, but yes the sounds needs to be changed and it needs CCS. Software always develop fast and gets upgraded frequently.

Better interior than tesla
i can confirm, after i visited the tesla showroom beside i decided to buy the P 7 here in shanghai. I was shocked about the Tesla interior quality and material choice. Back to the 80’s. P7 is a helluva car and over the long time i will figure out if the car is really durable.
What also is nice about KEMPOWER is that the charger has a screen with charging curve for the whole charging session ! Maybe KEMPOWER also proves that a good charger can give you better and more consistent charging speed up to a higher % before throttle ?
Great test, thanks! 🙏 Personally, would only get something with CCS here in Europe in 2020, unless the car is dirt cheap and only going to be used for city driving.

they should have installed a type 2 plug and provide a ccs combo adapter like tesla provides as upgrade for non ccs cars

As long as this car doesn't have panel gaps, it isn't a Tesla ripoff
It's within specification, the panal gaps are a safety feature, you can use them as an emergency escape
@M HADI it's a symptom of bad build quality, same reason people get their teslas with uneven paint or weird rattles. And build quality is a major factor for most people when buying a premium vehicle, hence why people buy Rolls-Royces

Thank you Björn for showing that XPeng G3 and Chademo doing quite well on 1000km. If G3 can take 200A, the trip would be 12:00 instead of 13:50.

is it known whether the p7 models in europe (germany) have ccs? there are almost no chademos in germany.

Hopefully they'll let you change the wake word or disable it in a future software release.
simply replace "EXpect" with "assume" to keep the voicecontrol from reacting ;))
If I had a lot of money, I would install many 50 kW Chademo chargers, because that's where the money is. My experience is that Leaf (and Golf) is the car that charges most often in Norway. And there is lots of Soul with Chademo, Lexus UX300e comes with Chademo and X-Peng. And I would make a lot of money from it :-).

@@asaha7547 Indeed, a charging curve with CATL battery in a Model 3SR would be a stunner that early. Long range Models do not have the CATL battery, just to clarify.

Those chargers at Espa look really nice ... another cool feature is that if you tap the battery in the centre of the screen you get a charging graph for your session ... I know you have it in the car, but not all cars show this type of graph if I'm not mistaken. :) I saw this in Kris Rifa's video were he does the recent iPace range test ... ua-cam.com/video/KHAPo5O0BwQ/v-deo.html minute 7:16 ... anyway, something to highlight for viewers in the future just in case they don't know ... I persoanlly love that kind of info and wish all cars had the option to show it.

Chademo plug makes it just as future proof as buying a fossil car. Even though the number of chademo chargers are ok,the CCS is the way of the future..Even seen chademo charge stalls replaced by CCS during last year. The car would sell alot more with CCS plug

After seeing what the Xpeng looks like and based on Bjorn´s Videos. As well as other Norwegian Media reviewing the Xpeng G3 it strikes as an really good EV for the Price and the Range of the car. But ofcourse the only thing which which pulls down the car from be an excellent is the CHAdeMo Charing port. it such a missed opportunity for Xpeng in Norway and general Europe when the G3 will be launched in other countries in Europe.
The 50kw chademo is a great limitation. They should have install at least a 80/100kw chademo (ever better use the CSS). Is true that majority of chademo charger has 50kw as maximum, but that there are also charger, like the Hypercharger, that support 100kw chademo.
The problem is that >50 kW CHAdeMOs are very rare in Norway. We only have two locations with 200 A plugs (Lillesand and Dombås).
@@bjornnyland oh understood. Instead here in Italy the few fast charger (I mean 100 or + kW) outside the Ionity network, have all also chademo. But considered that they are no more than 10 .
Instead speaking of the Ionity network always in Italy, at Ionity Andora they also put a charger with the chademo. So maybe in the future Ionity will do that also in other locations

This car would be nice in Thailand, no tax since its chinese and the fast charging network isnt welll built out yet so the chademo shortcomings aint that big of a deal.
It beat the Leaf 62 kWh, but you forgot to mention the 37 degrees (!) temperature difference compared to when the Leaf was tested. But I am sure that would not affect the result in any way. The Leafs usually don't struggle in high temperatures, right? I like Tesla Bjørn, but these are not very scientific or useful comparisons unless the testing enviroments are more similar.
You should watch those Leaf 1000 km challenge videos to understand more. And if you paid attention, you will see that I tested Leaf twice. It turns out that Leaf was performing better when cold outside because it then overheats less.

why doesnt it have CCS plug? If they had to change it for europe...why using that horrible chademo considering we are in 2021 basically?
I explain this quite well in a later video. Short explanation:
- GB/T that they use in Chinese G3 has very similar size and protocol
- G3 has been existing in China for a while now
- CCS plug is too large and won't fit the charge port
- Redesign of charge port results in redesign of chassis which would trigger new type approval. And that's way too time consuming and expensive. Better wait for refreshed G3.

I always believed that in Norway there are Chademos more powerful than 50 kW.
We have in two locations: e-on at Lillesand and e-on at Dombås. Both sites has 200 A cables which can usually output 70-80 kW.
