This is my favorite Harry Potter movie.

Mine too, they r already "adults" and fight against evil but there is still some of the "student life fun" unlike in deadly hallows, good balance IMO
Professor Dumbledore's death was one of the most traumatic for Harry to witness. Right alongside his parents' murder at the hands of Voldemort when he was 15 months old, Cedric Diggory at the ratty (pun fully intended) hands of Wormtail during the last task of the Triwizard Tournament in that graveyard, and Sirius dying at the hands of his psychotic cousin Bellatrix Lestrange before he disappeared into the Veil in the Ministry Of Magic. Also, this is one of the few times Ron is shown to be intelligent in the movies. The scene on the Hogwarts Express where he's explaining the Unbreakable Vow to Harry, specifically. The wizard's chess scenes from Philosopher's Stone is another. I think another good example is the good questions he was asking in Chamber Of Secrets when Harry found that crumpled up book page in Hermione's hand.
Thankfully from this point on they treat Ron more seriously instead of just relegating him to comic relief.

Helena Bonham Carter is awesome. She steals every scene she is in.
I love her portrayal of Bellatrix. She is so delightfully and insanely homicidal and menacingly hot. My favourite villain of all time.

13:52 See that until now Emma, every defense against the Dark Arts teacher who came, left at the end of the academic year. Noticed that? Severus was Potions teacher until now, and now he is DADA teacher.. and by the end of the year, you know what happens and he leaves too.. 😢😢😢 ever wonder why that's happening?
The books actually get into more details on this ofc. This is happening bcos of a Student named Tom Riddle who once studied in Hogwarts as well.. aka Lord Voldemort, before he became what he is, Riddle actually wanted to work at Hogwarts, only the then headmaster Professor Dippet didn't allow him in, bcos Riddle was too young I think, and Riddle was asked to visit later on after some years have passed. But to his dismay, Albus Dumbledore became headmaster of Hogwarts by the time Tom came back after many years, and Dumbledore been the man he is, kept eyes on the news, and heard many dark things about Tom, and when Tom came out seeking the position of the teacher for Defense Against the Dark Arts, Dumbledore knowing his wrong doings, declined him the position. Before leaving Voldemort aka Tom, took out his wand, and placed a curse on the subject, this is the reason, why at the end of every academic year, the teacher in the position of DADA has to leave. 😅😅 hope it helps. There are tons of other memories that the movies have left out, that the books have.
Finally we got rid of Dumbledore. Can’t wait until we get Harry and his friends as well. I so do love happy endings.

I was probably 12 when I read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. When Snape killed Dumbledore, I reread the page over and over again out of disbelief. What a moment it was

Dumbledore has to die plot wise. The most powerful wizard in the world can’t be alive for the final battle.
