Where do you train your Defense Department lobbyists? You know, the ones who used to work in the DAS, the Defense Acquisition System. You know, the people who bought the stuff from the five major contractors (down from 25 in 2000). They are familiar and likely friendly with all sorts of decision makers in the acquisition chain. Most defense industry lobbyists go straight from the Pentagon to K Street, where there are 63 of them for every 1,000 sq.ft. of high-priced office space. That's just a rumor but probably an underestimation.
