@@anaparada7219 Interesting language from a person who appears to think so highly of their own beliefs and opinions, and so little of the beliefs and opinions of others. I really feel rather sorry for a person who is so bitter about the world and life around them. Why do you venture into the world of other people who, you evidently believe, are so different from you? Well, the Angolan wedding tradition is similar with English wedding tradition in a bit. The difference consist on non application of Civil Partnership in Angola. Moreover, the Bride is a very important person to her father. That it to say, he will have to congregate all family members and vote for an invoice that will be given the Bride to deliver to the Groom. The virility of the Groom has be to tested commonly by the Bride's Aunt if he has positive marks, both of families will make an agenda for endowment purposes before the marriage. The expertise of Bride's cooking also must be tested by her future Mother in low. If you are interested for more details push me on chart through LinkedIn platform @Eduardo Nicolau
When I was watching the Royal wedding today, I spoke to myself there were too many tradition things and vocabularies I didn't understand, then I find your video now ! Brilliant ! Up to date great stuff. Thanks.
We married in a hamlet chapel which had been closed for years. We rehabilitated it ourselves with friends. Then we had a huge picnic, and I remember my grandmother who couldn't stop laughing because a horse went and ate her carrots from her plate. It was wonderful with little money spent.
You have a beautiful singing voice, Anna! I stayed up all night watching the royal wedding from the US. I was never a royalty or celebrity chaser, but it was so beautiful I couldn't stop watching.
Hi Anna, here in Australia we follow all the British traditions, and the laws are almost the same. Weddings can range from very formal affairs to very laid-back bashes, some can be very unconventional, I have been to all sorts. Some people from non-European or non-British traditions still follow the marriage traditions of their homelands. Being of Scottish heritage I have attended a family wedding in a kilt (mandatory for all male family members). People of British/European descent can also choose to follow non-European traditions, a very good friend who is obsessed with Chinese culture was married in a red raw silk dress (a good luck colour) rather than the traditional white; before the day she gave me some of the material to make into a tie and pocket handkerchief for my suit. Weddings here can be expensive affairs too, a friend spent a crazy $100,000 (about £45,000), but most people spend much less than that! Very tasteful and flattering dress by the way - good choice. Me: would like to be married in a garden, a small intimate affair.
Wedding from different cultures are sooooo beautiful, I don't question why your friend wore a traditional Chinese wedding dress, they're also very beautiful and bright.
Thank you, dear Anna. In Italy the wedding ceremony is quite similar. The religious wedding is held in a church during a mass. No book or anything come aroung to be signed by the congregation for the man and wife. The usual meal is at lunch time and lasts up to the evening, even though many people prefer to have a big dinner in the evening. The best greetings.
You forgot the 4th response to “will you marry me?” Which is that the woman hops up and down happily while sobbing 😂 My fiancé asked my father for my hand and I think it’s still a very sweet and considerate thing to do. I’m English but was raised in Germany so I never got to experience a typical British wedding before i started planning my own. Despite this I’m trying to add English elements to my wedding for myself and my English guests. My grandma even sent me a sixpence :) When you spoke about objections you could have explained about “calling the banners” where the upcoming wedding is shared with the local community so people can become aware of the impending marriage so that they actually can object on the wedding day. Also you could explain about the rings - Not all cultures add the wedding ring to the engagement ring (they tend to replace the engagement ring with a wedding ring or move the engagement ring to a different finger). Also my mum has an eternity ring and said this is not unusual as a gift after the 1st child or the 10th anniversary.
I see you prapared for this lesson well. It's an amazing lesson, I learn a lot from it. Thanks for sharing the traditional british marriage with us! Have a good day~
Hi Anna, I really like your videos, you are very nice and have a lovely voice and a clear and perfect British accent that makes it easier to understand and learning english
In Poland Weddings are celebrated pretty much the same way as in England. There's no such things as objections. If people wants to marry they go to the priest in their church and the Wedding is officially announced. This happens long before the celebration and if someone has objections, visits a priest and give the reason. Before the couple go to the church there is a blessing ceremony in bride's family home. Wedding party always begins with a toast and the couple breaks the glasses. Then they dance. Civil partnerships are not available in Poland.
I am from Eritrea 🇪🇷 (a country next to Ethiopia in East Africa), I found all the criteria for wedding are quite similar and I think this is because of the religious belief we have in common as Christians or may be something else similarity in cultural manner. As Christians we are not allowed to get married with someone who is closely related with, however from my experience I used to see many muslims were married with someone who were closely related to each other. This happened majority but I love and respect the differences that we might have. I believe these all have their own impressions in life. Thanks Anna lovely tutor.
This was delightful. You just sold me on a traditional British wedding. Now I'm going to imagine it in my mind over and over again until it happens... 😌💕
I’m portuguese and in here the traditional weddings are very similar except for the vows and the speeches. I married 13 years ago, just a civil marriage and a reception. Basically everything like the traditional ones but without the religious part.

So cute, Anna...!!! Such a nice and lovable presentation!!! Thank you!!! It was great as usual...!!! We wish you such a great wedding as you told us about...!!!
It’s amazing if you look close to this clause (everyone else takes their seats). You have the singular (s) adjacent to the verb (take) and the plural possessive pronoun (their). Woow!! English is totally unexpected.
I do not live in England anymore, but my dream wedding would be at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. It was built with inspiration from Westminster Abbey and is one of the few churches in America that support Episcopalians or Anglicans. My family is not Catholic but I had always wanted my wedding in a lovely cathedral, which is rare to find in the states. I hope my boyfriend and his family is okay with all of this, but another thing I’d love to have at my wedding is all the women wearing hats. I LOVE that tradition in the UK! It’s so classy and elegant, and who doesn’t like wearing fancy hats? My mother (since deceased) rode in a Rolls Royce to get to the church she was married in. She had a red rose bouquet, and, in tribute to her, my wish is to arrive to the church in a Rolls Royce holding a bouquet of flowers (not sure what colour they’re going to be yet) with a single red rose in the center. I guess the one non-traditional part I wish to have as part of my wedding is that I don’t want to walk down the aisle to the Wedding March... my favourite classical song is Canon in D, and I would love a quartet to play that while I walk down. I’m nowhere close to being married or even engaged but I dream about my wedding everyday... I already have a musical playlist and everything sorted out!!!

Fantastic teacher and I like Anna how she's trying to do the best to make a people's to understand the English language absolutely she's doing well and great jobs thank u Anna. 😁😁😁
I love when you discuss culture in your videos. Learning about culture helps a lot in the journey of learning a language and makes it so much more interesting. I had a question, is there a certain time of the day to get married in British culture? Because you mentioned about the "wedding breakfast", does it usually happen in the morning? Thanks a lot :)
It varies but most weddings I’ve been to were mid afternoon. The wedding breakfast is anytime of day, just the meal that first comes after the wedding. :)
you are perfect Anna. I'm taking your lessons from years. maybe you remember me with your Instagram post I once said you don't have confidence in teaching you are a coy and you laughed and replied me ❤
Hello Anna, I loved your production! Was so funny!!! My married wasn't tradicional, we did a simple ceremony at the beach to few guests and family. It was an especial and unforgettable day in my life 😍. Thank you for your interesting lessons! Bye
The most amusing moment I remember is when my grandfather tried to shoot bird on my father's sister wedding day. After official part my grandfather summoned guests to forest to hunting. I still remember how grand aimed duck, how hi pulled trigger and then Bang! Then my grend flu in one direction and his gun flu other one. the my father ren to grandfather. Daddy was trying to catch granddad but the both slipped on mad and started to roll down the hill. Lacky nobody had serious trauma. P.S there are interesting tradition in UA. Children are trying still one shooe from bride. People believe with whow side children will lucky that woud be heard of family.

Hello teacher, I love what you are doing, your English is very clear and fluent but if you could just have your words written down below In a small character it would help us who are not native speakers to understand you more clearly and learn faster at the same time. Thank you so much, I love the ideas you're sharing with us,God will continue to bless you.
In Poland we traditionally throw coins instead of rice to wish wealth to the couple. In the beginning od the wedding party parents' of groom and bride welcome them with the bread and salt, then the couple begin the party with the first dance to the music of their choice, generally to the song with which they share memories, at midnight traditionally there is a fun called "oczepiny", when all unmaried women form a circle around the bride and dance and the bride throw her veil and when one of these women catch it, this is the prophecy that she will married first of them all. Similary in the case of men and the groom, but in this case there is no veil obviously, but tie or bow-tie. Otherwise we don't have speeches on the wedding and there is impossible to marry same-sex person and also the minimum age to get married in Poland is 18, sometimes it is possible for a girl to get married in the age of 16, but in this case the family court approval is required. Everything else looks the same as in Britain.
Thanks , Anna , for arousing such a very important topic . At this point I'd like to ask if sleeping with someone before getting married to them is regarded an adultery or not .
There is so much information that I could give to you!..... I wonder whether it is.... THAT I COULD GIVE YOU or THAT I COULD GIVE TO YOU. Which is correct? "To the best of my knowledge, "give" as a verb is immediately followed by the hearer(sometimes by both objects)without any preposition like "to" after "give".Any exception?

4th day-The Sleeping Night
5th day-Some other celebrations in the groom's house

Daddy was trying to catch granddad but the both slipped on mad and started to roll down the hill. Lacky nobody had serious trauma.
P.S there are interesting tradition in UA. Children are trying still one shooe from bride. People believe with whow side children will lucky that woud be heard of family.

Swear that’s the iPhone bells alarm clock at the start 😂
I enjoyed this video
There is so much information that I could give to you!..... I wonder whether it is.... THAT I COULD GIVE YOU or THAT I COULD GIVE TO YOU. Which is correct? "To the best of my knowledge, "give" as a verb is immediately followed by the hearer(sometimes by both objects)without any preposition like "to" after "give".Any exception?
