Urban folk is my favourite. I started out by listening to Chas and Dave and The Pogues playing my London Irish community in the 70s. Damien is a true friend to the common people everywhere. I just love listening to his voice either on song or speech.
Keeping the Irish folk scene going.a modems day Christy Moore.glasgow Irish here and loving his music .wolfe tones, Christy Moore,Dubliners and Kathleen largely . beautiful music
they are such spastics on this show - Damien exposes who he is and talks honestly about playing music and where he's from and the two presenters are in the zone "presenting" not making their guest feel comfortable at all and never able to let their guard down
Let's be fair, here - it's just not what these kind of morning TV programs are about, and I doubt Damo is going on expecting any different. Unfortunately, these programs are just one of the things that artists have to do to promote their work.
I'm sure Damo wouldn't approve of you using that kind of language about two presenters who were perfectly polite to him. It's breakfast telly, not an arts show.
Up next... Conor McGregor on the One Show!!! Roy Keane on loose women... This reminds me of "Back to the Future," when Marty played Johnny B Goode. Damian is well on his way to become a legend none the less 🇮🇪
"Oh I always love a bit of light music on the program." Oh do ye, so? He shoulda hit yis wit a bit o "Paddy Ward" or "Colony". Good feckin morning, Britain. Time to wake tf up!
Fair play to the presenters for not cracking up taught they were going to loose it . That had to be the worst version of that brilliant ballad I've ever heard by a mile and as for promotion Irish music you can forget about that. That chap has just set Irish music back 100 years single handedly..
Fun fact: Damian has twice successfully jumped into water to save people from drowning.
One of the great Irish singers, and a good man to boot. He deserves the widest of audiences.
There's not a walking soul on this little ball of blue that could have put it better... spot on my friend...
Man can box too believe it or not
A gig for Weight Watchers members do you mean?

@@pouriksmith4322 well done damo continued success in this dodgy field of work, best wishes to you all in the Dempsey camp
As wonderful as he is, we can see the decline of ppl being proud of the uk and have no songs anymore.
I just think of Alan Partridge

Not a good showcase for what the man can do.
That was utter shite you was correct

Christ Damien, you are better than this. Spunk droplets and all that.

That’s fine because a lot of us do.
See him live it like pure energy. I was the same as you
Just go out and buy his album shots, give a listen to it and take it from there,

Like Damian, but the more red pilled I become the more adverse to his lyrics I become. Shame
Based
Omg this guy the world worst
Not my favourite version of Raglan Road by a long way.....so, he's sang with everyone....certainly not the most modest man
Yourmano thinks starting to play guitar at 12 is late 🤣
