Thank you for mentioning that European woman who came to Osun's shrine...the way you describe Yoruba culture as being changing and not static fills in a piece of the puzzle for me. Whenever i feel myself descending into resentment over white colonization, i remember that woman. I need to read about her again.

Am on a journey and good to know that my ancestral prompts to unschool my son could be the awkwardness I need to embrace. And also the intuitive knudges to engage my child as someone who knows more (an elder therefore whose prompts must be taken more seriously is emerging in my household).

I love this so much, ~ , the ExtraOrdinary, is always trying to Be-come Ordinary. . Light itSelf, god itSelf,,the Extra-Ordinary Essence, our true Nature, is so wanting to Be expressed as the ordinary Human. the HU longing to Become physical. What is stopping this expression? what is the nature of this persistent resistance in the Human? It should be as easy as a resounding "Yes, god, Yes'.. of Free Choice. but, to melt the resistance we must utterly Surrender to Love... but,,, how DO we surrender? How DO we melt, and let Love have its Sacred , Intimate Way with us? with our bodies, with our minds, and hearts, and eyes, and hands? is it even possible? is it even possible, to Be-come so utterly thoroughly physically penetrated , permeated, drenched , saturated, occupied, Anima-ted by the ExtraOrdinary /Spirit/ Love/ god . Or, we 'know' that We already are, That. So Ham. Ham Sa. Sat Chit Ananda,,..but, whatever the 'resistance' is, is damming the River, sullying the Brilliant Clarity of Love, that LONGS to Be, Us. You, Me, We. All. what a conundrum is this Being HU and man, Light and Form. Clarity and Confusion. What a riotous and bawdy guest house is this Be-ing HU man . xoxoxox
