Kick and bass going in same time is usual thing in almost every other genre of music instead of trance. That is becouse trance is kinda "machine" music and its hard not to kill it with kick and bass. Realy brave and cool tehnique with kick and bass. Great video as usual

The basic shapes' one sounds more clicky I guess. And in my experiments using it does seem to help with sounding like everyone else, for better or worse. Actually in one of E-Clip's videos it was shown you can make it even more clicky by drawing your own shape in Serum where you set the grid horizontal axis size to 6, so when you draw with the downward slope thingy it doesn't fit all the way to the bottom. I don't understand why that would make it more clicky, but it does sound different at least. Maybe it adds some different harmonics to the sound.
@@stelthtenau The basic shapes one or the 6 step grid? I guess the basic shapes one having a lower fundamental than the default saw might make sense to me since it has one cycle instead of two in the span of the waveform. But did you mean the 6-step-grid one? I have no intuition about that.
