The truck looks right at home on the sand. I need to find a location like that. I think those aluminum parts look absolutely epic but they're really not necessary to have fun with the truck. It is extremely durable right out of the box and changing plastic parts for aluminum tends to transfer loads to other parts causing them to fail. I have over 50 runs on mine since it arrive in February and the only critical parts failure I've had was the idler gear cluster in the transmission. I filed a warrantee claim with Horizon and they replaced the gear - no problem. I've been in the surface RC hobby since about 1979 and I still have 60 - 70 RCs, vintage and modern, and I think the SBR2 is the most fun I've had with any of them. I really appreciate how much it looks like the full scale truck running over the roughs and the jumps. Anyway, great video, thanks for taking time to post it! 👍

I just got the same truck delivered today! Got all the skookums rc upgrades on the way too (front/rear braces should be good). I can tell the bump stops are taking up quite a bit of suspension travel keeping the front chassis from touching...I may experiment with them out.
I liked the breakdown on doing the vitavon parts on the udr. They helped me when i was putting all my parts on! would be cool to have the sbr setup the same if you end up putting a bunch on it for reference. I could watch the front end, then when i did the center i could go to that video, and then the rear. Def helped me!
That's exactly the same stuff I eventually got all of to throw on my truck, and same, put the diff cup in the center, thickened up the oil, and eventually will add one to the rear axle as well, thinking about nearly locking up the rear (not sure though). That rear axle is amazing, I love those bearing retainers that hold the rear diff in place, it meshes well and runs so smoothly (pretty expensive, but worth it), and is much easier to get into.
No need to order new wheels. Just take the Vitavon wheels you already ordered, and have them covered in whatever color Cerakote you want. Same thing goes for the beadlock rings. However, yes you're not already familiar with applying & curing Cerakote, I highly suggest/recommend you have them professionally done. That's what I did to make my Baja Rey cage red...plus, it's a LOT more durable than paint, as well as anodizing.
Yes you need to use up all the shock thread on the front shocks, on the rear add 10 to 12mm of preload, yes I fitted a wheelbarrow of Vitavon alloy along with gears to beef it up, I added Gorilla tape inside the wheel arch's, I also added Vitavon alloy beadlock wheels all round so much fun more than my hugely upgraded UDR as it is more robust than the UDR. I strongly recommend you add one of the rear rollcage brace set ups, as there are three I know of that really do the job, I think it is just down to which you like. I am really surprised that LOSI let it go with the amount of flex it will eventually crack and break, so prevention is better than having to buy a new rear end then add the extra support, I do wonder whether LOSI will do an V3 to sort the very weak rear end or a fix like the aftermarket guys have brought to the maeket.
@@joeshow750 I have not as the wheels would rub more under the fenders and more likely to damage the shocks, using up all the pre-load thread raises the front enough to stop the chassis from slapping the ground too hard and also helps with steering and braking.
You know you have some seriously bit of kit when the steering knuckles are bigger than anchors, axles are the size of dumbells, the diff cover bigger than a kitchen pot...man I've seem UTVs smaller and flimsier than that beast... There's gonna be more (Vitavon) metal on that rig, than what those 80's air metal bands ever produced! Awsome!!!!!

"am I gonna send it? of course I am." love it, good stuff!
Loving the way it moves esp when you slo-mo to see the suspension . Deffo sort the floppy rear end 👍👌👍
Yes that was awesome 😎
It's gonna be real nice with the option parts ! , fun watching 👍
Awesome truck! The suspension works amazing! I am sure the vitavon stuff will make it shiney!
Thanks Exo!
Just watching that rear end cage bounce hurts......so happy I sold mine😎

That's my favourite RC car of all time! Wish I owned one!

Nice looking truck.
The size is amazing!!!😮😮😮

There should be a baja specific track for these that would be awesome
Can't wait for the (UDR) tear-down, extreame makeover with (Vitavon) parts, It's going to look good has ever! (B+)
Looks nice! A proper desert racer. The end is a bit too floppy though. Im sure you are going to do some amazing DIY to fix it. 😊👍🏼💪🏽

I can’t wait to see this build.

Have you tried removing the front bump stops on the shocks to allow the front end to bottom out?

That looks bad ass!!!
Wow amazing👍🏼
cant wait for your vitavon videos :)
I love the dust
Look likes real on rally dakar😍
I just LOVE it
I love mine! You've seen first hand the abuse I put on mine at the truck bash and uste!🤘🤘
When are we gonna see any drag racing? No prep?
Idk man. It’s just not really my thing. I had a Limitless one time.
After seeing the price here in Australia... think I'll wait for the new element release.
Bet you need a bunch of room to get that big thing going. Looks fun
Throw those SBR tires on the MAXX. I hear people like them but haven’t seen a video of it 😄
So that’s when sand fills the rear axle

Awsome!!!!!
LoL I put on Vitavon stuff last night.
Please go back to the sandlot and do slow motion shots with that and the udr.
Do you want to sell the gold wheels on a discount?
Hello, I'm a person who likes RC in Korea. Watch the video carefully and close your eyes.
looks like no diff fluid or shock oil 0
She was made for slow mo
Oh yeah for sure
Note most of us would rather hear wind rather music
Really? My music is horrible LoL.
@@ExocagedRC not to bad maybe it’s just me I really just like to hear the car good
