I raced Perti in 1992 Lucerne. I lead him the same way Andy did, and then he mowed me down in a ridiculous manner. Either Lange or Chalupa won the race, I have forgotten who came in third, maybe Kajetan Broniefski, I was fourth for a while from what I remember.... Perti was fifth a lane next to me. And I remember to this day his contagious rhythm.

Long powerful strokes he had, it was under a spell. He was 39 and I was 19. It was an awesome experience that I will never forget.
