Great job! Also, you are going to be watching these videos for the rest of your life. Your kids are a riot and being able to listen to them once they get older is a treasure worth its weight in gold.
Thank you, sir! You definitely get it. My favorite part of making these projects and videos is the time spent with my kids. We always have so much fun doing it! And to be able to look back at our time together, absolutely priceless.
This is the type of comment I love to read. Thank you so much! Involving your kids makes it so much more fun!

Hello my friend, It's good to see you make a video again. It's a good project. A great feat. You are a talented master. A very nice chessboard project. At the end of a long study, I saw a magnificent result. You did a really good job. You built a fancy chessboard. Your little assistant is good at cleaning brushes and helping you. Congratulations. See you. Stay healthy and happy. Big greetings. Yours sincerely, Mehmet.
Thank you, Mehmet! This project was literally a year in the making. I’ve had a lot going on outside the shop and it was nice to finally get this video out!
I have also stopped using my bandsaw for resawing thin boards. Now I put a circular saw blade in the table saw (thinner kerf) and it works out pretty darn good. Great looking project btw! Nice to see you making videos again
Thank you very much, Harki! It was the most challenging thing I’ve made to date, and definitely brought with it a sense of satisfaction once I finished!
Thanks, Jeff! I’ve been super busy out of the shop, so it will still be slim pickings from me for a while. This project started almost exactly a year ago. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get the video of the chess pieces done next!
Great work, I'm can't wait to watch the chess pieces video they look awesome. This is also on my bucket list of projects. I think I'll be dame right shamelessly copying them pieces. 😊💜
Thank you, Karl! It’s a fun project and you won’t be disappointed when you get to work on it! The video for the pieces will be out in probably a few weeks. I’ve got a lot going on outside the shop at the moment.
This Chess Board turned out beautiful. I judge from the different shirts you wore it took several days to finish the project. By the way The White Lab t shirt is pretty cool.
I’m a little confused. When you go to cut the dados for the frame around the board, you show the board horizontal adjusting the blade to your mark. But that’s not the way you ended up cutting the dado. Would the measurement be the depth of the dado you cut on the chess board? Kind of confusing to type out.
Life has decided to keep me busy lately. I haven’t made the video for the pieces yet, but I have all the footage waiting patiently for me. Thank you for watching and stay tuned!
The builder always notices the mishaps, but that is truly a nice build. The laughter adds to the video. Good stuff.

The kids voice over made this video for me. Hope to do stuff like this with my sons when they get a bit older.

Great work and having the little one involved was the cutest thing! I love including my 4yo daughter in my projects!
Amazing outcome on the board! The shine looks nice on it as it looks good as a showpiece in the house.
Thank you, sir! You probably noticed the Craftsman table saw doing excellent work in there too!

Thank you very much, Rita! I am definitely happy with the results! It actually took me a few months to piece it together, but worth the effort.
