When I got to this fight I was like oh damn, master hand and a bunch of enemies? This is gonna be a tough fight, then I saw my character wasn't there, then the red background of master hands portrait, then I started to move and was like "OH. OH OK."
The reason why we can't beat Master Hand. He legit holds back. After a move, he tends to just sit there, and observe. It's like he wants to see us win, because he knows he can completely destroy us. If he fought like this, truly, we would never win.
In addition to that, let me point out that Master Hand is implied to STILL be at less-than-full power by this point, since his Master Core form was removed by Galeem (being an equippable Spirit and all). And he's not even getting backup from Crazy Hand, who (being Master Hand's equal and opposite number) is presumably just as powerful when he really cuts loose. And *that's* not even considering their combination attacks. Or the possibility that Crazy Hand ALSO has a "Core" form (which was probably taken from him in the same way Master Hand lost Master Core after Galeem did his thing, but still). Yeah, we should all be *V E R Y* glad the Hands don't go all out in their boss fights throughout the series. It'd take the entire assembled roster to make it even SLIGHTLY fair.

God I wish I could replay this part over and over again. It was just an astounding fight, but I don't have time to put another 20+ hours into a new save file.

I doubt it since possibly plans of Master Hand being playable was scrapped during development with no time to removing the data and ended up unintentionally became a glitchy cheat code

In melee, if you put your controller in slot three and held a and b on the section where your name is and then quickly release the b button you will be taken to the stage select screen. Choose the stage and you’re master hand (you’re unable to control him though).

The only stage in Smash history where you can legitimately play as Master Hand….and legit be the hell out of 50 fighters from the initial roster. Fucking amazing.
I mean the situation in World of Light had gotten so dire at that point that as soon as Master Hand was broken free of Galeem’s control, he realized he couldn’t hold back his true power anymore now that the Smash multiverse that HE created was being threatened of total annihilation by two “gods” fighting for control of HIS creations. At that point he basically said “Screw the BOTH of you, this world is for ME to control and NO ONE ELSE!” when choosing to ally himself with the Super Smash Brothers fighters. Let’s thank god Master and Crazy Hand (to an extent) that they don’t fight like how when we take control of Master Hand in Classic Mode as a boss.
Im simple, I see playable Master Hand I click very fast, finally after all those years of Smash he’s finally playable (well only at this point in World Of Light and it seems nowhere else, but still), this is AWESOME and FUNNY AF! You what I think? Master Hand first encountered Galeem and tried to fight him, but he failed, got captured, brainwashed, and cloned. So when Master Hand was free, he wanted to get revenge on Galeem for doing this, at least that’s what I think.

If none of you understand the storyline, basically Galeem and Dharkon captured Master Hand and Crazy Hand and brainwashed them into their servants. Dharkon wishes to banish the universe back into eternal darkness while Galeem seeks to engulf it in light. Using the hands, the two celestial entities created an army of clones.

When I first got to this part, it took me a second to realize I was playing as MASTER HAND. Needless to say, this was probably one of the best moments of any game I’ve ever played!
I've played this already and my thoughts on it are as follows: It's a great plot twist to anyone who is brave enough to go the true ending route that has you ultimately fight both Galeem and Dharkon at the same time. but as to how infuriating said true boss fight can be and what kind of ending sequence that follows said fight I'll leave that for everyone who hasn't made it that far to find out for themselves. also I picture the reason Master Hand isn't at least playable in classic mode as well is not only because of his size but as this fight shows he's way too OP to have a hard time against any of the roster fighters.
Now that's one of many dedications to the Smash Bros Fanbase! Take a popular glitch and make that glitch happen again without it actually being a glitch!
This fight is pure catharsis. I just 100%ed World of Light, and the first thing I want to do is go back and NG+ just so I can get to this point again so that I can have this fight ready on a save file to play anytime.

I spoiled myself from the leaks before the game launched, but this still got me hyped when i got to this part. Felt great to officially play as Master Hand after all these years without glitches!
It was very fun playing as him in the story mode, but I do agree with the other comments that you should be more mindful about spoilers, not everyone is going to get to beat the game so early on after its release.
I know this video is 3 years old, but I'm still upset that this was only in one part of the game that's difficult to re-access. I really think that after completing this stage, master hand should have be an unlockable character for Multiman Smash mode or at least have his own mode in general where you take out waves of enemies and get a high score before time runs out

I've played this already and my thoughts on it are as follows: It's a great plot twist to anyone who is brave enough to go the true ending route that has you ultimately fight both Galeem and Dharkon at the same time. but as to how infuriating said true boss fight can be and what kind of ending sequence that follows said fight I'll leave that for everyone who hasn't made it that far to find out for themselves. also I picture the reason Master Hand isn't at least playable in classic mode as well is not only because of his size but as this fight shows he's way too OP to have a hard time against any of the roster fighters.

I know this video is 3 years old, but I'm still upset that this was only in one part of the game that's difficult to re-access. I really think that after completing this stage, master hand should have be an unlockable character for Multiman Smash mode or at least have his own mode in general where you take out waves of enemies and get a high score before time runs out
