@happydayhere as @6tdford has indicated it is part of the Blue Cruise system. The vehicle is watching you to make sure you are paying attention. The red lights are picked up by the camera, but when you are driving the vehicle, you will not see these lights with the naked eye.

Not commenting on the very annoying flashing red light on the BlueCruise display really ruined the entire presentation for me.
