I believe it was late 90's trip to Cancun via Spirit Airlines, ACY. The weather was heavy fog ,so we couldn't take off. They bussed us to Philly not long after the flight was canceled. Took off shortly after arriving, and got me to my destination. I am, to this day so grateful for their efforts! As far as airports, Newark is a disaster for arrivals, delays, etc. Consistently rated at the bottom. My father worked there, 50 years. Good union! Lol 😅
I never have logistic issues with Newark. It's just extremely crowded and parking costs more than my trip! It's also comforting to know that if something happens to your flight coming home, another one is a few hours away. If you're flying out of Atlantic City you have to wait for the next day at the earliest, possibly longer. Thanks John!
@@NuYawk Under no circumstances would I pay $50/day for parking at the airport. I don't know what I would do. Incidentally, I know Hard Rock/Hollywood was booked up for the night of the Florida floods, but how far was your airport in Florida from Hard Rock/Hollywood? If I could afford it, I'd go back to the Hard Rock after rebooking and spend the night betting my last $5.00. Sometimes I'm content playing pennies and betting 5 lines for a nickel a spin. It's not easy, after $5.00 bets, but I can do it and find it interesting. Twice, no lie, I put a single $5.00 bill in the slot machine and once came home with $1,600 and another time $800. One...single......five.....dollar....bill. You don't need to go and bet $1.80 each spin. It's hard to do sometimes, I know.
I'll be flying into AC from Chicago and the same airport. I'm on a MGM charter flight Sun Country. They're comping us for our flight and hotel stay at Bogota. I'll be there June 30th thru the 4th of July ❤ Love AC been there 3 Xs already never been to AC airport tho. I usually transfer from Philadelphia and then take the bus 🚌 to AC airport and then Uber to my hotel ❤ Have fun in Florida ❤😂
Btw you were half right about the 2 airlines flying to AC Spirit not American. American only takes you as far as Philly then you have to take a bus or something else to actually get to AC.
It looks very peaceful at the Atlantic City airport. Next time you go to Florida and there is a storm or hurricane, you could fly into Philly and take a NJ transit train to Atlantic City.
Perhaps it might take longer but it might also be faster. If I were a gambler I would much rather be stuck in Philly than Fort Lauderdale as your options with NJ transit are likely better than Spirit airlines.
American is on the departure monitor and there was an American airplane right next to my Spirit flight! Thanks for watching and subscribing John! Here is a current list of American flights out of AC: www.acairport.com/
@@NuYawk American does not fly out of AC, all departures are by bus to PHL. The 'flight' is on the monitor because one goes through TSA at the Atlantic City Airport where they board the AA bus and are dropped off at the Philadelphia Airport on the runway side, bypassing TSA there, as they have already been screened. And here is the tracking information for that flight .... notice the average speed of the 'aircraft': The flight distance is 73 km / 45 miles and the average flight speed is 54 km/h / 34 mph. I drive uber/lyft and in the summer I am constantly picking up people at ACY who have missed their flight (bus) to PHL. That is an easy $90 to $110 fare for a 1-hour ride up and a 50-minute ride back (average speed much faster than 35 mph). God Bless AA and their late passengers!
I just told him that also about American not flying into AC. I fly from Chicago and and it takes me only to Philadelphia. Then we get on that charter bus you were talking about ❤@@georgeb4710
First of all, ACY is NOT at fault here. Why you would title your video “Why you should not fly out of Atlantic City Airport” is completely skewed and frankly wrong. From all appearances (per YOU) ACY looks like a lovey little airport with no stress and amazing parking! From what I could see, it’s a great place. It is the airline, SPIRIT that you maybe should be targeting. It was SPIRIT and not ACY that caused your disruption. But even then, “weather” is always a consideration and risk wherever you fly to and from and that includes the air carriers themselves. Stop crying. Second, get your facts straight, America Airlines DOES NOT “FLY OUT OF ACY”! AA has a ground service (bus) transportation to Philadelphia International Airport to connect with their service there. There are NO AA flights flying into or out of ACY.
Thanks for watching Orli-g! I loved flying out of AC and never had an issue with Spirit which I use often. The issue here was the weather which closed down the airports in Florida. As I stated in the video, the reason I would never fly out of AC again is when the airports finally opened in Florida, there were flights every hour to Newark. There was only one flight per day to Atlantic City (where my car was parked). Finally, yes, I have found out from others that AA uses a shuttle service. Thanks again!

14A representing!
I used to be 14a! I used to live right over the Holland Tunnel (Newport City, Jersey City)! Thanks for watching and subscribing GenerationXtra!
The AC airport looks nice.
Very convenient and inexpensive compared to NJ/NY major airports!
👍👍👍👍

Thanks Michelle, I stand corrected!
The teaser for the Hard Rock looks great; what a beautiful lobby!
It really is a beautiful resort!
7:13 just noticed you left for your Florida trip on June 9th (on my birthday 🎉)
Happy belated birthday Keither!
@@NuYawk thanks Jeff!
I picked a friend up at AC airport once. Pulled right up to literally the first row of parking spots by the terminal. First hour of parking : $2 😮
Yes. Big difference from the 'bigger' airports! Thanks Nick!

Sounds like a good plan but it might actually take longer between the plains, trains and Ubers! Thanks for stopping by Bob!

Good video jeff. Happy Sunday
Thanks, you too Steven!
That panini looks amazing!
It was! Thanks for watching and subscribing Denise!
The lobby looks stunning. Let’s see how Vegas might look. Any blueprints you know of? That’s funny, in NY we called everyone “Joi-Z-ens.” 😆
It's gonna take two years to see what the Vegas Hard Rock will look like ... that's a long wait!

I love AC airport ~ but the only thing is the only way to get there is taxis S
I drove there but good to know! Thanks King New Jersey!
I assume he meant to Atlantic City beachfront. I don't think they have a bus service. Need taxi or Uber, I suppose.
@@johnknowles6711 there is no public transportation to the ac airport
The car looks bumpy; the convertible! I hope THAT wasn't put together by Boeing
Lol
Nope ... it's British! LOL!
American doesn’t really fly out of AYC, the put you on a bus and ship you off to Philly.

Why are there no slot machines in Atlantic City's airport? One would think there would be.
The only place you'll find a slot machine in Atlantic City is in a casino ... not the airport, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Thanks Richard!
Good idea!
