I like to call my situation “pumping the breaks” I think 90% of us are on the low to no buy. I’m sticking to it out of necessity for the moment. I stopped doing wishlists. It’s a slippery slope for me. ❤❤❤❤❤
I've never thought of a wish list as a shopping list for the year. Instead I see it as a list of things I'd love to add to my collection someday, but certainly not an exhaustive list. Particularly with the way I shop (preloved vs new) it's difficult to prioritize pieces on the list because you never know when they'll come available for the right price in the right condition. No buy and low buy...I think those work better when you have a very specific plan with rules and guidelines for yourself. But then things happen. I started a low buy in 2020 but then Covid hit and all kinds of bags I loved were suddenly available at incredible prices on the preloved market because people were selling things off in a panic. I broke my low buy to take advantage of that and score some amazing deals (like a suhali LV lockit for $450) and it was 100% worth it. Great video!
You're so right- I also prefer to shop preloved, so it can be hard to say "I will buy X bag this year in X color and X condition at X price." You just have to be ready to jump when they pop up. And I've found some of my most favorite bags that way! And I'm seriously still jealous of your Suhali- that bag is stunning and the amazing price makes it that much better!
Yup this is exactly why I didn’t do a wishlist this year. I went over the last two and didn’t buy a single one. I don’t get the no buy low buy declarations. I guess if that was the focus of my channel I’d need to let people know I’m not shopping? 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah, I never stick to mine. Plus, I think I mostly want obscure preowned pieces, so it's hard to make a wishlist of those for a wishlist video. However, now that I'm thinking about it "Old IT bags still worth collecting" would be a really fun topic. haha
Yeah the Fendi First was such a fleeting fancy for me- I really wanted it when it first came out, and after seeing it everywhere, I was quickly over it! Thank you!
Fun video! I love wishlists. But I treat them just as they are, wishes. They are not a literal shopping lists like a grocery list Lol. My wishlist is an ongoing list, so things may get added, dropped or added back again. It’s really just a way to keep me organized. As for no buy-low buy. I actually do follow that. I went nuts shopping in 2021-2022 so by the time 2023 rolled around I had way too many things. I scaled back in 2023 and just enjoyed what I currently have. And anything I wanted I added to my “wishlist”. 😂. In 2024, I still have my wishlist but I am limiting myself to only buying 2 bags this year.
Love the honestly. I love a “low buy” journey I can’t lie lol it helps inspire me. The LV card holder is the bomb, I have it in empriente and I use it as my daily wallet. Love how compact it is!
I agree with you Caleb! They can serve as a great road map as you can be intentional in which you’re buying a bit. But for me, my mind changes so much doing a wishlist video or a no buy video would be a waste of my time. Great video as always😊
Wishlists are a great roadmap, “Squirrel”!!! Yeah that’s me when looking, I have my wishlist to complete a collection but there are bumps in that road with shiny objects on the side of that road 😅 But so far, only 3 months in the new year, I have been good, only baby squirrels have gotten my attention, not handbags, however I’m hoping to secure a matching wallet and bag off my wishlist within the next few weeks. I’m definitely not having the buying year I had the past two years, I was working on a goal and most of that has been met. I can admire others so I don’t get fomo, watching unboxings and reviews, and insta has kept me satisfied, I’m genuinely happy for others and truly love what they are buying. I think you’ve done incredibly well and wishlist don’t hurt, it helps us set goals 😉😍
Squirrel! haha! You added some AMAZING pieces to your collection over the last year or two! And thank you!! Wishlists definitely don't hurt, they helped me kind of road map to some of my bigger ticket bags
When I do a wishlist, I generally dont end up buying anything on it. I'm taken on a whim and often when I'm out to buy something, I'll buy something that is nothing like something on my "wishlist"!
Thankfully you didn't buy everything on all your wishlists 😆 I would be drowning in bags! But if you're declaring something *cough* low-buy *cough* set realistic expectations for the viewer.
I agree! I don’t like any of the bags anymore from my wishlist 😂😂😂 but I am also getting a little bagged out too. I’m gonna blow money on other shit 😂❤ I love your videos
Yasss, I love that energy, Julie! I was there a few months ago, and it felt good to take a break from the constant browsing and searching. And thank you!
I feel the same thing! Ive been saying that to myself every freakin year and never stick to it. Its only March and I've already blown more than half of my supposedly this year budget to 3 bags and 2 sunglasses! Also my wish list is the worst feels like it keep on changing every week when theres new releases.
I find wishlists more fun than anything, I also have rarely bought anything on any of mine. 😂 and low/no-buy for me is just a way to trick myself into justifying spending 😂 - great video as always!
Dang Caleb's claws are out in this one lmao 🥵 I actually love the idea of a no/low buy cuz hyper-consumption drives me nuts and feels v unproductive sometimes, and this is coming from a fashion lover. I did a no buy Feb and I felt like I had so much free time lol, after spending like zero time shopping for clothes/accessories. It did feel kinda annoying tho sometimes, esp when wishlist stuff sold out or I missed the end of the SSENSE sale etc. Wishlists, however, work really well for me cuz they curb impulse buying a LOT for me. I also find it really interesting how quickly tastes can change, and how like you said we sometimes look back at old wishlist stuff and it's so cringe lol
Hahaha! I was comin' for it! I can definitely see how that would free up a lot of time. I've recently swung the other way, and I'm annoyed by myself at how much I'm refreshing all of my sites and searching for stuff I don't need. And you're right- tastes change so quickly- and I've saved a lot of money not buying everything on those lists!
I'm much too impulsive to adhere to a wish list. I do keep things in the back of my mind that I might want but sometimes a great bargain pops up that you didn't think you needed. 😄 Great video!
Neither are helpful 😅 i made my wishlist for this year, it's only the beginning of march and my mind keep changing, it's so hard to keep up, also, a few on my list that I thought I really like, and now I'm like "no, it's not for me, I don't like it anymore" 😅 and I said, will only purchase 5 bags this year, I had my first bag in February, and 2 more on the way, the fact we're only at the 1st quarter of the year 😂 God save me! 🙏 Thanks for this Caleb, I really enjoyed it. Have a great week ❤
Haha- I know how you feel! I'm about to buy my 5th bag this week, and it's only March! Ugh- but I've gotten some amazing deals, so I guess that's worth something? haha! Have a great week, Aisa!
I don’t put much stock in wishlists or lowbuy (unless budget is forefront). Bags come and go, most are nice enough. Then one lands in your hands that shakes your world when you’re not expecting it. Why stymie that magical moment with a list or a rule 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah, I did a wish list this year and it's bullshit. I got one item off of it so far, and even the items that I put on it this year (including the Ricky) are off it.
Hi 👋 Caleb 😆 fun video, my wishlist which I did for Christmas 🎄 In July was basically a way for me to hone in on my likes and dislikes and what I wanted to focus on but I know if I declare a no buy a great bag will come up and I will NEED it 😆 tfs 👛🛍️🚢🎉🙏
Great video. I think your Wish lists are so entertaining. I'm interested in how your current self looks back into the past and sees what was exciting back in time. Also you'd mentioned a bag I had not heard of it sounded like "sueholly" what is that? I always enjoy your perspective.
Thank you!! That's the Suhali collection from Louis Vuitton. It's one of my favorite collections from the house- it features chevre leather, lots of gold hardware, and they're absolutely fabulous!
I have a couple of wish lists on the Gucci, LV, and Tory Burch websites that I sort of just have sitting there passively. I added most of the stuff in those lists in 2022. I may never wind up buying anything on those lists, but mostly I just added those things so they’re easier for me to find if I want to look at them again, or if I decide to eventually buy one of those items. I know (most) of them aren’t going anywhere, though I also don’t even remember most of the stuff I’ve added anyway. Haha.
I think it is ok declare a low-buy/no-buy. I don't do wish lists either. I think your circumstances will determine what you will decide to do. I live in a humid environment and I am stay at home. I hardly ever go out and I had to throw out alot of bags because they got damaged from the humidity. So now I am sticking to a couple of bags. It just doesn't make sense for my lifestyle and for them to be just sitting there unused getting damaged. Plus, I am almost done paying off my house so I am putting every little bit towards my house. This is why I am doing a low-buy/ no-buy. Nothing else doesn't matter. I think you have to have a reason why you are doing those challenges. ETA: I wanted add that instead of spending money on bags that will go unused I am buying stocks of some of my favorite handbag and designer brands.
I have the 26 cm and 30 Lindy and I love the 26cm more. The 30 is just too big but you big bags so you might like the 30 cm more. I’m 6 feet tall and 250 pounds and for some reason I feel like the 26 cm looks better on my frame than the 30 cm. The 30 cm makes me look larger. But I wear it under the arm I think that if you held it in your hands, the 30 cm would look better.
Hi!!! 😃You definitely need it to be a 40year=birkin 40, Kelly 40 and an LV 40[everyone is scooping one up bc they discontinued it☹…ps your background looks wonderful and the cream dooney bag on the shelf is divine 🙌🏻
I only have one bag on my so called wishlist .. but I have no plan getting it soon 😅 I just get bags when I actually like it.If the item and price actually makes sense😅❤
Hi there! The bag to my left, the black top handle with gold hardware is the Brandon Blackwood Jasmine. The bag on the left of the screen at the bottom is the zebra haircalf Coach Rogue. I'm not sure if these are it, so let me know if you meant a different bag!
You just fall for clutches that's it. You have a weakness for clutches and i get it. I feel like I'm worth a million bucks when i wear a clutch. Clutch my pearls there's something powerful about the stance. And it's all in my head
I am trying (work in progress) to STOP buying bags as I will ALWAYS want a bag, so Im never ever content. If I look, I will find. I was not suppose to buy ANY bags in 2024, and guess what? I bought FIVE! FIVE!!! It's March 1 and I'm 5 bags in, with the last bag a LV Petit Noe. What's wrong with me!? Lol smh. I want to learm to be content with my beautiful variety of bags, as others would be ecstatic to just have 1. I've become greedy😢. I need help, in Jesus name❤. Amen❤
I know I’m in a safe space. 🥰. I too declared a low buy this year and then proceeded to blow it out of the water in January. 😂 I also have a wish list. 10 bags, 5 already purchased. 🤷♀️ The struggle is real. Thanks for sharing. Xoxo 🥰
Do YOU find wishlist or no-buys helpful?
Unless you want to buy stuff NOPE
I like to call my situation “pumping the breaks” I think 90% of us are on the low to no buy. I’m sticking to it out of necessity for the moment. I stopped doing wishlists. It’s a slippery slope for me. ❤❤❤❤❤
Haha, I love that term! And you're right- when trying to think about what to put on my wishlist, I always add too much.
I've never thought of a wish list as a shopping list for the year. Instead I see it as a list of things I'd love to add to my collection someday, but certainly not an exhaustive list. I’ve never had a wish list. 🤷🏻♀️ in the famous words of Caleb Snell: “I just like to shop.”
Haha, wise words to live by!
Yup this is exactly why I didn’t do a wishlist this year. I went over the last two and didn’t buy a single one. I don’t get the no buy low buy declarations. I guess if that was the focus of my channel I’d need to let people know I’m not shopping? 🤷🏻♀️

"Fast fashion wastescape" is spot on 😂 so many good quotes from this video Caleb!
Haha, thank you, Millie!!
I too got over the Fendi First bag. No buys DONT work for me at all lol. Great video! Thanks for sharing 😊
Yeah the Fendi First was such a fleeting fancy for me- I really wanted it when it first came out, and after seeing it everywhere, I was quickly over it! Thank you!

Thank you!! Haha, could you imagine if they were grocery lists?! haha! That's a smart limit, it's easy to get carried away.
I totally agree!! I’ve done a wishlist and went rogue, so while they are fun they are BS.
Haha, I'm glad I'm not alone in that!!
Love the honestly. I love a “low buy” journey I can’t lie lol it helps inspire me. The LV card holder is the bomb, I have it in empriente and I use it as my daily wallet. Love how compact it is!
Thank you!! Yeah- if I ever get my hands on one, I'm sure I'll love the card holder!
There have been SO many things I've wanted that I totally wouldn't use now if I'd gotten them. 🙈 We live and we learn!
Right?! I'm glad I never bought 90% of my wishlist.
I agree with you Caleb! They can serve as a great road map as you can be intentional in which you’re buying a bit. But for me, my mind changes so much doing a wishlist video or a no buy video would be a waste of my time. Great video as always😊
Thank you, Deandra!
This year i'm doing a go with the flow year! I've tried to say i'm going to low buy but i've accepted i'm crap at it!!!!!
Haha, I couldn't pull a low buy off either! I love the "go with the flow" energy!

Love your thought process on wish list bag purchases! 👜
Thank you, Linda!
You should look at the New line for LV - gorgeous
I'll check it out!
I'm much too impulsive to adhere to a wish list. I do keep things in the back of my mind that I might want but sometimes a great bargain pops up that you didn't think you needed. 😄 Great video!
Me too basically. And I always remember things I want after the fact haha.

I never do Wish Lists. I never stick to them! And I put far too much expensive items on them. Thank you for the video.
That's so true! I got a little carried away on my wishlist a couple years ago!
I’m here because of the vintage D&B Essex bag. ✌🏻❤
Well you're in luck- my Dooney collection video drops tomorrow!
No buy, low buy..As soon as I utter the words, “Ban_Island"… poof, I’ve purchased a bag! I swear it’s karma😂
Haha, it never fails!
I have an annual wishlist. I never get it all. But I usually get more…I like to shop. It’s a problem.
Same here, I love to shop!

My no-buy totally became a low-buy!😂
Oh no!
Hi!!! 😃You definitely need it to be a 40year=birkin 40, Kelly 40 and an LV 40[everyone is scooping one up bc they discontinued it☹…ps your background looks wonderful and the cream dooney bag on the shelf is divine 🙌🏻
Agreed!!
hi Caleb, I tried the low buy and two opportunities popped up, really good deals.... so what is a bag collector to do??? I had to buy it of course.
Of course! And I would have done the same thing!
💚💚💚💚 you’re absolutely correct all BS 😂
Hahaha! Thank you, Birkinboy!
I think you never had a wishlists is cuz you fall in love with a bag instantly and want it and never think of wishlists 😅😊❤!
Haha, I think you're right, Kaylhee!
@CalebSnell thanks Caleb 😊! Just saying alot of us do that 😉 💚💙!
I only have one bag on my so called wishlist .. but I have no plan getting it soon 😅 I just get bags when I actually like it.If the item and price actually makes sense😅❤
That's pretty much how I shop in reality too.
I just use them as guidelines lol. But i prepare for the detail. lol
Minds change and that’s ok
You're right!
May I know the black top handle bag on the bottom left?
Hi there! The bag to my left, the black top handle with gold hardware is the Brandon Blackwood Jasmine. The bag on the left of the screen at the bottom is the zebra haircalf Coach Rogue. I'm not sure if these are it, so let me know if you meant a different bag!

I know what you mean- I love a good clutch!
Amen❤
I also said the same thing this year- 4 or 5 bags- and I'm 4 in and planning to add a 5th in a couple days. It's never end for us bag lovers, is it!?
@CalebSnell yes it can be never ending but I need some self control! I've been doing this viscious cycle since 2016! Enough is ENOUGH! HAHAHA!😂
never work for me the only thing is my parents took my cards for spending so much at coach retail not sorry haha
Haha uh oh!!
I know I’m in a safe space. 🥰. I too declared a low buy this year and then proceeded to blow it out of the water in January. 😂
I also have a wish list. 10 bags, 5 already purchased. 🤷♀️ The struggle is real. Thanks for sharing. Xoxo 🥰
It's such a struggle and it's so real! I get it! 💯
