  • Hello folks!
    Quant section was perceived to be the most scoring section of all for the last couple of years! Quant was the most popular section among the aspirants for its straight forward approach and binary nature. However, CAT 2023 changed all of that.
    With a ton of algebra, questions on number of possible outcomes, find out the max and min value - CAT 2023 has stumped us all.
    Assuming CAT 2024 might throw another bouncer in all probability, we decided to make a detailed Quant Analysis video of the past 4 years of CAT exam!
    In this video Rajesh sir will also discuss how to prepare for CAT 2024 Quant keeping in mind how CAT 2023 stumped us.

      @@2iimcat sir, earlier in a video I commented that I only have one call this time, i.e rohtak and I gave it. Went okay I guess. Fingers crossed. Your line "if you have a call, you have a chance" stuck to me.

    After 2015 dilr has became tougher and tougher gradually but still , the difficulty of those sets are more towards someone's aptitude ,as in they want you to think more then it used too ,in last year's quant most of people struggled not cause they weren't able to think but cause it had alot of technicalities which most of the people not aligned with maths will almost never know no matter how much they thought
    This definitely causes more problems then it solves as it shifts the entire purpose of an aptitude exam towards an engineer/maths focused individuals instead of people coming from actual business or managerial background ,so i think they have to dial it down cause you can't amp it up from here ,that will scare away everyone not good in maths!,
    I'd rather take GMAT and get outside the country then compete in an biased exam (IIM AHMEDABAD IN 2021 MADE THE PERFECT PAPER CAT HAS EVER SEEN)

      Am with you on this one. Completely. Some parts of Quant 2023 were absurd. I simply couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't solve quite a few of the questions even while revisiting them for our UA-cam solutions. I am ok with the difficulty level going up, but it looked very much like they were expanding the syllabus and style of questioning. I sincerely hope they dial it down.
      Fingers crossed.

    Sir you are so on point. However one need to be ready to change approach keeping the paper in mind and tbat comes purely from mocks.
    I followed the exact same strategy you are speaking about and my quants went from 62 to 96 this year. Purely from arithmetic.
    Got admitted in SPJIMR as well.

      True - the presence of mind to shift strategies by assessing the paper is an important skill to pick up if one wants ace CAT. Congratulations for converting SPJIMR! Best wishes!

    So in the exam if we aim to do 7 questions correctly then we’ll be to score 98% to 99% for sure?

    • @2iimcat
      @2iimcat  3 місяці тому +1

      Roughly, yes. But this is applicable for CAT 2023 because of how tough the quant section was. What gets you 99%ile keeps varying according to the toughness of the paper.

    10th-80.6%, 12th-76.4%,(OBC)now I'm currently doing 1st year in engineering. Aiming for CAT 2027, is there any hope to enter IIM (ABC) with this bad profile? If that is possible then what is the safe percentile in CAT?

    • @khalidhussain3533
      @khalidhussain3533 3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, you can make it to ABC, provided your cat score is 99+
      And in colleges like IIM-B, preference will be given to work ex as well, a new amendment in selection criteria is UG scores. You have a chance to improve your graduation grades, so please make the most of it.
