I think it's amazing how much HIM has evolved over the years. They're never afraid to push genre boundaries because *they* decide what love metal sounds like. Yet after all this time they've still kept that original style. Kiitos paljon, VIlle.
Ok Listen everyone, Not every record is supposed to sound the same. Every release brings a different vibe and this one happens to sound alittle happy. Every time a new record comes out its completely changes the direction of this band. How many bands can claim that. This is another great example of songwriting. Listen and soak it up. BTW my favorite HIM song is The Heartless that this man wrote when he was 13 yrs old.
Can we all say that Mige is amazing as the backing vocals along with being a bassist, Linde is a wonderful guitarist, Burton is a great Keyboardist (which is a rarity in rock bands), and Gas, lovely and cuddly looking Gas, is an awe inspiring drummer is is back to being 100%! :3

@MikeSandy09 I think venus doom is the beginning of a new road for HIM, because venus doom is a really really good album, with epic songs like 'Sleepwalking past hope' you cant say that isnt what you call 'old HIM' because it is written long before greatest lovesongs even came out :) venus doom is the album that made them back to their roots I see it as a new sort of 'greatest lovesongs' and screamworks as a new sort of 'razorblade romance' but my fav album isnt here 'Deep shadows' :(

@RedDeadA7x dude it's not happy it's just more upbeat so you can shake your bum to it lol I know it's different but different is good keeps you on the edge of things and listen to the lyrics...their isn't a happy song at all...they are all still gloomy with HIMs core just with that cheesy 80s synth which is cool! but if you don't like it it's cool cus they really did change a lot if you take it back to their first album

For me this band keeps progressing in a negative direction. I doubt I would’ve even listened to this in my teen years, it’s a little gay. I feel H.I.M stopped being H.I.M after love metal. With Dark Light they tried to become more American, and I don’t know one fan who likes it. Venus doom they tried to recapture the old days and it had its moments. This new album though… seems instead of moving ahead as musicians they’re continuing with attempts to appeal to masses as a pop group.
