The soul of the franchise was always Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor. He was the one we as the audience could relate to in Fast and Furious movie. Once Paul died and Brian was written off, it never was the same to be honest. Furious 7 was the last time I was invested in a Fast and Furious movie and even though 8 and 9 had some great moments, it was not the same. Really does say a lot when the only thing I loved about Fast X is when Dom was looking at those old photos in his garage and the See You Again instrumental kicks in and also when Dom saved Elena's sister Isabella and gave the cop and a street racer have a lot in common speech.
I think we're retroactively rewriting history here a lil bit. Fust and Furious 6 and Furious 7 were well loved, and even Fate of the Furious was a mixed bag, it was only at F9 that the majority of the audience started considering it bad. Saying that they were hated from the start is misrepresenting the audience's perception of the franchise.
Agreed. It's not a popular opinion but I loved Tokyo Drift and everything after through 7. Once Paul Walker wash gone it lost it's heart. 7 was awesome! Thankfully they pushed past 2 which was an absolute shit show.
F9 is very much the worst movie in the franchise, I already know these movies won’t be great, but yet I was very disappointed with how much I didn’t enjoy it, The Fate of the Furious is better, but the second worst movie, thankfully I enjoyed Fast X, it’s not a good movie but I haven’t had as much fun watching a Fast & Furious movie in a while, it’s still The third worst movie.
the first fast and furious is actually really good over the years, i guess it's because the movie didn't know it would turn into a huge franchise at the time. it's not self aware yet. undercover cop befriends the people he's supposed to put away in a 'point break' kinda way. Thrills galore.
The fact that we knew Han was going to die made the Han and Giselle pairing all the more bittersweet in the beginning, but no, everyone comes back to life somehow
Honestly if you came to any Fast movie and expected something great then you came to the wrong movies to begin with. Fast X was a really fun movie with awesome action. I thought they tied in Dante pretty good. Seeing Hobbs return wasn’t a surprise to me but it was funny considering the past beef. Overall for me Fast X was a 8/10. Really fun and enjoyable time and that’s all I look for in these movies.
So true. I avoid watching it for a while but wanted to see anyway. I enjoyed it for what it is. Loved Jason Mamoa character. Also loved seeing Alan Ritchie 😊
Maybe you’re the one lying to urself thinking anyone gives a fuck about what u think of their opinion . It’s a movie . Some people love it , some people hate it . That’s how it’s gonna be . Stop throwing shade at people who like it just because u don’t .
I found dante a bit extra that he became annoying but he was a typical rich villain with some extra good stuff Also jakob was really good character too bad mia wasnt there Also I feel like cypher was really good character in this movie her dynamic with letty was kinda cool
Fast X has 2 positives for me. First Daniella Melchior is incredible. She had a small role in the movie, but when her moment was shown in the house, she showed us why she is a great actress. I just only watched the movie, because of her. I hope she will appear in more other movies. Second positive is John Cena, I really liked him here, it was like he brought his Peacemaker energy here. Altough the whole movie exhausted me and at the I became freaking pissed when they brought Giselle back. I wonder how they are going to explain it. I bet she is an identical twin of the original Giselle and they can make scenes like Star-Lord and new Gamora and in Fast X third part she will say “I bet we were fun”.
@@HeelDashing Im curious how they are going to explain it. She got amnesia too? To be honest all charachters who died and revived doesn’t make sense. Han had a protegé in the previous movie. Where is she now? Or she was just a McGuffin and a reason why Han didn’t make touch with the Family? I hate when they bring back charachters, because tha fans love them.
The movie was horrible, I kind of wanted a refund for my money. Justin Lin didn’t return, and Gisele death was fake just like the other ones. The movie has run it’s course.
Mamoa was superb in this. Definitely the highlight of the film, why the apparent upset of vin for Jason stealing the show, I don't understand, you WANT an interesting villain don't you? To keep people on their toes 😂
@@meninpapin so fukn annoying. I'll watch the next movie just bc at this point I'm just to invested not to. hahaha. But I can't imagine dealing with him another whole movie
He couldn't beat Vin Diesel in a straight-up old-fashioned drag race. That makes me furious! I would've dusted him if he's f**king stupid to race me in the Nurburgring Nordscheilfe track!
Vin Diesel should play a villan in a Max Max movie instead of making these sequels. He's getting too old and should've stop when Paul Walker died out of respect.
He played one of the best villians I've seen in a movie in quite awhile. Out of all the cookie cutter plastic preformances he actually created a real character. He created this over the top villian like in a bond film. The movie just is so over the top and unbelievable that its now to the point of absurity. In an action movie there is always a sense of disbelief of course but these movies go way beyond that point. I mean Arnold taking on an Army yeah that is pretty ridiculous but these movies have gone beyond that with the car stunts and all the crashes. Also so they were car racers ran basic heists but now they're super spies? I mean in one way it kind of is the urban James Bond films but its just so out there. Also you know some how at the end they'll all survive as always. There are no real stakes in the series. The car in space as well? As the franchise goes the first three films were good because they were all different. I liked the fish out of water idea in the third though then they changed the timeline.
1. Why are people mad about irrelevant things, yeah f&f started as a street race movie and the showing the street life but trust me, if the movie had continued with that energy, it would have been a great flop, what happens when you keep dropping different movies about street racing, it gets boring, we all got bored at one point with even death race that was more than just race, need for speed was an horrible movie, lots of car racing movies are horrible 2. Why would you expect a real stunt from an action movie? A man can’t beat up 15 other guys at the same time cause of some spy training, that’s what Jackie Chan does in his movies? And no one calls it ridiculous, it’s an action movies whatever stunt they do, have fun and forget about it, movies like that aren’t trying to teach you anything it’s just fun So why all these harsh criticism??
It should’ve ended after Tokyo Drift, bam problem solved. Also “Harsh Criticisms” wtf 😂 bro learn to take criticism instead being so defensive of your favorite thing in the world
I only saw the first two F&F films; and quite frankly, I barely remember the second one, so I actually did a double take when Movie Overload mentioned "Pontiac in space". 😳😲
This movie was hard to watch. Vin takes it so seriously and every time he shows up made me roll my eyes. I was a big Fast fan but the writing is so bad on this film. I really hated how a villain somehow knew what things were going to happen even if the plan didn't turned out the way they originally planned. Like somehow the characters knew that a random event was going to happen so they planned ahead something else to counteract. It was dumb and the story didn't make sense.
It turned to a shit franchise when Vin Diesel thought he was making awards worthy cinema 😂 since Paul Walker died, he really believed the films were gonna gain some sort of credibility that was gonna propel his career into actual filmmaking.
If bumblebee doesn't show up in fast 11 I'ma be disappointed. Imagine, Dom steals an old Camaro to make his get away but gets surrounded.then just when the bad guys are about to blast him away the car transforms into bumblebee to save his ass. Send me the check Vin, It's gonna make 2 billion if they do this
Going in expecting to hate it, I actually liked it. The villain stole the show, I liked that he was killing characters. Story was trash, but it was a dumb fun movie. This franchise stopped being worth expecting any good from long ago. Shifting into dumb fun. Was something lost? Sure, but the old movies are always there and it’s okay to have a dumb fun movie. I didn’t dislike it nearly as much as I expected being dragged to watch it
I went into this film expecting to really not like Jason Mamoa’s character but I ended up really liking him. His energy was great and he was actually convincing!! Loved it. If I’m honest, this film was definitely a step up in terms of entertainment but I have nothing positive to say about Giselle coming back. Why is she back?! 🤣🤣 she fell off a speeding aircraft .. and dropped onto concrete 🤣🤣 nah she dead.
Once Vin started talking about spin-offs, I knew they were going in the "cinematic universe" direction. This film is already doing crazy well, and if the holiday weekend is any indication, it will have a fantastic hold. I can't wait for the next one if glfor no other reason where the hell the story goes from here. Something Something family.
I would argue the film did not do "crazy well" 2 weeks ago when this was posted. I think the opening weekend showed plenty of reasons for concern. The world wide total looked solid, but you can't ignore that shrinking domestic opening. And you had to expect at least around a 65% drop in week 2. The only hope this film had is to have crazy legs internationally, but it didn't. With the inflated budget this film is going to lose money at the box office.
@@faz1483 it’s opening weekend did solid but after that it went down hill. Domestically people checked out of this franchise and internationally people are starting too as well. This franchise should’ve already been over with but nope. Two more films to go
@@jonfreeman9682 Not true. The F9 had a reported budget of $200-225 million. Fast X budget ballooned to $350 mililon! That budget set it up for failure. Fast 8 did 1.2 billion in comparison. That shows you do need a decent story. Fast 8-10 have been garbage and as a result have had diminishing returns. I mean Fast X made about half of Fast 8.
@@faz1483 That's crazy stupid money they're spending no wonder they barely breakeven. But you're right the story is getting repetitive. They've settled into formula. Introduce new baddie fight then become BFF in sequel. Kill off key character then pull a fake out and they're back. So yeah the story drags and fans have bailed. But other movies are struggling the same. Transformers, Flash, Indy so maybe viewers want fresh ideas.
Way too much fantasy and not enough grounded in realism and normal day to day life. Little b is not big enough to see above the steering wheel in the black charger at the dodger stadium scene, and he should be learning the basics in the Chevelle him and his dad are building. Han needed some back story, nothing to add in his scenes. Where has he been doing all this time. Nothing to add to the movie. Grandma was out of place as well 9 movies and never heard word about her. The family seems to be incomplete at the beginning of the movie. No Sean Boswell,Rico Santos and no jakob at the table. Also, throughout the whole movie, they outdid the stuntman Evel Knievel, which I believe it's unbelievable Lastly, family should be seen and not be spoken
Yep. They didn't even bother trying to make it consistent. The other thing that really angered me about it is that they set up that post credit scene in the last movie like Han was actually going to confront Deckard Shaw about him attempting to kill him and the rest of the family but then in Fast X it's almost like he ended up there randomly and it wasn't serious at all and nothing got resolved at all. It was just a throwaway scene to pad out the movie's run time. Han is my favorite Fast & Furious character and to see them not even care enough about making his scenes and setups consistent just tells me that the writers/directors of this movie no longer care about trying to make anything make sense anymore or even properly attempt to set up drama anymore. It's all just pointless explosions and nonsense now with a reenactment of Jesus Christ rising from the dead every 2 or 3 films because why not. It's so dumb.
@@LunaticKD1991 exactly plus if Mr. Nobody knew Han was alive then why did he meet up with Dom at Hans funeral and Mr. Nobody knew Jakob and never told Dom, They could’ve easily shown Han escaping before the car exploded, but from Sean’s point of view he just seen the car blow up. We still need to know won between Sean and Dom. I feel like it should’ve ended after Furious 7 because the franchise is done without Paul Walker
People always say "These are Bad! Plz Stop!" But they keep making More Movies of em. Well they must be Good enough to be making money, Enough to make the Next 1 😅 Y'all keep coming They keep coming
The reason why FaF is still going is because no one would cast Vin Petrol in any other movie so he has to keep making money off of FaF and what really is stupid is that people pay to watch this garbage.

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!!!! I'm personally not comparing it with other movies of various genres because in that case then Fast X isn't bad. Now comparing it to its earlier self is where the problem is because it was a great movie in the beginning but NOW.... and Fast X is the tip off the cliff....
It's been that way since Fast 7. It was painfull to watch, it took all my strength to get to the end, that last scene with Paul. It' s been down hill ever since. I' m surprised you even took the time to watch Fast X.
The last one I saw was 7 and.. I think that ending should have been the end to the franchise. Just end it right there with Dom and Brian driving off into separate paths. It was even spiritual.. Because it doesn't make sense to continue the series without PW.
Completely agree with what you mentioned. Since after F6, I cannot remember the storyline for F7 & after. When I was watching Fast X, I was thinking, when will it end? When will it end? 😅
Well Fast 6 - 9 is all one big story Ciphers Story how Cipher wanted to work with deckard shaw however he said no so what did cipher do? she targetted his younger brother, which would kinda explain how cipher knows giselle and saved her, like giselle saved letty, in fast 7 Cipher's plan worked Deckard shaw is indirectly working with her and her new partner mose jakande, Fast 8 Cipher decided okay you want something done right do it yourself she went to dom directly and blackmailed him into working with her, Fast 9 She corrupted Jakob to do her bidding Fast X is starting the Reyes family vs Toretto Family Fast 5 Was just part 1 Fast X is part 2 Fast 11 and 12 are part 3 and 4
this was my first fast movie because my mom wanted to see it. It expected it to be worse but I had a good time watching it especially with Jason Mamoa's character. Im assuming it's not at all as good if you have seen other fast and furious movies
I wonder how Dom survives this one. They probably going to show that Dom escaped that situation with his kid by showing his family jumped out of that plane with their cars and saved him before he got tsunamaied and they come back after Dante makes that call to kill him which will be in the next one
It hasn’t been the same since Jason Lin left the franchise and Vin Diesel has taken it upon himself to take creative control. It’s become bloated, badly acted and way too many storylines
These movies are like lighting money on fire because you like the sparkle. Even my pre teen brain knew this after f5 and you people are barely noticing now!?
I don’t understand. If they do something crazy as going to space, people don’t like it, and say that was too much and that they have to put a step back. And than they do put a step back, and people say that wanted something crazier and that it wasn’t new. WTF DO U WANT?????
Who, within his/her right mind would keep watching this movie saga after the 3rd or maybe the 4th without realizing this shit is like what FIFA is for gaming or what Reggueton is for music? 😂
I was done with the Fast movies when The Rock was depicted as a damn super hero with super human strength. I can illegally stream Fast X right now but have no desire to see it
I think everyone's riding on the hate train. Tbh Fast X was better than the previous two installments. The movie has a target demographic and you could say it has succeeded in keeping them on the hook. I am not a fan of mindless action films but once in a while, turning the mental machinery and getting on a roller coaster ride is actually good. Its not like the FAST movies are trying to overshadow the kinds of Shawshank or John Wick but for what they are, they are doing a good job at it. Again, comparing to some previous films, it's actually not bad !
I look forward to switching my brain off and watching these new fast and furious movies ngl. Literally just sit there laughing at the whole movie😂 the script, the action, all of it is hilariously ott. I can accept the series died after tokyo drift

Compared to the last one, i actually think this one is pretty good. We all know nowadays the stunts are a little more unrealistic but overall i thought it was still good. Also, Jason’s performance was superb and hella , i actually liked the fact that it was a little more gruesome and less child friendly in certain moments.

Really does say a lot when the only thing I loved about Fast X is when Dom was looking at those old photos in his garage and the See You Again instrumental kicks in and also when Dom saved Elena's sister Isabella and gave the cop and a street racer have a lot in common speech.
The franchise died after tokyo drift
I wish they would have actually wrapped his character up instead of saying "We can't involve him" or "He's safe" for 3 more movies.

@@brentpeddy4223 i have the same opinion.
FAST X is better than the last few movies to be fair!

@@Kev27RS it's a male soap opera with good action. I would still consider it a bad movie, but it is entertaining.
My biggest annoyance is the fact that multiple people had the chance to easily kill Danté, and they just didn't, without good reasons
I would've killed Jason Momoa with my Evo 7, my GTO Twin Turbo MR or my R34 GT-R till everyone at Universal throws a childish tantrum.

Tokyo Drift was pretty much a spin-off…
It took the producers almost 10 years to attach Tokyo Drift to the storyline…
the first fast and furious is actually really good over the years, i guess it's because the movie didn't know it would turn into a huge franchise at the time. it's not self aware yet. undercover cop befriends the people he's supposed to put away in a 'point break' kinda way. Thrills galore.
The franchise ended at Furious 7
The fact that we knew Han was going to die made the Han and Giselle pairing all the more bittersweet in the beginning, but no, everyone comes back to life somehow

Honestly if you came to any Fast movie and expected something great then you came to the wrong movies to begin with. Fast X was a really fun movie with awesome action. I thought they tied in Dante pretty good. Seeing Hobbs return wasn’t a surprise to me but it was funny considering the past beef. Overall for me Fast X was a 8/10. The only good part was the bad guy. Everything else was forgettable.

That Jacob is a completely different character in this movie doesn't matter to you?
Nah it’s definitely OG Giselle, she survived for a reason that didn’t make sense like Han.

To be honest all charachters who died and revived doesn’t make sense. Han had a protegé in the previous movie. Where is she now? Or she was just a McGuffin and a reason why Han didn’t make touch with the Family?
I hate when they bring back charachters, because tha fans love them.
Honestly it really wasn't that bad of a film once u accept that the fast series is what it is... Also it's definitely better than part 9

He was boring and annoying.
I've already seen performances like that before
Every villain trying to be joker nowadays

@@meninpapin so fukn annoying. I'll watch the next movie just bc at this point I'm just to invested not to. hahaha. But I can't imagine dealing with him another whole movie
He couldn't beat Vin Diesel in a straight-up old-fashioned drag race. That makes me furious!
I would've dusted him if he's f**king stupid to race me in the Nurburgring Nordscheilfe track!
Vin Diesel should play a villan in a Max Max movie instead of making these sequels. He's getting too old and should've stop when Paul Walker died out of respect.
I thought it was just me but I agree, Jason Momoa was by far the best part of the movie.
He was phenomenal
He carried the whole movie. He make it very enjoyable. Diesel was insufferable.
Lmao 😂 he was terrible!!!!
Was he trying to portray the joker?!? Lol
1. Why are people mad about irrelevant things, yeah f&f started as a street race movie and the showing the street life but trust me, if the movie had continued with that energy, it would have been a great flop, what happens when you keep dropping different movies about street racing, it gets boring, we all got bored at one point with even death race that was more than just race, need for speed was an horrible movie, lots of car racing movies are horrible
2. Why would you expect a real stunt from an action movie? A man can’t beat up 15 other guys at the same time cause of some spy training, that’s what Jackie Chan does in his movies? And no one calls it ridiculous, it’s an action movies whatever stunt they do, have fun and forget about it, movies like that aren’t trying to teach you anything it’s just fun
So why all these harsh criticism??
It should’ve ended after Tokyo Drift, bam problem solved. Also “Harsh Criticisms” wtf 😂 bro learn to take criticism instead being so defensive of your favorite thing in the world

He had a scene explaining to dom he's studied him. For years Dante sat in the shadows watching.
welcome to the fast and furious franchise😂😂
You went to see this movie and expected anything to make sense . 🤣
I was expecting dumb but I still ended up getting disappointed
It turned to a shit franchise when Vin Diesel thought he was making awards worthy cinema 😂 since Paul Walker died, he really believed the films were gonna gain some sort of credibility that was gonna propel his career into actual filmmaking.
If bumblebee doesn't show up in fast 11 I'ma be disappointed. Imagine, Dom steals an old Camaro to make his get away but gets surrounded.then just when the bad guys are about to blast him away the car transforms into bumblebee to save his ass. Send me the check Vin, It's gonna make 2 billion if they do this
It would be very stupid and entertaining but people will give it a bad review for it
Going in expecting to hate it, I actually liked it.
*10 years ago Fast 6 was released. what in the earth we are living right now?*
Two more films to go
It pulled in $700 million same as last one so didn't do bad. The show doesn't need a story but just show the car stunts.
Also, throughout the whole movie, they outdid the stuntman Evel Knievel, which I believe it's unbelievable
Lastly, family should be seen and not be spoken
I thought Han had a haircut when he seen
Shaw at the end of Fast 9 and it was at night. In Fast 10 he has hair and it’s morning
