I love this episode, because of how casually Rory takes all this crazy stuff while his dad freaks out. Really drives the point home that he's an old pro at this stuff now.

BioCapsule to be honest I'm curious if they did spend some time in Thailand so that they could answer questions when they got back. I know the doctor could probably have done some weird mind stuff to them but if I were Amy, I probably wouldn't Allow it.
I know this is a bit off topic, but would the Doctor actually be considered his grandson-in-law? Sure he falls in love and marries River Song, but the Doctor is over 900 years old; If anything he could be either a sibling-in-law or cousin-in-law (or even greatest-grandfather in-law if you want to be very specific). It's all about age and relation to the in-law family when it comes to that.
Connor Clemmons No. It has nothing at all to do with age. If your grandparents had a child when you are an adult, they would be your aunt or uncle. Despite being younger than you.

I would have loved to see more episodes like this. I've always gotten the sense that the Doctor had a lot of friends in addition to his companions, and I'd love to see more episodes exploring that concept.

I love how you see the several stages of the doctor's thinking in the 2 seconds after the door opens:

- Surprise
- Confusion
- Joy
- Realisation

This reminds me of series 2 when Jackie Tyler was still in the tardis and went along with the Doctor at torchwood

This episode is a good one. Not only does it cross two of my childhood interests (Doctor Who and dinosaurs), but it has a good story with great characters.
The way his face lit up when he said it was so adorable, he was like a little kid unwrapping the *exact* present he wanted for Christmas.

Loved seeing Mark Williams in Doctor Who.
Love the dad in this episode as well as Queen Nefertiti and Riddell. Sad part was, after Amy and Rory were sent back in time by the angels...dad lost his son and daughter in law.
And he probably knew the Doctor was the reason why he's alone now.
I was thinking the same thing and felt a huge sadness to know what becomes of his son and daughter-in-law.

I think the simple explanation would be Rule #1. The Doctor Lies. It could also be he hasn't had one in a very long time, or he hasn't had one on a normal adventure (as in not a special episode.)

There are some episodes like Fear Her and Delta and the Bannerman that I can't stand, but I enjoy this one
The cool thing about this episode is that it has two Harry Potter actors - Mark Williams (as Brian, Rory's father - Arthur Weasley in HP) and David Bradley (as Solomon - Argus Filch in HP). Also, the robots are voiced by the comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb. I've never heard of them, but I'm sure some people who are watching this video have.
Yeah, and the character who Mark Williams plays is named Brian... Williams.

It was explained (I think) in one of the Series 5 Silurian episodes that they went into hibernation (or took off into space) before the end of the Mesozoic, and were asleep underground while the apes took over the Earth. That's how I interpreted it anyway. There are also lots of different varieties of Silurian, perhaps some awoke during the rise of the apes and evolved before hibernating again? Either that or it is Flintstones logic haha :')

i think he means as in him being the 11th doctor his only gang was amy, rory, and him even if he met a few people they never really traveled with him but since now amy is gone and it's clara now but this is before clara so ne he hasn't had a gang unlike the 10th doctor
