Hi Kev. Had one of these for 5 years. Removed front and rear bumper. Made it 6 wheel steer. Changed steering links to metal ones. (plastic ones flex too much when crawling). added 13kg servos. all electronics and motor stock. been through water, mud. Never had any problems. BRILLIANT fun for the price.
Traxxas just released a video today with a new 6x6 Mercedes
Looks very similar doesn't it. Traxxas may be slightly better quality. If arrma make one it will be stuck together with locktight no doubt
Kev should do a comparison with this one, I'd be interested to see which climbs more steeply...

You can lock each differential remotely on the traxxas plus loads of other awesome functions dude 👍

Love my HG P601 6x6. Bought it when it was 119.00, upgraded to metal parts and been loving it ever since. Sure its weak sauce compared to axial tamiya and traxxas but still a blast.

Ive got the 4x4 version of this crawler, removed front and rear bumpers, upgraded the shocks and motor etc, beadlock wheels,its an awesome truck for cheap pennies!

This is legit dirt cheap, it’s cheaper than a traxxas xl5 rtr without the battery or charger
And it’s 1:10 scale with everything included- with a lipo battery!

The lipo battery is a HUGE selling point for me. Typically it is just a nimh battery.

I have the 4x4 version of this. It's really pretty good for the money although there's a few areas that help from a little modding and the metal chassis rails are a must upgrade from the stock haribo ones. The angle of the stock steering link is ridiculous too.
Not the best out there but it's plenty good for my needs.
I do wish I had gotten the 6x6 though!

Cool video Kevin I like the six wheel drive truck.
i have one of those from HG and its performed brilliantly since i have owned it. it has handled 3s lipo and also brushless. needs to be upgraded to metal parts if heavy modification is done to it as it flexes a lot. only broken two parts so far which is one of the diff housings and the main gearbox which is now they full metal gearbox. fork out a little more on banggood and you can get the full metal version which i wish i went for in the first place. I once turned it into an 8x8 and it pretty much handled everything i threw at it.
To make it 6 wheel steering buy two more servos and two front axles which are cheap. and its as easy as that as there is space to put the servos in between the body posts on the chassis made for the servos. all in all its a fantastic crawler and really cheap and you wont be continuously buying new parts for it every time you bash it around and torture it.

I have had one for about 4 yrs . The steering can be upgraded to 6 wheel steering and there are two speeds if you buy the servo. I believe that is what they mean on the box. You can extend it up to 5 axles but you will go thru drive shafts. I got mine for 85 US it is cheap but worth it at around 1 hundo. Cheers

The GTA themed crash is a good touch. I have a Wraith Spawn And an 80 turn motor coming next week. I'll be taking it nice and slow. I don't know how small a pinion gear I can put on but we'll find out.

I think that an APC style crawler could be a lot of fun..... didn't you feature a work in progress 8 wheeler a couple video's ago? (not a APC but more a missile carrier type of vehicle)
For example a BTR80, added bonus: those vehicles (well the real ones that is) are amphibious!

Buy a second one (I don't know if parts can be ordered) and take the front axle assembly and steering servo off it to replace the rear axle of the first one. Then mount the steering servo to enable rear steering. Of course you'd have to get a transmitter/receiver that supports rear steering... but I'll bet that would solve the crappy turning radius.
