Both cars are an absolute credit to you Matt, they both look awesome! I must admit I was a bit worried when you fired up the mini and the engine sounded like a bag of nails!!🤔😦🤔🧐 but was reassured when you said it was ok. 👏👏👍😅🤣😊 can’t wait for the next video!
We spotted you heading out of the services on the a303 today
I must say the mongrel looks even better in the metal
Lovely colour
The mini looks really neat. You have done a fantastic job.
@5:48
It's because that's a REAL door 👍👍
Excellent. Great build quality on the Mini.
You've done a amazing job on both of those cars.
Very cool, First class work Matt! Love the attention to detail, especially on the wiring.
Nice work. Stick with the sprout green on all your cars, it’s you signature now. 🖖
Dude that mini sounds soooo SWEET!!! Can’t wait to see it on the track
The old Mushy Pea Mongrel is a proper looker ...
Mini coming along great .
I'm in the Raffle, might grab some more tickets and up my chances ...
Keep up the good work ...
So clean. Great work
I totally get your comment regarding the drop gear chatter! I had a panic the first time I started mine, thought I had forgotten a big end bearing! 😂
I miss the clattering sound of the straight cut drop gears! And the sound of a single dcoe on a 5 port 'head! Brings back many happy memories of my late teens/early 20s!! Absolutely love it, Matt. Top job as per usual!! I'm putting off the wiring on the Viva as it scares the crap out of me 😂 Cheers. Leigh.
Great progress Urch, Keep it up mate, soldier on!
I reckon I could be a UA-camr if I wanted, I spend hours in the garage talking to myself.
So do I but even I don’t understand what I’m prattling on about 😅
The characteristic sound of a hot A series with a Weber. It sounds great, almost street legal 😄
What a nice and clean job
It sounds lovely, and it looks beautiful. I want this car!!!!
amazing craftmanship
Brilliant video Matt! The exhaust sounds wicked 🙌🙌🙌🙌
That Mini is CLEAN!
Well done mate, mini sounds great
Could be a backfeed from the alternator .
Really love to see a breakdown on your electrical system and why you went with those parts.
Both cars looking fab
Sir, you have come a long way, since the Miata conversion. Remember when the plasma table came in, changed your shop immediately. This little racer looks great as well.
That mini looks the dogs danglies Matt 😎😎😎
Both cars are cool.....but I'm a life long Mini fan. Fantastic video!
Awesome 👍🏽 great to see both car's and you getting to race them , yes it's hard on UA-cam as well as another person I follow dosn't have the follower's he needs to do it full time so has to do other things now to get by and do small UA-cam channel, and there's so many fake chanles calming that they make alot of money or some lie as to what happened to them so annoying so I don't look at those or just go straight to the comment's to see , anyway keep going love seeing your projects plus the online welding course is a great idea 👍🏽
looking forward to track day!!!!!👍
Amazing work again! Really cool!
looks spot on mate, Top work...
Top work Matt..
This mini is going to be an absolute weapon 😊
Nice to see you again brother, both cars looking good 👍👌 you hang in there, times are really tight now, money is not flowing.... LAG
Yeaay akhirnya 🎉
Getting it won and done faster than project binky 😏👌
You might want to consider using a Cartek XR instead of the mechanical FIA isolator switch. It isolates the ground instead of the 12V and is generally a safer way to kill the electrics. If you run an ECU then it can have a kill wire directly to that and it will kill the power to the ECU a fraction before the rest, which can also save the ECU
very nice work, well done :)
Here in the states we say knock on wood
You can always find a piece of wood directly above and behind your eye-glasses .
Been watching the ford project since it's inception. How in TF did I miss the mini?! Guess I have things to watch ... BRB. Oh. Old shop. Wild.
I was concerned aswell but thought it must be gearbox noise when clutch hydraulics are fitted all the noise should go regarding runs when isolayer switched of try pulling alternator plug see if that kills engine, lovely tidy job through out as usual.
Still following you're channel. have done from the first video, keep em coming Matt.
I can't help wondering about all the rattling noise from the engine area?
Can I suggest you consider the flywheel and clutch setup might need checking.
I've never heard a Mini even with straight cut gears as loud as that.
Just my 2c worth.
have a great day on the track.
Sweet as always...;D
If an engine is right, the noise of air going in is much better than the noice of gas going out.
Urchman, have you ever thought of installing a Honda K20 engine in the Cooper mini?🤔. That would kick ass!
You should put mk2 rear lights on it, look way better
Have you consodered making a shroud for the display screen to prevent any glare, could get annoying on a race day.
Clean 👌👌
Are you back feeding from alternator? I fitted isolator on battery and forgot the alternator would keep everything on.....took a while to work out how to cut power from alternator.
When you run a kill switch with an alternator you can put a diode in the 12v feed
Ah......that would be much easier than my inline power relay solution 😂😂
The resistor you can see behind the switch should drop the alternator output to ground when the switch is operated.
An Isolator switch normally switches the Neutral of the Battery so it cuts all the Power. That's how it used to be?
Think thats how it is on heavy equipment......got a feeling motorsport regs make you do live......also did not know about that resistor as one i bought did not have one.....always best to research these things as would have saved me lots of head scratching 😂😂
Tidy 👍🏼
Is it the alternator feeding ignition etc when isolator is off ? Maybe need to connect alternator output directly to battery so it is isolated fromm system at same time as battery.
Mini's looking and sounding great. Who do you use for suspension set up/ wheel alignment?
I'd join the raffle, but I don't think you wanna post something that heavy abroad?
Maybe do another one with that awesome welding helmet you are using?
👍💪
How many times have you twatted your shins on the pegs in the jack stand holes?
Tops
Did you ever get the bottom with the problem with the PDM being on all the time?
Yes mate, was an issue with the pdm ignition input not working.
Had to send it back for repair. Sorted now 👍
😊😊✌✌🌹🌹🤳🤳
What engine is in that Mini?
I got a handful of tickets. Hope for your sake I don't win. Postage to Australia post BREXIT will be a bitch!
why dont you hill climb it less chance of it geting recked
😮 Wow! Sounds exactly like my ride on lawnmower! 🤦🏻♂️
