- So I was clearing through my balcony bike stash and realised that I have accumulated enough components to build up a full bike. However, because of the partial lockdown, all bike shops remained closed during this period. Seeing how everyone's on a productivity roll; baking, making, mending and creating during this stay-home period, I myself got inspired to mechanic the shit out of this myself. So after many hours of UA-cam tutorials, here's my first-ever attempt in building up a geared bicycle myself. Enjoy this ASMR-ish vibe (with beats) for all bike nerds our there.

What's the size of the chainring? Isn't there a minimum chainring size if one wants to use U-brakes?

I have a 20in wheel foldable. I want to to a 10 speed group set on the back. Would I need a short, medium, or long rear derailleur? Ty !!
Hey matthew. for fonding bikes i reccomend a medium. although long derailleurs will not have an issue unless you do sharp turns, where the clearence between the derailleur and the ground might be a little tight.

I have a Fnhon Freedom 3speed, however when i bring my bike to shops to install more gears, all shops said mine not compatible. I also recently changed my chainring and since i changed the chainring, i could only use the biggest gear and the chain will derail whenever i switch to any other gear. This problem has not been resolved and i hope to get an advise please
i have the same issue with my build as well. As the chain keeps dropping. This problem is more apparent with the square tapered BBs. I had to change 3 BBs by narrowing down the widths to find the best spacing. But those who are using litepro hollotech cranksets face lesser issues with this. i hope this helps!

A mixture, from shopee, from taobao, and even from UK.
alot of the components were spares. i bought the frame off a seller in singapore. some components are from taobao
Hi Ian, can be easily push around when folded?
not as easy as the brompton... but its definately rollable and pushable if you tilt it at an angle. Will get used to it if you do it often!
