Life around the world, this is Conakry the capital of Guinea often distinguished from the other Guineas in the west of Africa as Guinea-Conakry. Once a former French colony and gain full independence from the French in 1958.
It is believed that for its punishment for opting for a full independence from the French unlike the other French colonies in Africa, the French took everything from the country and deliberately damaged the infrastructure to deter others from opting for full and total independence.
