I used auto translate from a screenshot of the bottle. Colorful paints Plastic dye water Color: golden yellow Joint release: 6-10 times Dong volume: 100g
@johnreel0161 it depends on what colour you’d need. Of course it works best on white plastic, but it also works if you want a different tint to the existing colour. Like if I wanted to make a Wasp custom out of bumblebee, I can do that by getting a green and some blue, and calculate how much time you’d need to get the desirable shade Or black. Drop anything in black dye and it becomes fully black.
Was thinking of trying this until I saw it requires using the head from MMC Mentis, which if you've already got, I don't see the need to convert the ES figure. Still good for dye information
I did lots of customs Transformers. I usually make OCs using and combining various parts that are NOT meant to fit together. Making the bot is "easy" for me, but painting is where I struggle. I usually use the cheap hardware store spray paint, but it's usually THICK. It's far from perfect. I also use the much more expensive Tamiya spray paint. It's way better, but still a bit thick in places. Then, I stumble upon your video and learn that I could DYE the plastics! Pale plastics, but still. I must try that out for my next custom.

So I’ve been trying to airspray gunpla and I’ve always used masking tape but paint always managed to seep through. Definitely going to try blue tack now.
AAA!! this is amazing!! rung looks pretty good with thrash's mold- this is brilliant!! ive been thinking about painting or redying a figure or two but it seemed so intimidating but you made it look fun!!
Man, makes me want to make my own customs.. need to track down that die though, do you know any alternative die that would be *close* to this in America?
I would love to know what type of dye that is. Have you tried it on the other plastic types? like POM and PA? It's the more durable Plastic Hasbro uses and it's hard to both paint and dye.
That is beautifully done. I've never thought of this process. Painting is such a PITA and if you're not good at it it looks like crap. Would this still work om a bot with colored plastic?
Not really. Dyes still work on coloured plastic but it changes its tint, instead of changing the coloured plastic completely. For example, if you want to dye a yellow bumblebee into Cliffjumper or Wasp, I believe you can. But you need to be aware of how long you leave the piece in there for. But if you want to change a blue coloured piece of plastic into a red piece of plastic, no that doesn’t work
When the Ss86 bee comes out I plan to swap his head into a g1 toy inspired head. Will see how that goes. But rarely is there such an easy custom that allows me to film it.
Great work man. I never would have expected that you use dye and not paint to change your figure's color! do throw some hairspray or topcoat or something on top of it though! I worry if the orange could continue to rub off on you! Hope to see more.
This is the link to the dye I got:

holy crap you found the holy grail of plastic dye. youve got to get us the info for this stuff!
I just asked my Chinese friend to at least translate what the bottle says. 🙏Will comment when he responds asap lol.
I used auto translate from a screenshot of the bottle.

@@Shockwave-ob2tx Yeah my friend pretty much just replied with the same thing to me lol
I’ve pinned commented the link I got it from, but not sure if you’d all be able to get to it
Brilliant custom. I've never thought to dye pieces for customs before, so this has really given me a bunch of ideas!
I think it only works with white plastics tho.

@@HightailCreations ohh. This is very informative. Thanks.

You could get the stock Thrash Head to look suitably like Rung too!
Thanks now I can finally have a deluxe class rung in my collection
Great job!! Please send us the link to pick up that magical dye.

Custom is absolutely fantastic. Trash as a transformers figure is underrated. Kinda wanna see it used for more characters.
Perfect base for a custom Sari sumdac

yes blu tack works best for me
Fantastic Rung custom!!
Wow you could mistake that as official 😅 good job!

How much IT takes to make a 3d printed figure?
I've been waiting for someone to try dying for a custom. I remember it was a thing in the Lego community way back in the day.
Nice Primus!
Before anyone gets me in the comments wrong is actually Primus but he lost his memory became a psychologist...
Man, makes me want to make my own customs.. need to track down that die though, do you know any alternative die that would be *close* to this in America?
You can do a Fulcrum custom with trasher body too!
Is their a way i could order the dye.
So now I need Rung's head.

Thanks dude!!

What if you turned thrash into rotb arcee🤔
I thought about it, I put her head on the body, doesn’t work.
I think Rotb Arcee works perfectly on the legacy prime Arcee
what 3d modeling software do you use for your other transformers like the ones you 3d model?
Where can we purchase that dye from?
Just added to pinned comment
Where is that head from
I mention it in the video… it’s from the MMC Mentis
This is great!! I bought the MMC Rung, and now I wish I could have seen this first. Great job. Any more customs? Cause you need to post them!!
When the Ss86 bee comes out I plan to swap his head into a g1 toy inspired head. Will see how that goes.

Yep, the orange stays on perfectly. I did put a gloss topcoat afterwards! Thanks for watching
Nice video🎉
Fantastic custom!
how needs to pay money for every single transformers figure from a continuity when you can 3d print all of them and they can still transform
Jacquard Acid dye works better and basically the same way
If basically the same way, how better
do you have files for the 3d printed parts?
There’s no printed parts?
@@HightailCreationswhere did you get the head from?
@VAULT-TEC_INC. I mention it in my video. It’s from mmc mentis
