As a youth, I bought this record in a shop in Germany because I liked the green picture. The only Irish stuff I knew until then was Dubliners. A few years later, I hitch hiked between Wexford and Galway, playing my guitar everywhere on the way. Met so many great people, what a mind-blowing experience! Now I live in Yorkshire, but I'm officially still a German 😄 Thanks for this upload, brings back happy memories! 😃
saw them several times at Schloßkeller, Darmstadt way back in the 70s! Those were the amazing folky days 🙂
Rest in Peace Norman King
It was awesome to video visit with my Irish/Scottish family in Scotland...❤
masterpiece
Mighty glad to hear again after 40+ yrs since leaving Galway.
For those interested-
check Tony,s last grand recording
"Mandolin Mountain".
Thanks Tony. RIP.
excellent
Thank you, thank you for these uploads! Could I email you? I have a barter offer to make...
So viele Erinnerungen.
I was in the 70ies in Luxembourg at the concert-thx so much to put it here-I had no money at the time to buy the record-)
Mood altering music . I don't think you'd get a similar recording now, with the same ambience.
I played darts with Norman in frankfurt got this signed LP from him great guy and he wasn't a bad dart player either
Jerry from Eire
Moin zusammen,
A million times thankyou Pere Grino. I've been searching for these albums for years but they're all out of production now. I spent many nights with the lads on Sherkin Island back in the day. I could never understand how they could still sing and play after a dozen pints of stout. Great band and great times.
Thanks so much for posting this!
Wow!🍻
Thanks from my side as well. Great musicians, saw them back in the eighties when I was a little boy. Nice memories.
Brilliant. Very surprised I had never heard of the group. Thank you!
Thank You so much Pere Grino for uploading these albums.
Thanks for uploading! I have got the two other records but this one is really difficult to get. A friend of mine had it in the early eighties when I started listening to Irish folk but my tape got lost. Nice to hear it again.
yes, so pleased to find this again after so many years. thankyou so much....
wonderful! O_O
Danke
This is quality stuff, tfp.
Fantastic! Thank you much
Sounds very talented!
Danke, Wild Geese!
