I absolutely love the throw changes they've made throws stronger in high level play without hurting low level players since none of us break throws anyway 😂
Throws tracking both directions is huge!!! As a subpar king main this is gonna be great I also like the recoverable health portion it’ll take time to get used to but definitely looking forward to it
Glad to see your thoughts on changes you enjoy, there are a lot of pros that only see the negatives rn, when a new playing field is a chance for all of us to evolve and experience the game through a new lens
I started playing tekken this year and fell in love with it, I play Steve, but the changes coming to 8 since very cool and in the modern era really help garner some new players that won’t be scared off by how hard the game can be when you’re new, I like how aggressive you can be with the chip damage and the throws being implemented the way they are, seems like over all a good thing and I can not wait for 8
Another big thing about the throws is that crouch throws are unbreakable. So if king does a jab into grab you as opponent either have to break it or duck to avoid it and take the risk of eating a floor breaking crouch throw
The throw game change is really huge. Now that i think about it… Dragunov is somewhat throw based character to a degree. Maybe him and King could have a rivalry this time around?🤔
I hear a lot of people complaining about the CH throws but my opinion is it needed to happen At the lower levels it really doesn’t make a difference-we’re getting thrown like it or not lol At the higher levels it was almost non existent. These changes make them viable without making them game breaking Also in a game where counter hit launchers were taken away for so many, have a weaker generic counter hit option for all characters at that similar i11-12 window is a nice consolation
the coolest thing to me is that they really really toned down launchers and ch launchers! like not only they removed a ton of ch launchers but also most of it is recoverable and pokes does true damage so you are more motivated to play around frames and pokes rather than spamming ch launchers
I heard the counter hit throw break window was 8 frames but I don't know if that's correct or where I heard it. It's really interesting though since you basically have to buffer in a throw break guess, since there's no way you're reacting
NGL, I'll miss the low parry animation because it just looks so comical, but it was ridiculous it would lead on with a tail spin combo extension so ill get over it.
I cant wait to use the heat system. I also firmly believe (hope) the heat system was created because we're going to see a Bloody Roar character on the roster

Hey Majin! I was able to play a bit of King at Comic Con the other month. I noticed I wasn't able to parry strings like I used. Are leg and punch parries not usable on strings when blocking? Or has the timing has gotten so much stricter?
I'm so pleased about getup 3's are no longer launching, so many times in T7 I feel like "I've earned this knockdown, why do I have to take such a big risk with the oki all the time?!"
well … I don‘t know. Sure, for a pro like you, breaking throws is done in the sleep, but I dont have the reactions of a cat - wondering often, when people are like; left hand - right hand, or both of them… 90% of the players will be simply annoyed by this.
I can't wait for Tekken 8 Leroy cause of the chip damage and recoverable health. Imagine all the machine gun punches their safe, hurts even on block AND give him 10% health back he's gonna be a healthy boi.
PERSONALLY: I think the throw tracking was unnecessary. The simplified while running is a bad decision. The simplified backdash is great. The safe wake up kicks specially the mid one is a bad decission, it is a nerf for all characters that had a quick wall splat move. There's no reason to don't go for the mid kick when you are knocked down against the wall.

Sometimes I wonder if the low parry reward should be dependent on the low you parried. So for example a d4 gives you like a 13 frame punish window on a standing opponent, while unseeable hellsweeps should net you a combo.
About throws, I missed all the information bout T8, regular throws become 5i unbreakables or we talk about counter hit grabs that are naturally unbreakables?
I'm an Armor King main and i don't like that throws will be homing at all! Throws are hard to break online anyway. Now people will spam them like crazy.

I played Stun and Bakuryu on Bloody Roar. I'd much rather it get its own game than have its characters on Tekken.

The combo extender. The opponent flips then you are able to continue your combo.

It would benefit character with good fast lows way too much while for Mishimas there would be no point in using hellsweep, terrible idea
