I’m just beginning to see what God is teaching me through this season, (I’m a slow learner!) This came from listening to a speaker on Focus on the Family. He said the North American church has been under the illusion that the Church is a cruise ship. We let others teach our children, while we sit and listen to professionals read to us from the Word, because we are too comfortable on our lounge chairs to do it ourselves. We sit on our padded pews, listen to state of the art worship, fancy lights flashing, have awesome retreats, go from one awesome experience to another. We want to be blessed and often twist His arm because after all, He said, “ask, seek and knock and He will give it to you?“ But what exactly are we asking, seeking and knocking for? This speaker said something that stopped me in my tracks: The Church is not a cruise ship, IT IS A WAR SHIP! On a War ship, you train 24/7, you ration everything, you check your weapons, you assess the enemy’s strategy, you don’t stop until the battle is won (in our case it’s already won). Every soldier is at his post looking at radar, discerning the enemy’s movement. Waiting for the Generals orders (we already have ours) You get the picture. Those of us who miss the cruise ship, have received new orders, you are going back to a WAR SHIP. 1 Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses‘.

Because of advanced emphesemia I developed this shocking panic and anxiety disorder. During the last few months I dicovered you on you tube. Thankyou for being such a willing servant of our lord. Especially in those dark early hours of the morning when the onslaught of panic threaterns to overwhelm me, the Lord often, very often leds me straight to you to speak His words of calm to my racing heart. I bow my head in thanks to my lord and King that He has brought you forward speaking the calm words of our Lords wisdom. I don't want to praise you too much and steal your heavenly reward but I want to thankyou deeply as the Lord well chose you to serve. I love your gentle reasurring voice. Because of my advanced emphesemia the two very severe bouts of flu I got back to back that led to a far more limited ability to breath. Infection would build (as it still does to a lesser extent) and I could not very well. Just in light breaths until through a long process of physio trying to lossen the obstruction. I was basicly drowning many times a day. This still happens at least two or three a day and has triggered out of the blue these shocking panic attacks which send my blood pressure soaring into the two hundreds. I had no idea what was happening to me at first. Apparrently it is common for people with breathing difficulties. I have been shocked and yes I guess if anything felt like a demonic attack from hell this would fit the bill. It is my mind gone haywire flood my body with adrenaline. I know Satan would be loving this and I am totally dependent on Jesus. I would not have survived this far without Jesus and prayer. Thankyou so much for your response. I will meditate on whay you have said. There is wisdom there . Gods blessings Sherralee
When you have fear bind it in Jesus name because it is a spirit and you have authority in Christ command it leave. There is a good video on youtube, just type in Jesus the Healer E.W. Kenyon. It's an audio book and it will help you receive your healing. Listen to it every day and faith will rise up in you. I was reading my June 7 devotional when my phone lighted up and their was Max on a site which I had never seen before. He was talking about the Holy Spirit helping us in this time. In my hand was my Bible opened at John 16:4b-33. I was so blessed, I photographed it! God is so present, so marvelous! Thank you for letting God use you.
I avoid the news and focus on the things of the Spirit....it's so discouraging out there...The Lord gave me a dream about lions...seeking whom to devour....but I was in a shelter, looking out at them.....God Is Good! ❤

Thoughts: the opposite of change is stagnate. A synonym for change is transform. We often do not see change as positive, but when we trust that God is with us, we experience the inner change that is good even when the outward circumstances are bad.

My daughter is in the Navy and her ship, the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, comes in tomorrow after being at sea for over 200 days. They are coming back to a country that has been forced, because of covid 19, to make many changes. We have had time to get used to those changes but my daughter and her shipmates will be facing a culture shock as they reintegrate back to being home. Please pray for her and everyone on her ship that the changes they will be facing won't be so overwhelming.

You ate not alone. I have had a few mild panic attacks and sleep pattern all askew. Try to keep a regular routine as much as possible. I find doing puzzles, reading and coloring adult color books of flowers and other relaxing images helpful. A daily walk giving thanks to God for all the good things around me. Sending you my best feel better thoughts and prayers. One day at a time.

Our greatest source of comfort...our Comforter, The Holy Spirit...Who leads us into all truth.. Christ is Truth.

My daughter is in the Navy and her ship, the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, comes in tomorrow after being at sea for over 200 days. They are coming back to a country that has been forced, because of covid 19, to make many changes. We have had time to get used to those changes but my daughter and her shipmates will be facing a culture shock as they reintegrate back to being home. Please pray for her and everyone on her ship that the changes they will be facing won't be so overwhelming.
Holy Spirit, please speak clearly to me so I can hear You and help me to understand what You are saying. I'm trying to hear You, but I need Your help, calm my fears and heart and comfort me with Your peace, in Jesus name, Amen

You ate not alone. I have had a few mild panic attacks and sleep pattern all askew. Try to keep a regular routine as much as possible. I find doing puzzles, reading and coloring adult color books of flowers and other relaxing images helpful. A daily walk giving thanks to God for all the good things around me. Sending you my best feel better thoughts and prayers. One day at a time.
