Have you ever noticed that even when Olivia/Natalia aren't in the same room they can't help but mention each other's name. They love each other so much :) Go team OTALIA....OTALIA FOREVER
I didn't realize until now watching this again how amazing the sequence is. Flawless, the message is spoken so clearly. It is such a great summary of who Olivia and Natalia are and how much they really mean to each other.
Jessica really knocked it out of the park in this scene....WOW....Well done Jessica. Love the interaction between Buzz and Olivia...Buzz knows her so well and can see right through her. Beautiful scenes...again I say, Wow!!
I am absolutely floored by Natalia's reaction to finding out that Cyrano d'Olivia was behind every chivalrous act that Frank performed. It was like a gradual "...Ooo...sshh****t...." dawning over Natalia's reality check horizon.
I just realized that Natalia has never said to anyone, frank included that she loves Frank. I think the only time she used the words and Frank in the same sentence is when she told Olivia that she slept with Fran but did not love him. I love this scene because it's the moment that she realizes that all of the "positive attributes" about Frank that made her say yes , that could lead her to "love" Frank, is actually due to Olivia.
OMG, it just dawned on me by reading that it dawned on you. lol. Frank never swept Nat off her feet, it was Olivia! Otalia reminds me right now of what they were doing when each other thought the other wanted to move out. Olivia is convinced that Nat really wants a traditional family, and not her real passion. Nat is so in denial that I think she's convinced by Liv saying get married, and helping her with the wedding that Liv couldn't possibly feel the "feelings she doesn't understand."
and there it is, frank tells nat that she in fact fell in love with liv... her thoughtfulness, concern, creativity, and her romance. straw, meet camel's back interesting that liv said she was happy to have nat in her life, "even for a little while". she's only moving across town. brilliant writing.
Wow, I'm actually highly impressed that the writers brought what Olivia did for Natalia, through Frank that is, back to light. This is seriously one of the best story lines out there right now. This is coming from an Office and Grey's Anatomy fan where we think nothing beats "our" show LOL.
bosyeux2- Had to revisit this clip and read your post. Your recap was perfect. Natalia was swept off her feet by proxy (Olivia). Emma's My Two Mommie's essay got the wheels turning in Olivia's head first, but Nat was along for the ride (though she couldn't acknowledge it initially). Love Olivia's heart felt selfless comment about being glad Natalia came into her life and it being a privilege getting to know her. Frank never had a chance, Olivia was the real deal...and a freaking Goddess!
Olivia's mouth:"Great friendship" Olivia's eyes:"I love her" Olivia's mouth:"I'll never have a friend like her." Olivia's eyes:"I'm dying. This is killing me." I marvel how Buzz doesn't start to cry right there in his own kitchen..He KNOWS Olivia. If there's someone who understands her shift from the self cenetered bad girl to the selflessly loving one it's him. He's believed in her all these years and now, here she is. Of course he's a tiny bit preoccupied w/ the rings in his pocket..
I never tire of watching Jessica in these scenes...she was simply outstanding. Her delivery of the lines....amazing. Can't wait until she is back on Monday...I've missed her.
we'd sing and dance for ever and a day...we'd live the life we choose,we'd fight and never lose...those were the days,oh yes those were the days... I miss Otalia too...
The look on Nat's face when Frank tells them that Olivia is responsible for the special things is amazing. It is like you can see her heart began to race at the thought that Olivia is the one who really gets her, who is really responsible for so much.
Notice how Father Ray darts his eyes to Natalia when he said, "And you're both ready to do that? (sumthin') forever, FORSAKING ALL OTHERS?" He is sooo on Team Otalia's side! Kudos to the writers!!!
Either the writers gave really leading dialogue to the priest, or he has figured out stuff... And I was so psyched that the truth about the special dinner came out. Man, Natalia's face when she realized how Olivia helped, and Olivia's face talking about what Natalia deserves.
I note at the end that Olivia says that Natalia is "right" for Frank....there's no mention of love at all. The writing is SO good on this storyline....it blows me away!!
yeah, and when olivia says "it's what i want for her", she's basically saying... "i know you know i love her, but leave it alone. i've made my choice".
This is just a Master Class of acting - EVERYone has stepped up...... God, Nat's face with Father R. said be "open & honest"!! And NO coincidence that N & F used "we clicked" "(he) gets me" - exactly the words Liv described Otalia with. And now Nat knows why it seemed Frank was those things for her - Liv was Cyrano for Frank! This whole show today is the best I've seen from this S/L. *claps*
I always thought Frank was an ass for taking credit for things that Olivia set up and put into Frank's mind, but his confession that Olivia was behind all of the special things, especially early on was a good redeeming quality by him. I remember when Olivia was going to make that really special dinner and then told Frank to give it to Natalia. That was the beginning of Nat & Frank's relationship, take that away and they never would have gotten together. It's interesting to go back and see that.
Wow...just dawned on me... when Nat says, "He knew when I needed to be swept off my feet," I bet she was talking about the dinner... and then she finds out Olivia was behind it.
i love how INTERLACED the scenes were with Natalia/Frank and Olivia/Buzz. Even if Natalia and Olivia aren't in the same room, the Otalia love is there... They just can't stop thinking about each other. I liked Frank when he told Nat that Liv was behind those "special things" he did for her. We'll see if he's gonna make me like him more by deciding to let Natalia go.
God, doesn't Natalia look like a disgusted contestant on The Newlywed Game, and boy was she surprised when Frank opened that Pandora's Box. Natalia, honey, Frank isn't your soulmate 'OLIVIA IS!!"
I believe that Buzz knows that Olivia is in love with Natalia, He hear Olivia saying in so many words, that I'm willing to let her go to be happy, that's why on another scene he ask Frank is he willing to let Natalia go. One Of the keys to love is sacrificing yourself for another. And if your not willing to do that then your not in love. Olivia had no problem with it and Frank show his selfishness.
I said this on Another Channel but Frank wasn't looking for a Wife, he was looking for a Mommy. Remember he and Harley had such a tough childhood without neither one of their parents around which affected them. He and Alan Michael Spaulding (then played by Rick Hearst) both battled each other for Eleni because she gave them each nurturing and love that they didn't have growing up. Also remember how he and Rick Bauer both fell for May The Cigarette Girl at Danny's Club only to discover she worked for The FBI.
Give Frank Dicopoulos his props. As I've said before, he has very thick skin and I'm sure he's been mocked, teased, and laughed at by fans all over the world. From Frank The Wank to Frankenfurter to even Frankenstein, he won't live this down for a long time.
The only good thing she thought of Frank has just been smashed into pieces. hahaha Olivia, the woman behind the curtain, pulling on all the strings. So now in Nat's eyes, basically all those romantic gestures that seemed to be made by Frank, were coming from Olivia. and THAT my friends changes a lot of things.
sigh... those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end... sigh... just... sigh. i hated the idea of the wedding, but damn they did an amazing job with everything around it. must go, if i sigh any more my heart will fall apart.
" *raised eyebrow* sounds like they both had your best interests at heart" Come on Nat, if a catholic priest can figure out Liv's in love with you, I think you can do it too.
You know when I wrote this, I thought the writer and I was on target. When I go further into the show when Buzz see Natalia in the store he acts like he's clueless. saying maybe you should give Frank a second chance. well I guess we thought he knew but he is just as blind as Frank was. maybe the writer might change that too. oh well we have to wait and see.
This was without a doubt the worst "Pre Cana" Meeting. More depressing than what Danny & Michelle went through in 1999. I think that Father Ray knew something was wrong as he looked at Natalia's Face.
Frank was not the smartest cookie here... Not too smart on his part to tell Natalia that some of the special romantic things he did for her where all driven by Olivia and not by his own effort. He at least gave Olivia the credit she deserved but it wasn't the best move on his part...
JLs face when she asks Father Ray about feelings says it all. Everything is catching up to her. She knows this is wrong (marrying Frank). Buzz knows......he so knows!!!!!!! Nat is so talking about Liv at 1:46 not Frank. open yur eyes woman!!!!
Frank Frank Frank..........you poor fool! Do you REALLY think it was smart to tell Natalia that Olivia was behind a lot of the special things you did for her?! Clicked huh?...........I don't think so!!!
Frank? Frank? Over here mate! I think Stevie Wonder is gonna spot this one coming before you do. Someone please tell that man to pick up the clue phone
Olivia was she was behind some of those sepcial things you did for me says Natalia....yeah Natalia, the person you click with is not frank but it is Olivia
Wouldn't it have been worse if Frank had said "Olivia encouraged me to date you, and that's saying alot considering that I used to date her as well as my Father."
Yeah wow... you could just see the wheels spinning when Nat found out that Liv was behind all those "special moments". And then to say she believes in marriage and family, it was like if Nat said it out loud maybe she would believe it. I gotta admit I would be a little pissed if I was Nat at Liv (though Nat is in super denial right now) I would be like, "come on!" The dinners, the Rafe visits! Really!!! And I finding out now! Plus, Liv is the one who told Nat to marry Frank.
Ummmm if your a man and you have to ask another women how to please the women you so call click with then theres a problem, olivia had natalia in the bag and all figured out before she or he knew just by her paying attention to her feelings and her is priceless. hes so vain and hopeless lol.
I absolutely LOVE that Frank admitted that Olivia helped him...she was behind it all, and Nat needed to know that!!!
The flipping back and forth between the two scenes is really interesting. I love the editing this show does.
The look on Nat's face when she finds out that Liv was behind all those special things...."Priceless"!
That was the "End" for Frank.
EYE OPENING, RIGHT NATALIA !!
YEARS LATER THESE VIDEO ARE GREAT.
I just realized that Natalia has never said to anyone, frank included that she loves Frank. I don't think I have ever cried watching a soap lol but this one I am like a bawling 3 year old through almost the entire episode today!
OMG, it just dawned on me by reading that it dawned on you. lol.
Frank never swept Nat off her feet, it was Olivia!

I like Olivia's and Buzz's conversation... "Friendship" and "love" are just so interchangeable here... She talks about friendship, but means love...
bosyeux2- Had to revisit this clip and read your post. Your recap was perfect. Natalia was swept off her feet by proxy (Olivia). Emma's My Two Mommie's essay got the wheels turning in Olivia's head first, but Nat was along for the ride (though she couldn't acknowledge it initially).

i think this cinched the love thing for natalia...i think when ol frank said it was liv that helped him, it was the last layer that nat needed..
Notice how Father Ray darts his eyes to Natalia when he said, "And you're both ready to do that? (sumthin') forever, FORSAKING ALL OTHERS?"
He is sooo on Team Otalia's side! Kudos to the writers!!!
Ugh, it just *hurts* to watch. but it's totally amazing how CC can do that

rsrsrsr so good!!!! I love it
Brasil say for Olivia and Nathalia: THANKS FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL WORKS IN.
KISSES
BESOS
BEIJOS

Olivia had no problem with it and Frank show his selfishness.
Frank only wants a "trophy" wife. Damn frank, go crawl under that damn rock with rafe and father ray
Buzz is certainly not stupid. He knew how Olivia really felt and possibly Natalia too.
I remember this day as the day the whole BPD shouted KEEP TALKING FRANK!! Instead of the usual SHUT UP FRANK!!!!!
Buzz so knew that they were in love with each other. I can't believe Frank did not catch on sooner.
i mean all they really talk about is each other.
I said this on Another Channel but Frank wasn't looking for a Wife, he was looking for a Mommy. aaahhhhhh, I'm literally shaking here I'm so nervous with these scenes, lol....gawd, i need a drink :D
Buzz is not a stupid man. Unfortunately, can't say the same for his son.
You know when I wrote this, I thought the writer and I was on target. is natalia going to her own hanging...a blind person could see she is not into marrying frank
it's always nice when someone is willing to just dance with you : }
JLs face when she asks Father Ray about feelings says it all. Everything is catching up to her. She knows this is wrong (marrying Frank).
Buzz knows......he so knows!!!!!!!
Nat is so talking about Liv at 1:46 not Frank. open yur eyes woman!!!!
Yeah, you clicked. And after the terrible boarding house sex she avoided you like the plague!
royalxanadu ...hahaha
i think i know the priest from another soap, but i can't place it, any help?
That was such a pointed comment "It sounds like they BOTH have your best interests at heart" The both being olivia
Frank Frank Frank..........you poor fool! Do you REALLY think it was smart to tell Natalia that Olivia was behind a lot of the special things you did for her?! Clicked huh?...........I don't think so!!!
It is still heart breaking to watch some how right??
i thought i was the only one that noticed that....she is hurtin thats y...poor liv
i kno eh? buzz was the only one with eyes in his head
"I found a great man to marry." -- okay, now let's try that again with a little more feeling and a little less NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO across your face.
Frank? Frank? Over here mate! I think Stevie Wonder is gonna spot this one coming before you do.
Someone please tell that man to pick up the clue phone
Yeah, EVERYTHING she said about Frank, she meant Olivia.
Olivia was she was behind some of those sepcial things you did for me says Natalia....yeah Natalia, the person you click with is not frank but it is Olivia
I have never seen a man so clueless about someone not being in love with them.
Wouldn't it have been worse if Frank had said "Olivia encouraged me to date you, and that's saying alot considering that I used to date her as well as my Father."
Lol...Otalitis....Freakn LOVE IT!!!
poor jess she looks a little tired. i hope that she is not working too much.
Amen to that!
Yeah wow... you could just see the wheels spinning when Nat found out that Liv was behind all those "special moments".

The look on Natalia's face at 2:42 ....how sad.......
Clicked my ass!!
IT WAS OLIVIA!!! Remember the kiss you gave her she almost bolted afterwards... what kind of click are you ralking about...
zaavian Frank's kiss was like kissing an old shoe compared to what Liv laid on her.
yeah. one of many brilliant touches today, right?!
now natalia knows that all frank did was because of olvia!!
i think he totally knows
Ummmm if your a man and you have to ask another women how to please the women you so call click with then theres a problem, olivia had natalia in the bag and all figured out before she or he knew just by her paying attention to her feelings and her is priceless. hes so vain and hopeless lol.
i laughed at that.
i am struggling watching these scenes, i can't stand to hear frank talk.
haha yep he's coming down with something
this is so painful
No not like Nat...
Frank is so boring!
