Finished building the plumes clone I spoke about in the comments on the original tube screamer/muff post. Man what a killer TS version. I built it to get an understanding of the circuit, so I took what I learned and built a 808 version with more of a plumes gain, a 3 knober with 3 toggle, 1 frequency, 2 is expand (fat) and 3 is clipping options for silicon and germanium... Man what a beast. But yeah, like I posted weeks ago, plumes is a TS. a variant yes, but a screamer none the less.
I also LOVE tubescreamers. Plumes is my favorite of the ones I have. I actually have it in the same color scheme as the Hizumitas so they match. I also have a TS9DX and the BAT Witch Burner. I use tubescreamers with low gain and high volume to drive the amp or help a Muff be heard. Tubescreamer into muff is my all time favorite gain stack. Final thought: the turbo mode on the ts9dx slamming into my OR15 is nasty AF.
Great video. Thank you.
0:55 the timing is killing me! lol
