    Totally agree.
    I got 31 marla double story 30 years old house just for the cost of the land, building is free of cost. This construction is very solid and strong , and nothing is going to happen to it in the next 100 years. I have updated it with solar system and few more additions. Kam az kam 2 crore ki abaadi free mey mili hey.

    This topic is very subjective; for some people it's way more feasible to build a house than to buy it. For some people living away from the city centre is peaceful while for others living within the city centre is convenience. So, this whole disucssion on which is better is futile - to each their own - if you think your way is the best way then I'd ask you to think again :)

      @@rememberwhenwe8 but on the whole it's practical advice. The typical herd mentality in Pakistan is to buy a Corolla or a Civic, build a house in a society like DHA or Bahriya Town, have children study in Roots or Beaconhouse, spend millions on weddings etc. This is what happens when you go to school to get marks instead of knowledge. He's talking sense. At the very least, it's out-of-the-box.

    The main issue with ready made house is the low construction standards and materials.
    You may need running around getting approvals, but you'll have more running around looking for a house with seepages and other problems.
    In most cases refurbishment is required for nesrly everything and it's qiite expensive.
    You re compromising a lot on not having the house the way you want it.
    I made the house and am very happy about my decision.

    In old houses main problem is guttering pipes , old houses has iron guttering which rot with the presage of time and leakage and drains become a problem , and main problems arise in toilets or kitchen where there is water

    Agar 30 sala purana ghar khareeden to building ke sath unka naqsha bhi purana hota he.naqsha me changes kese karenge. Extra bedroom bana sakty ya basement bhi bana sakty hen. Ya mumkin nahi.

    One should not compare the construction between America and Pakistan..... Pakistan population is increasing very rapidly .. To meet this we need new houses and apartments..... If everybody will go on to buy old house, one can imagine on what rocketing price he vl get it.

    I made new house and two contractors runaway from me and took money...I love pakistani contractors they are very good to cheat people and give bad name to pakistan...plus waiting for gas connection from last three years...Gas company are the best bribing company on earth...mashallah what a great business they do to give bad name to pakistan...

    I dont agree. Buying a house has its own drawbacks.buying a hosue means you dotn knwo about the materail, about the base or platform standard, neighbours could change and so on. Sonmany variables. The constrain of building couls be namely risk if projected vs actual cost, projected vs actual time. The examples he giving if western countries are some how true ,but bullshit happens there too. I saw numerous examples. Guus the main factor important is to educate your self. Watch u tube , visits projects, talk to people who have gone through the construction,and ask there feedback to analyse factors that should be taken care off before starting a house.
