I know the excitement you were feeling. I grew my first potatoes in a pot. Had a ball when I finally turned it over, the pot. Planted more in a sack like yours, to try.
I think they're the most fun plant to harvest!! I'm so glad I'm growing sweet potatoes so I can do it again! 🤣 Thank you so much for watching and sharing with us!!
Holy cannoli! This is Great! I was Wow-ing with you on the 3rd bag! I like the little guys for soups and stews. I am 100% new to container gardening. To be honest---this is a better haul than in the ground--at least to my experience. I'm too old for all that weeding, and I love how it is no-till. Cheers from Kansas!
Hi there and thank you! I love the little potatoes too lol. Happy to hear this might be better than in ground! I didn't want to give up anymore bed space for them so I think I'll always stick to containers!
I enjoyed this! Those Kennebec potatoes yielded really well, I’m glad I’m growing them this season! Don’t feel bad about the smaller Yukon Gold harvest, Yukon gold is not a high yielding variety. They have mostly been replaced commercially with higher yielding yellow fleshed varieties.
I LOVE your hat, omgosh! ❤❤❤ New sub here. 🥰 Your potato haul is awesome. I’m finally harvesting mine this weekend. Both my Adirondack red and blue flowered, so I’m surprised yours didn’t 🤔 But my Charlottes and dark red norlands didn’t flower. Love how excited you both were through this video. ❤
Aw thank you so much! I hope your harvest turns out great! Potatoes are so fun lol. Yeah I don't understand the flowering vs not flowering.. where are you located?
Flowers have zero to do with yields !! There are many reasons for different yields but flowers do not determine it ! Food, water, sun, soil, container, and even the size of the seed can all factor in the yields ! Actually the best size seed is 1/2 the size of a hens egg. Good luck next year !
We do in fact have a flock of 10, 1 rooster and 9 hens. Sometimes Runty (our rooster) crows when I'm filming one of the hens. I'm sorry to see this upset you so much! Thanks for watching! 💕
Kennebec have always produced well for me in both Washington state and now here in Michigan.
Seriously, the blue shirt and hat are giving me Smurf vibes! ❤😂❤ Made my day!
🤣🤣🤣

Thanks and welcome! 🥰
That's a great haul!! Good Job!!
Thank you!! 😊
Some commercially developed potato varieties rarely flower and Yukon Gold is one of them... most early or short season potatoes don't flower.
next time pick off the flowers as they open than you may find larger size potatos....goods luck

Ok !! Thanks for watching !
Interesting that the ones without flowers was smaller, odds are in flowers favor
