What about a dryness mechanic? The longer it has been since a chunk has experienced rain, the easier it is for fire to spread. I know in vanilla there's a low key feature that makes jungle biomes (and any other biome with a high humidity) cause fire in it to spread less.
If you take al ook at OppenMiner's channel his rocket craters have gigantic plumes of smoke rising from points of impact. Dynamic smoke seen from large distances could work extremely well here
Do different treas and biomes have different spread speed/chance. For a fire to happen as quickly as ahwon in this video it would ahve to be pretty dry. I would also like to suggest making rhis work with the "seasons" mod.
make this be a random event but it causes more smoke making huge pryoclumolibus clouds causing lighting and fire tornados
I was gonna comment add smoke, but ur ideas are way better, It'd make the mod *perfect*
if localized weather was a thing lol, maybe
You should add smoke. Maybe even a new negative effect for when you breathe it in
Yeah like a Suffocating Affect.
youd like enviromine mod
Burnt with smoke: The Frame Dropper 9000
Don't worry, your pc will eventually produce it by itself

so thats why jungles wouldnt burn down.
This would look cool with a smoke effect (similar to blindness but an intense fog) in mass forest fires
Remember back in the Beta days, when Fire Spread was this aggressive, and your base catching fire was a legitimate threat? I miss those days
what if you add a semi transparent mask block on top of non-burnable blocks so their color matches the others?

We need more dynamically world-affecting mods like this!
Ура, мод про пожары в Сибири

Why the moist tropical forest so flammable?
probably because of him pushing the settings to the max?
that's insane
What program do you use to make mods?
If it's java he's probably using Eclipse IDE.
