Awesome review, GoldenNinja3000! I believe that this is the best and obviously the most accurate version of the Great Hall we ever got in minifigure-compatible form. The best part of this set is definitely the exterior. I am so impressed by how it was done to the point of including a reasonably-sized courtyard and a walkway where you could place minifigures outside the Great Hall. While I do like the interior of both the Great Hall itself and the bottom rooms, I still think they could've been better. To make the bottom rooms more secure, I think you can replace the brick yellow connector pegs with cross axles with the regular connector pegs so that the rooms do not slide out as easily while moving the set. Now that I think about it, since this set is supposed to take place during Halloween, it was a huge missed opportunity to include jack-o'-lanterns as extra pieces to replace the floating candles as well as more food options for the tables to create a huge Halloween feast. That would've really helped with making the interior of the Great Hall stand out a lot more in comparison to other sets featuring the Great Hall. I really like the minifigure selection of this set, since we get at least one student from each house, and since all six of the student figures all use reused parts (with the possible exception of Leanne, who has a new color for that child face print), that means we were able to get a super detailed version of Dumbledore with arm printing and really detailed figures of the Fat Friar and Professor Vector, who are two characters we only see in the background. For a set of this size and that price, I think they could've included Neville and Draco as extra figures since characters like those two did not need to use any new prints and would've helped populate the set a bit more. Now that we have three of the four house ghosts in LEGO form, there is a possibility that they could add the Bloody Baron in a future set as long as they remove the blood from his torso and possibly just refer to him as "The Baron" to make it more family-oriented. $200 is a lot for a regular set, especially since this set costs twice as much as the 2018 Great Hall set, but I don’t think it’s truly overpriced, especially because of its big size, the about of detail it has, and it’s nice selection of figures. I think that this set, while being yet another Great Hall, is a very good start for a brand new Hogwarts system to make "the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts castle scene ever." I can imagine the Grand Staircase tower being really tall and detailed to the point of being able to fit a complete-looking Dumbledore's office above the grand staircase if we get that set next year.
I ordered it last week and I really look forward to have it standing right in front of me! It will come in two or thee days I think, but I fear I have to wait until the weekend bevor I can start bulding it! And I also think, i will modify the middle tower on the roof and change the windows into the small ones that are included in the courtyard. Above that, I want to put one more into the front... I have seen it done in a blog already and it looks a lot better like this I think... Furthermore, I want to change the windows in the courtyard into the normal round ones, so that minifigures are able to look through them. I have already tried this idea out with some bricks and it works for me I think... I really have a lot more ideas to modify this set, but I dont know if they all work out, so i will wait until i can try them out, bevore I speak about them. What is more, I would really like to watch a video on your ideas to change some aspects of the set, because I would love to look at some more ccol ideas to improve my castle! In the end: if there are some errors in my writings.. I am sorry. I am from Germany and my english is clearly not perfect! Greetings from far away...
Yep, those all connect around 76435. There will probably be several more Hogwarts sets next year that will follow this same system. In the past, we got 2-3 Hogwarts sets each year that connected together!
Great review! I always think your thoughts are very fair to the set and the designers (also, I think the “dormer windows” on the roof are upside down, the sand green should be on top I believe to suggest the roof over the stone. I only notice because I’ve seen a couple other reviews of this set that also have them reversed so it seems to be a really common mixup)
This one also looks like there’s potential for a set to attach to it, just based on the vertical clips on the interior
I hope we get an expansion next year!

I can’t wait to see what section of the castle we get next!
Solid review!
I feel the same about the common room not having a space with the use of the potions class.
Can't wait to see your review of that.
Thank you 🙂
Your review sums up the good and the bad things about that set really well I think! Thank you! :-)
Thanks for watching!

Can you please explain how they connect like drawing a map? i’ve tried the video and i keep getting confused
I would love to have a play feature in the windows of the end in the hall to recreate the scene where Snapes comes out of the castle flying!!!
The hair piece on Leanne was also used in one of the JURASSIC WORLD CHAOS THEORY sets
for Yaz in black’
Nice video😊😊
Could someone tell me what are the combining sets ? I can count 3 (76426, 76430 and 76431), any other ? In the futur ? Thanks.
