      Hey Matt, check out these You-Tube Channels: Smart Christian Channel and Smart Christian Life. Corey is a down to earth apologist and interesting speaker. Not into Calvinism or NAR. Defends the doctrine of Eternal Security. Is not a "cessationist" or a "continuationist", but a "biblical continuationist". Exposes many false teachers and false doctrine. Does Bible Studies that many will find interesting. The ONLY thing I disagree with him about is when the "rapture" will occur (he holds to a pre-trib view).

    Brother thank you for mentioning @soteriology101 - I was pessimistically impacted by the pernicious philosophy of Calvinism. I got exposed to it 7-9 months into my Christian walk (at 17 years old) through the likes of Paul washer, MacArthur etc. Ever since then, It perpetually robbed me of the fruits of the spirit, because it galvanised me to pride & a pugnacious personality at times. A-know-it-all mentality. To a point where I trivialised the value of my family.
    I’m now 19 turning 20 in June. And the LORD JESUS CHRIST by His spirit has been revealing to me how deceived I was by it. Learning to rely upon the word of GOD, and not the doctrines concocted by men. My joy is returning again. Thank you for recommending those channels.

      I am so glad to see your response. It is so easy to follow the superstar preachers who are so good at explaining themselves. Paul never said to listen to him. He told the bereans to study the scriptures themselves to see if what he said was true. Continue to do that.

      Thankfully none of these channels are celebrities. They'll give you the background, historical context, archaeological finds, and philosophical discussions that you cannot find in the Bible.
      There's a place for reading your Bible alone supplemented with interacting with other believers through these channels in order to strengthen your understanding of the historical past and of the issues presented to the church today.

    I gave a view 7 days ago that you were spot on about the false teachers you pointed out. Well, I am calling you out today about these false teachers you gave today. I went to their channels and watched a few of their videos and they also have very basic flaws in their beliefs, which means you have some basic flaws in your beliefs if you think they are great to watch. Just calling a duck a duck. I have been walking out my faith for 45 years and where I was in where you are now, that was maybe year 5. Maybe in 40 years you will see the errors in your ways and be saddened by what you used to believe supposing you actually grew your faith. You on the other hand probably think I walked away from my faith. Farthest from the truth. If I did, I'd be a satanist yet I can point out basic points in your own walk which YOU are a practicing satanist. You would say "no am I not" but you are. You just don't know it yet. There will come a time when it will dawn on you that you were doing bad things in 2024. I just hope that this realization comes very soon.

    Thank you for these suggestions, I really needed this. I have been watching some that are great, one you recommend here, and some that are not good overall. Russlan is one I watched, and I think he's generally good, but the click bait gets on my nerves a little. Spoken Gospel is another interesting one, it's more of a podcast. • @lionoffireraw

      The last three days i have put out videos talking about different Christian UA-cam channels.
      I’ll be honest with you, I’m not a big fan of Ruslan. It’s not only the click bait, but I feel that he lacks discernment. He supports and defends The Chosen (I’ve done many videos showing the problem with this show, both on and off screen).
      He also associates with a lot of false teachers, and questionable people.
      He said that Christians can celebrate Halloween. He also said that it was fine to put a half naked picture of Beyoncé on the cover of a video (and then said it’s the fault of the people watching a video, if they fall into temptation).
      That’s just a handful of examples…

    One thing that needs to come to mind about Melissa Dougherty is that though she is right about a great number of theological issues she however never once came out critical of The Chosen. In fact she once had Dallas Jenkins on for an interview and never once did she confront him for the heretical claims that he was making, which very much upset me at the time because that was the only perfect opportunity she had to do that. Furthermore she has never once made anything warning people about the dangers of the show either.

Additionally, those who don't know these are false doctrines will walk away from false doctrine and false teachers.Confused and people who call them out especially publicly so all can see them.Not only dissuade others from teaching falsely but will clear up the confusion immediately because god is not a god of confusion the enemy is. These Christian channels use scripture, reason, logic, and experience as the fabric of their presentations. It Is not mere intellect or so-called human power, as you intimate.
      They expect to lay seed or water the garden of their listeners hearts, expecting God to assist in his part in the power of the Holy Spirit.
      Atheists and agnostics already don't believe in Jesus or in the Bible nor in Scripture and they believe that science is at odds with the biblical presentation.
      I believe it's our duty to give reasonable answers to their questions both from scripture and the world around us as to why we believe.
      If all you say is Jesus loves you, or that if you don't repent you're going to hell, you're not going to get many people listening, people will quickly turn their face away.
      These channels exist to try to give people reasonable answers leading to God's truth without them turning their face away. It's not one size fits all, otherwise we would all point to just one video presentation and say that's it.

      "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience..." We are commanded to be prepared to defend the Gospel. Yes, Jesus is the answer, and yes, the Holy Spirit convicts. But we must not abrogate our part. Just hitting someone with, "Y'all need Jesus" is not enough. But we must also be respectful and prayerful.

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST warned us about treating the commands of man as commands from GOD while he concurrently rebuked the Pharisees & Sadducees (Matthew 15:9). With love & grace.

  • @45Nasman
    @45Nasman 27 днів тому +2

    I agree with your first 4 brother. The doctrine of election and predestination is a real rub point. If I get into the Kingdom because of my smart choice and my unsaved family don’t, then do I enter marveling at my choice or is it more feasible to give God all the glory for doing what I couldn’t and didn’t want to do ?

    • @lionoffireraw
      @lionoffireraw  27 днів тому +3

      If we remove our choice, then we remove the choice of those who go to hell. It works both ways, and God gets the credit for that too.
      His salvation is available to all, and we need only accept it by faith, under the illuminating grace of his Holy Spirit 🙏
      It’s not about being smarter, or anything like that. Just like the Christian who grows in sanctification more than another, it’s by God’s grace! Same thing.

    • @gradyjohnson7853
      @gradyjohnson7853 27 днів тому +1

      Somehow God is able to do both. Jesus exists beyond what we perceive as time. He exists in all time at the same time. He cannot learn anything new because He knows all things. There are many examples of God giving people the ability to choose. He sets a choice before them. Like believe or don't believe. But with each choice there are circumstances. He gives us freewill to make those choices. But because God knows all things He knows what we will do but somehow has provisions for choices. That is a hard concept ro understand but it exist in the scriptures otherwise the choices would not be given. God cannot lie.
      I will give you an example. He gave is Isreal a choice. Follow Him and be blessed or reject Him and be cursed. They made a choice. But God knew what they would do. Same as with Adam. God knew Adam would sin. God knew satan would rebel. But God had already made a way of atonement.
      Don't underestimate what God is capable of. Read a book called 2 ezra or 4 ezra. God explains some of these things in it.
      Feom the beginning if everyone had obeyed the voice of God until now there would not not be one single person going to hell but each has made their own choice. God offered Cain a way to repent. But Cain chose to kill his brother and it all went downhill from there.

    • @lionoffireraw

      Yes, if you remove someone’s ability to respond they are by definition not responsible (response-able). That gives the sinner the PERFECT reason for rejecting God (God made him unable to accept him).

    I’m a believe the calvinist interpretation myself (if it comes down to it, as it’s a secondary point) but Calvinism is just a systematic theology, it’s not the gospel. I have no problem with Arminians and Provisionists as the gospel is about Christ and his death, burial and resurrection.

      Calvanism is a,,, CULT. We gladly mark JW's or Mormons and sometimes catholics yet we tippy toe around calvanism? It takes time, desire and the want to learn why Calvanism is so, so bad. You will learn more than you need at Beyond the Fundamentals with Mr Thompson. We did and are so grateful as our spirit was calmed.

      Also this is something many don’t know ⬇️
      The early church fathers who were taught directly by the apostles (who wrote the Bible) never believed that God chose some before birth and rejected others before birth. This doctrine was introduced into the church hundreds of years later by Augustine (who was influenced by his involvement in the gnostic cult of the Manichaean faith for 9 years).

      The biggest problem with Leighton Flowers is his leaning towards semi-Pelagian doctrine/he denies original sin.

    • @lionoffireraw
      @lionoffireraw  27 днів тому +1

      He believes that we are born with a sin nature, rather than we are guilty because of what Adam did. He believes that as a result of the fall, we inherited a sin nature. He doesn’t believe that a person can come to God without the illuminating grace of the Holy Spirit (which is present in the provision of the gospel, as it is preached).
      He is not a semi-palagian. That’s a massive straw-man that shows that a person doesn’t understand his position. He’s addressed this many times!
