That's crazy! I'm really glad that you're okay 👍. It's wierd how stress catches up to us out of nowhere. Also loving your videos!

Glad to hear you were okay man.
Coincidentally, I also had a cardiac incident as a new grad (in the ICU) during October 2020. I got shocked while giving chest compressions during a poorly managed code at shift change. The nurse manning the dfib discharged the machine without an indication or order to shock while the RT and I were still in contact with the patient.
Luckily, the device that measures chest compression rate/depth was insulated and the bed was grounded, apparently. I had my knee up against the bed and felt the shock travel up my leg and into my abdomen, but not my chest.
After the code, I had to argue with the nursing/house supervisor to be allowed to go down to the ER for an EKG. I had no rhythm changes aside from a few PVCs, but the RT had a cardiac history and had to be sent home.
I filed an incident report, but no one from management followed up with me until I received a bill from the ER and complained. 😂
I left to travel a few months later.

wait the defib can shock people even when it’s just charging? 😲

@@chchchjia I don't think so. In my situation, the nurse intended to shock the patient. They had misheard the doc over the chaos of the code (too may people in/around the room) during shift change.

@@and.drew212 ohhh i realized i misread your first comment. that’s crazy and sounds like it was a very poorly managed code. at least you got to do chest compressions as a student?

So what happened with your manager, did she end up writing you up? Did you quit there after that? I hope so!

It not about watching videos here on UA-cam and wasting time your time on materials and reviews that won't help, I was ignorant doing so till I got recommended to Mrs Addilyn, Some how watching videos helped me too because without watching them I wouldn't have known about Mrs Amelia
