NYC Resident Reacts To 4.8 Magnitude Earthquake | Insider News
Typical American Exaggeration
I live in an area where it shakes every other day so this is nothing to us. So used to it, unfortunately.
😂
Damn thats so freak
@@Theweekndin Yes, you can laugh all you want but I'm in Baja California and we're also above the fault line here. Especially the people who live in Mexicali. Nothing new to us..
It's a bit unsettling for us. Not only because it's not common, but also because (1) our infrastructure is old and up to code to handle small tremors but not anything like the west coast, and events like this would of course make people start considering those things, and (2) because we're not familiar with earthquakes and we're the center of the US economy and near defense, in a moment like this, nefarious activity does the cross the mind in terms of terrorism. We haven't had a tremor this strong since the 1800's, so none of us have ever felt this magnitude. I did panic for a few seconds. We don't do quake drills so we don' know what to do.
@@quirky6334 I get it. But if you think your infrastructure is bad, imagine us in Mexico. And yet we're used to it and doesn't scare us as much. Again- The two Californias, the one in the U.S. and us over here in Baja California- are above the fault line, San Andreas it's called. We get them every other day but totally understand where you all in the east of your country are coming from. A 4.8 was pretty strong!
Damn you get a small quake and be like this is the end, while people around the world experience much more horrific quakes, floods and storms and be like " yeah, just another normal day".
If you get a genuinely huge one you will be feeling ones like this a couple times a year for like 20 years.
Girl do not listen to those laughing at us. I thought the Lord was coming and I was like "WAIT, LEMME PUT ON A BRA!!" with my dog in hand 🤣😭
4.8 is a rookie number. You will not survive in the Pacific.
It would be really terrifying if another earthquake like the one that happened in New Madrid back in 1811-1812 struck the East Coast USA again.
Slow news day ehh?
It actually lasted twenty-two seconds.
🙄🙄🙄
🙄😒 what's the problem?🤷🏾♀️
@@Jnixon458 She's black. That hurts him.
