- A super blood moon is coming in May 2021. This will be the combination of two celestial events, a supermoon, and a total lunar eclipse. This will be the first and the only total lunar eclipse of 2021. The last blood moon made an appearance on 21 January 2019.
The May 26 supermoon will be the largest of the four supermoons this year. The total lunar eclipse of May 26 will last for more than 3 hours, but the Blood Moon will only appear for 14 mins and 30 seconds.

Here in the UK we rarely ever get to see a Lunar Eclipse that isn't at Moonrise or Moonset. And even if one did occur, the chances of it being clear are next to none. The UK is an astronomers worst nightmare.
