Fan of Subodh sir. Bollywood is done and dusted, only creates films on propoganda. Its now upto the viewers to go to theatres and see the movies and that will force the Multiplexes to show more Marathi movies.

Tbh bollywood actors ki as actors other regional actors ,koi comparison hi nahi ho sakti...regional cinema and it's actors are levels above the plastic Hindi actor kids...this is the reason why they have never allowed regional actors the main roles but now due to ott the truth is out...

People forget the fact that so many Marathi artists have made a mark in Bollywood in front and back of screen, whether it's V Shantaram, Bhagwan dada, Lagu sir, Amol palekar, padmini kolhapure, N chandra, Nilu phule, Sachin pilgaonkar, Nana patekar, madhuri dixit, Sonali bendre, ashu gowarikar, Ritesh, shreyas all have made their mark in Bollywood, out of which amol palekar, sachin pilgaonkar, Nana patekar, Ritesh Deshmukh all are leading men. The problem lies in marathi cinema which has to A fight for the screens in Maharashtra and It's inability to make movies outside of one kind of people. variety of Movies like natrang, Kaksparsh, Timepass, duniyadari, Lai bhari don't get made often, instead marathi movies follow one trend on a dangerous level. In the 90s we didn't even create one strong male star who could carry movies for a decade or two. We kept on making daily soap movies for women which alienated youth and men in high numbers and I really hope post the success of baipan bhari deva, it doesn't start again
You forgot Dadasaheb Phalke, who started the Indian film industry as we know it.

Before questioning about Marathi actors' Hindi people should listen to many Hindi actors' (especially some starkids) Hindi. Most of them have strong English influence in their Hindi diction.
If they are rejecting Marathi actors because they have Marathi accent, do they have guts to reject any superstar/starkid just because their Hindi has English accent ???

In Linguistics studies, we say that there can't be any correct or wrong way of speaking. Everyone has their own variations.
And the second thing is who decides what is correct Hindi or English? Nobody or no organisation can dictate that.

You are missing the point . Hindi films welcome good actors . Vikram gokhale the great legendary marathi actor was always got respected roles in hindi . Mohan joshi also got good roles . You tell me one saleble marathi actor today in maharashtra who can pull the crowds except ritesh . No one. so why hindi industry would make you hero . Why are you limited to actors . What about ajay atul are they not number one in bollywood . Tanhaji director was marathi , ajay atul dont do as much films in marathi than they do in hindi . So you cant be selective . If talent is there people will appreciate . There are more marathi directors in hindi now compare to 10 years ago . Today article 370; is hit how many knows it is directed by marathi .

the whole problem is we think Cinema is an Art first and Business later... but for bollywood or for that matter any film industry currently running in India including Marathi.. Cinema is Business first and Art later.. so their whole focus is on the business/commercial aspect of it.. they are not emotionally involved .. Artist too should not claim that they are emotional about their work.. They all have compromised..There were days say 70 years from now.. the filmy people do not have any respect in the society but now things have changed. .. so you all are business minded people and there is nothing wrong in it.. but only thing is that.. don't call yourself an Artist.... you people should not get the respect a true artist deserves..

Subodh Bhave sir, Marathi film industrt must commercialize story and westernize music to gain popularity. 90% of telugu movies are bullshit, they focused on volume, not every movie is pushpa or bahubali. Also, we are bored of same faces, please don't include Swapnil and Sonali Kulkarni, they in the movie they are lull and dull.

I am marathi but dont totally agree with subodh bhave . I respect subhod for what he had done in marathi cinema but to say i will only be hero and not side hero is wrong . Laxmikant berde was best example that inspite of small roles his impact was huge in hindi cinema . For eg his roles in HAHK and maine pyar kiya is great . Infact i would say hindi cinema had given more goid roles to laxmikant berde than marathi cinema . Its not the lenght of the role the screen impact you have that matters .

Those actors live in maharashtra redeem services of state government, biggest market of hindi films is maharashtra for watchers so when we are so receptive of hindi language we treat the language as our mother tounge marathi so those actors who have been living in maharashtra for over 30 years cant speak a sentence in marathi marathi. like Shahrukh,kiara,alia or so many of them
